My overall portfolio is down .80% and this is my first time seeing so many red numbers. While it did really bother me, i've been trying to look at from a positive prospective and looking to pick up discounted new stocks. I guess it's a good thing I am still in my initial acquiring phase.

@Jake Farmers Agreed, following the guidance of a renowned invt-advisor since 3 years ago, my portfolio has yielded beyond $2m after subsequent investments as of today. Huge earnings came from GME short squeeze back in 2021, I'm a father of four kids, and honestly, there's no way I'd be making such a big killing myself without being bias emotionally.

I agree its hard to see it. However it was there late 2018 when rates were under 2%. They are more than double that now. Bonds are actually a viable alternative to stocks for yield, Costco's dividend (excluding specials) is pitiful. So who knows what happens next.

    • @jrocca42

@@SRParsonage with a company as solid as Costco, if they were to drop by over $200 there would have to be a major economic catastrophe imo. Hell even even Covid was barely a blip on the radar for Costco.

@@jrocca42 True but it doesn't have to happen all at once. It could happen of over a number of years if rates remain elevated.
its 52 week range is 612-406. that could move to 500-350 over the next 52 then lower again for example. I would not bet on it and its a brilliant business but there is no reason to believe it isn't possible.
