- Hi folks,
I'm back with another acoustic/folk/spiritual cover of a metal song.
I had wanted to record a vocal cover and a video of this song for a long time. Years ago I tried to record only my vocals on a Nightwish instrumental track, as at the time I could not play any musical instruments at all. That project never saw the light of day! But since I picked up the whistle and the frame drum I have been experimenting a lot and this is the result.
This video was shot entirely on the Isle of Wight, UK. I visited the island on my own, brought my instruments and my tripod, and shot this on extremely windy days. Despite the challenge of being both behind and in front of the camera, I am very proud of the result, which is far from perfect, but still a step forward in my creative musical journey.
