thanks for helping show MBT the light that is flower cardian's fun though also thanks to MBT for showing how good they are. nice to see MR 4.5/MR 5 let them continue being the "play slot machine with your deck then make stuff people both don't know and can't be bothered to read". The main problem is learning what the deck does and how it does it, from there it mainly is just playing some games out to get accustomed to it, then learning the best way to make combos. I played cardians during MR3 a bit after they came out with the second wave of support for it (with curtain), and it was a blast to randomly school people with a lightflare+rain while recovering a bunch of your hand cycling cards with willow after willow.
Then he decided to not draw anymore with his monster effect cuz reasons... just because you cheated once in a duel it doesn't mean your luck got magically lowered, ya know?
@@majordukem He didn't have luck, he was a hero because it was exciting, sometimes the topdeck won, sometimes he lost, but people love it. Then he decided to stop relying on luck.
I’m going to be honest with you, I watched the video several times, and I still have no idea what any of the cards do, but seeing what you did with it I’m committed to learn somehow
just play some of it through. learning flower cardians is easier by practice rather than by trying to comprehend all that they do only by reading. and thankfully EDOPro works, so you don't need to deal with doing the second to do the first. honestly the thing that makes their text so long is their shared effects and conditions, kind of like ghostricks.
I've been playing Cardians online for a while and and one of my Fondest Memories is intimidating a dragon link player into surrender through the sheer number of monsters I was summoning every turn.
The worst thing that has happened to me online as a flower cardian player is the fact that one time i was dueling with a guy multiple times (i like to stick and duel with the same people once i know if they are friendly or not) and he finally decided to read my cards in one of the duels, ended up with me passing turn with 4 cardians and a cardian tuner that got hit by infinite impermanence.
Flower Cardians are a deck I fondly remember for a random game I got placed in online a year or so ago I was trying to figure out a Krawler deck and got placed against someone playing HEROs and I learned how hard it was for my deck to recover as they beat me. They asked for a rematch and I Iost again, so I asked if they wanted to play against my favorite deck, Ojamas, and I defeated the HEROs. They then asked if I wanted to play against their favorite deck, Flower Cardians. It was a fantastic back and forth before I ran out of Life Points due to me still taking the damage from leaving the Ronin Raccoon in Attack Position. The next game they switched to Darklords and it was also a someone even match with them having the obvious upper hand. I saw the writing on the wall, so for my final turn I summoned Ojama Emperor. They didn't read and walked straight into it delivering lethal damage to themselves. This series of duels is ultimately one I hold very fondly as some of the best I've ever had with Flower Cardian vs Ojamas being the best of that bunch. I'm sure I could have beat them somehow had they brought them again for the next game. Thank You, fellow Yugists and Friends for Everything

Golden Castle of Stromberg was made to troll everyone who does not read its effect after all the cost to keep the thing on the field. For those who don’t want to read it. Do some work. You’ll get there. Almost. So close! It destroys an opponent’s attacking monster and deals half its attack as effect damage to the opponent.
Okay so I have been playing cardians since before link format and God bless MR 5. With that out of the way I'd like to say that your point of the end boards not being strong enough isn't usually like that in my experience but a big part of that is the fact that you don't run super all in. It's quite literally the best card in the entire archetype and you don't run it. Most of the time in my games you can easily end on double lightflare, lightshower and boardefly. I think you are underestimating how strong a +7 is for this deck. Other than that I'm just happy to see cardians they are just so much fun to play.

Something cool with Recardination: Recardination isnt a reborn, it adds 1 cardian from gy to hand and then special summons 1 cardian from hand. So, you can, in theory, use Recardination to add a freebie, like Willow, special summon one of the many bricks the deck has, and then activate the added card to summon itself, turning what normally would be a reborn into 2 special summons
I went 3-0 at locals awhile back with this deck. Nobody knew how to counter it and nobody understood what they do. It was hilarious! I'm definitely gonna take this deck out of the book and run it again soon
It doesn’t straight up lose to Nib. Unless your opponent knows Flower Cardian Cards, which is unlikely, then you would have other ways to get stuff on board. Like Super Koi Koi, or the new monster.

Joseph, you don’t need to change, you look fabulous in your Flower Cardigan. Also, I wanna point say that Zebra Grass with Moon is a reasonable inclusion, cause you can use Boardfly or Moonflower to summon it.
Learning Flower Cardian is the Yugioh equivalent of taming a dragon; it takes forever, it’s dangerous, and you are going to get burned. But once you master them you’ll be unstoppable
It was the first deck I ever built, but the cards were printed during MR4, and I basically rellied on soul charge to do anything. Flower Cardians have always been that cheese deck that could do incredible stupid stuff, and they just got better with rule changes. But not a whole lot of people play them because they're so xenophobic. They're only consistent if you stuff your deck Flower Cardian cards. Given, that makes the cheapest build also one of the most powerful, but from a competitive standpoint that's a death sentence

