@randolphmoody2387 absolutely agree, I think, certainly from mine and madhe's perspective being yugitubers, people insist that "oh I'll copy a youtuber deck profile" then act all weird because they lose. We aren't perfect, we aren't gods, we are still learning ourselves. And our ratios and deck builds work for us. Which is why I always state "you play what works best for you, your ratios, your combo lines" etc.
5:38 toybox was the best thing to happen to this deck. People are forced to negate souls draw effect but it rarely matters unless they have 2 more handtraps
Hands down the best engine DM has ever played with. Toy box and souls gives us so many plays, so we definitely can play through disruptions with that combo.

I think it's amazing that some people don't accept this simple fact. They view it as an insult to say their deck is forgiving of misplays, when it's not. We're just saying that the deck is so strong that it can overcome poor plays. Thanks as always habibi 💚

We all have been there unfortunately. I've had it happen where I make 1 mistake that cost me a game and then all of sudden I lost 5 in a row. It happens fast so you gotta keep your head straight.
The most fun I have had in Master Duel is playing Dark Magician. When I played a more pure deck, those "A-HA!" moments in breaking down an opponents board was satisfying but it is frustrating to be constantly scared about how it could take one interaction from my opponent to crush me whether it's on my turn or theirs. I look forward to Konami updating this archetype for the modern game; the triangle strat is not only tiring but somehow still difficult to assemble. Even with the support that feels like a step in the right direction I feel like I'm one turn or one card too short (and for DM that's one too much!). I'm fine with my deck centered around a vanilla monster and the girl and using the archetype spells and traps to pack a punch but Konami needs to speed the deck up some!
DM is my most fun deck to play. The nostalgia I feel playing it is unmatched but like you said it's a very slow deck and unsupported in respect to competitive cards. Konami doesn't want to support DM because there really is no money in a deck that everyone has the cards for getting support. They'd rather release a whole new deck where you have to go and buy all the cards to play it.

Rainbow bridge dragoon straight up carried me on max duel level and master 1. Sometimes i just pitch my own maxx c on my turn to negate it and discard rainbow bridge to get the village lock
I think the souls/bridge combo is so underrated even now. I see people playing it at 1 or 2 but it's a definite 3 of in the deck because we have verte. Dragoon/village is gg.
@@kingmahde1 so true not many can play thru dragoon village. And if they can they'll be severely restricted on plays at most so hand traps and goon negate usually stops their turn. Just as usual for dm players need to be patient and know the choke points of the opponent

Great video. Makes perfect sense. If you have the fastest racecar, the car can make up for the lack of technique at times. Losing isn't just losing. Learn the matchups as you go and adjust your play. Gotta take the bad with the good some days. Keep grinding!
You summed it up perfectly. I'll beat prime Dale Earnhardt Jr. in a race car while he's driving a tricycle 🤣 There's gonna be good winning streaks and bad losing streaks and you gotta be able to play through both!
It's an awesome idea...the only problem so far is that I've played about 70 games with it and I poop you not I've only seen it 1 time and that was in my last 10 games. Idk why it's just not showing up for me to test it lol.
I like playing the rouge or even lower than rouge decks against meta too. It's just too satisfying to with this type of deck than winning with the top tier ones
I love how people don't understand the pure magic you are making with this deck. I've been playing dark magician for hundreds of hours and have found ways to get this to plat or diamond but what your doing with this is game changing. It can go toe to toe with meta instead of almost

the other day i mopped the floor with tear and with this deck you dont lose so much to tenpai as you said, dragoon wins so many games and is rewarding when they hit you with 2 handtraps and still end up on dragoon. i hope they keep anaconda legal. without anaconda we are toasted
@@Mr_Basketball95 yea we have a decent matchups with tenpai now since we only have to make sure the field spell isn't on the field and dragoons boosted up. Also i have to agree about verte. I rely on him a lot lol.
Diabellstar can you also play with this deck, free special, spellcaster, you can send rainbrow bridge or toy cards to the graveyard. ty-phon also in the extra deck to out opponents dragoon😅
Diabell is a good choice and I played her in the past but I just don't like her in MD with wanted at 1. It's a solid option with recilia/subversion to search of diabells eff. Typhon I've considered, but I may have to think about it again bc you're right it's a solid board breaker sometimes. Good call!
Building it is the hardest part to me. I always start off by thinking about what I want my boss monsters/endboards to look like, then I think of ways to facilitate that.

@ Yeah. I used to be a DM beast so I’m slowly coming back to the fold. I’m dueling with that and my Centurian/variants. Having lots of fun alternating between the decks.

some decks are definitely more forgiving than others, my example is dragon link i have been on the deck for awhile now and its def not the best deck but when i make my plays correctly and use my interrupts correctly things tend to go well. but even dragon link is more forgiving than DM i can find myself using striker at the wrong time and still end on a borrelend at minimum in DM you do something wrong you might be ending on set imperm pass

Wouldnt running 3 ioc and 2 preparation be better? Im just thinking preparation is a neg 1 just to go into ioc. Or do you like having the option of potentially using it for mag souls fodder or toybox protection?
yea even if you play perfectly, you still have to play A LOT to even get progress and climb to master. Just playing 1 hour a day is usually not enough. The more you play with it the better you get. And then eventually after months of playing only DM you will see the progress in rank ups. At least that's how it has been for me
@@metajmw4717 Yes, you will most likely have to play more games and "grind" more to progress through ranked compared to a meta deck. That's essentially the message I wanted to relay, and also that you will get better the more you play. In terms of months, i disagree since the deck has only been at full power (dragoon) for about 12 days and a lot of people got it to Master within a day from diamond. With that said it could take a while to get there and everyone's experience is different.

I'm a casual DM player than only plays master duel and my deck could win a lot of the matches I play, BUT I know I'm going to lose a lot of those winnable matches because of my lack of knowledge of when to interrupt and when to activate certain cards and it what order

Decided to build this deck list after watching the video, needed to craft a second dragoon though… only went and crafted a royal rare 😍

Isn't better to add a droll instead of ogre??
Ogre is good vs tenpai. I played droll in my earlier lists and it wasnt as impactful at stopping tenpai.

Yo how does dragoon pop Typhon at the 7 minute mark of the video? Why doesn’t Typhon prevent dragoons activation to pop?
