One thing I didn't mention in the video or description is that I've got a letterboxd account, so if you're interested in what I think of other movies you can find that here letterboxd.com/FelixWalton
I try to review every movie I watch on there

alright you fanatic here are my favourite films (check the trailers and its availabilty.)
Kumbalangi Nights(malyalam-indian) a film heartmelting film, i cant describe the emotion this movie gives buts similar to silent voice.
Varathan (malyalam indian) a remake of a foreign film but i dont know which though, a solid remake with an amazing climax
Tumbad (hindi movie) an underrrated gem of 2019, its a horror film but more like fairy tale on the greed of man.
JOJI(malyalam) an adaptation of Macbeth but it set in small scale. i love the piano theme in this movie.
Peranbu(tamil) havent seen it but its a beautiful film from the few scenes i got to see. not a lot people in south saw but the few who seen it love it.

I'm so happy that you picked a lot of scenes from The Boy an The Beast. I think this movie is a masterpiece and that's my favorite anime movie (exept from Miyazaki movies that I watched since I'm young) so thank you
I really love your suggestions by the way, I've wanted to see Night Is Short, Walk on Girl ; 5 Centimeters per Second and Tokyo Godfathers for so long now ahah
And thanks for A Silent Voice as well ! I actually think the manga is really better because Shoya's redemption takes more time and all the characters get to be well developped, but the movie is really good too and I'm happy people can discover this awesome work through the movie

after watching A Silent Voice i picked up the first volume of the manga and loved it, that first volume already has so much more detail than we see in the movie

That doesn't make sense there are plenty of American movies and shows that fit the description of being dirty perverted, and bizarre. Think the real reason they don't like anime is just cause it's animated. The only anime i don't like is the ones that are too goofy or have crappy animation or go from serious and good drawings to corny drawings

Not so! I love animated movies. What I dislike about Anime is that it objectifies women. You know what I mean. The girl has to be shy, cute, and innocent....to the point of being stupid. But at the same time, has to wear short skirts, have big boobs, and wave her butt at the screen. And when she is mad she has to become a crazy psycho lady who also has super fighting moves and knowledge. I’ve been to China, and I know that Asian culture values these things in a woman ahaha!

One recent anime movie I love (more than A Silent Voice, in fact) in Liz and the Blue Bird, by the same core team (and studio, of course) that did A Silent Voice. It's a small film about insecurities, learning to let go, and growing in relationships. It's a sequel spinoff to the Sound! Euphonium series which is an equally as wonderful band drama. The series isn't required to view Liz, though I highly recommend the series anyway.

      @FelixWalton  4 года назад

@@acroama3104 hmm that's a tricky one then!, I think the longest clip I ended up using in this was about 15 seconds or maybe just under, it could be that since Your Name is a much more popular movie than most of the ones I included here that it got picked up more easily, but I remember having a clip that was about 15-20 seconds long and the video was claimed, but once i trimmed it down to just a little bit under that it wasn't caught at all

This is actually a great list, but I’d still like to give some of my own favourites in the chance you might not have seen them.
You Are Umasou. This is supposed to be a kids movie, but it had me crying louder than a Silent Voice at one scene and that movie had me bawling all the way through.
Millennium Actress, IMO the best Kon movie and has me thinking about it often.
Patema Inverted. A bit anime-ish, but it’s pretty well done and cute at times. Very cool concept.
Hal. A pretty short one but still really great. Didn’t see the ending coming at all.
Oji-san no Lamp. I keep raising this score every once in a while because the story just keep coming back up in my mind. For a short film that really says something. Only around 25 minutes.
Solid State Society. A bit cheeky as the Stand Alone Complex anime is my absolute favourite anime ever, but this one is still worth checking out nonetheless. It could easily be watched stand alone and I actually believe it is better than any other Ghost in the Shell film, even the original.

Have you seen Tatami Galaxy by Masaaki Yuasa ? If not, I'd recommend you to watch it since it will exactly explain your feeling about Night Is Short Walk On Girl. The character have a depth beyond the boundaries of the film.
Not that one is the sequel of the other, but both are adapted from works of the same author, and both share characters that are quite similar. (and I'd say it's probably better to watch Tatami Galaxy first, but anyway)
About Masaaki Yuasa again, he made also Ping Pong The Animation (animated series again) which is an adaptation of Taiyō Matsumoto, who also is the author of Tekkonkinkreet, the world is small. (well, it's the world of manga and animation, so obviously it's small, but anyway)

You know, you're wrong about everybody in the entire world hating anime. There are those that love anime, despite it's flaws/problems because there are those that would rather not focas on it's flaws/problems and make whiny rants somewhere on the internet so they could have a good time. Just trying to prove my point, here. I hope you know what I'm trying to prove here. With the exception of the infamous Boku no Pico, and even it has defenders, in which they're idiots for defending that piece of trash anime.