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEENJOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY! I feel in love with deck on the anime. Chojiro had a good tier them and his duels were hype. Too bad it was ARCV and no one is allow to have nice things but Yuya. Though, I wish for a L1 that lets you treat other Cardians as tuners, or hell summon one from hand/gy.
A level 12 synchro that requires 5 monsters and a tuner as material and has a good effect would be pretty cool (they have a synchro tuner, so they can put 5 monsters and a tuner on the field)
I've been taking Cardians to competitive levels for years now, and once got top 8 at a national level tournament with it! Such a fun rogue deck. Opponents totally have no idea how to counter it lol Here are some fun tech choices: 1) Vanity's/Majesty's Fiend Since you can start easily without normal summoning, Vanity's and Majesty's Fiend are nice alternate win conditions. Vanity is also a nice Allure target if you choose to run it. 2) Card Advance Additional stacking is always nice, and the extra tribute summon you get from it can synergize well with Vanity's Fiend. Also, you can stack some spell cards with it, then use Allure to draw the spells, then just banish a dead Cardian. It easily provides more control over your plays. 3) Isolde-BLS-Linkross Package By running an Equip (I recommend Moon Mirror), a simple combo would be going to Isolde, search for BLS. then dumping the equip to summon Pine. Then, link away the Isolde for Linkross, summoning 2 extra tokens for you to synchro. If you have Peony, sync away the 2 Linkross tokens to go to Borrelload Savage, which can grab Isolde for 2 free negates. I was featured at Mkohl40's channel for my top a few years ago, would be nice if you can check that video out too. Thanks for featuring Cardians!
Oh almost forgot, before anyone accuses me of cheating: Of course I am aware of the Cardian-only restrictions. Simply do your plays before summoning the Willow. This also means dropping the Flower Gathering package entirely (no Zebra Grass and Paulownia). Summon your Willows last, synchro it away immediately, preferably for Boardefly. (That card is low-key busted, a lot of decks cannot handle grave control early on) Cheers!
@@Cashew sweet choices, I never thought about Isolde into Linkross (though if Linkross goes the way of the dodo like in the OCG, I will cry). For anyone who is interested in other extra deck tech choices: the high rank Xyzs are sometimes worth it but you'll summon them once every blue moon and they are mostly win-more cards. This video caused a stupid Seven Sins buyout, so if you can't grab it there is still plenty of extra deck space to work with: - With the proper build/if you draw enough extenders and can get 3 Cardians off Koi Koi, going into Apollousa as your 5th summon is possible if Nibiru is a concern. - Tied into the above, Number 65: Djinn buster is another monster omni-negation (with burn as an added bonus) that you can make after a successful Super Koi Koi, using fewer resources than Apo. - Crumble Logos is another good Xyz which can come up going second. Don't underestimate Clover with Boar and Maple with Deer as board-breaking tools if you're forced to go second. - For the Main Deck, we might never get Fairy Tail - Snow back but she used to be back-breaking for the opponent if you milled her off a tribute Cardian. In her stead, I've found that a cheeky one-of Darkest Diabolos triggers nicely off your tributes.

This was one of my first decks and I've always loved them. I personally like the 'upgrades' as they make for an easy double lightshower with their 'SS the Flower Cardian you Draw' effects. The deck is basically Drawn Cardians go brrrr
"play 2 koi koi"! Haha just kidding. As a FC player, i know absolutelly all the effects and plays. Was not a easy way, but i love this deck. Also, playing Super All-In doesnt mean it's been an FTK. It kinda helps you a lot about consistency (also luck), and go your plays further. This deck is amazingly playable now and when the support comes, then we shall ENJOY them even more.
We need more Archetypes like this Imagine going to your local Tournament and Gladis strolls up and deadass starts playing Solitaire, then XYZ Summons the King of Hearts with like 12 materials
A really cool thing you can do with recardination. When you grab willow from the grave you can special a tributing cardian from the hand instead of the willow, then special the willow from your hand for free.
I'm glad I've stuck with playing this deck for fun. I always got a Rubik's cube around with me to had my opponent to when they didn't care to read or wait on me finish summoning. Also good cards to side with this deck, warrior returning alive, allure of darkness, desynchro, pot of avarice, card advance, one for one.
MBT: they won't cost you money Me: well, they say time is money and I don't have money. Less money means more time .. Flower Cardians: hey, we've got the time Me: *sobbing gently until death*
The only thing I would suggest is that its worth running some high impact spell/trap cards to dig for with zebra grass, recardination, and super all-in's discard effect. A single copy of judgement, red-reboot, or gravity collapse that you can dig for I think raises the ceiling of the deck. especially since the deck is fairly vulnerable to dark ruler no more.
Super all in isn't exclusive to ftks, you can keep tributing your big synchros to then summon them and possibly end on a board of multiple lightflares and lightshowers
You could also play herald of the arc light, void ogre dragon and quantum dragon in the extra deck since you can summon them really easily, if you are going up against a multiple negates deck and you had to go second you can side in dark ruler no more or droplet cause you can add them off of recardinations gy effect.
I love using Herald incase I know this deck is most likely maining decking Nibru. Otherwise a negate and macro is nice to have, I might have to try those other two.
I would recommend De-Synchro even in a non ftk version. You can make a synchro out of multiple willows, de-synchro to get them back, then use their effects again to draw more cards. You can usually then get 4 bosses and still have 5 cards in hand when you’re done.
aight now use lyrilusc, those smol level 1 birds that can make otk mega xyz need some love, particularly when you combine the effect of stoic challenge (the equip spell) with lyrilusc independent nightingale, to put it short, non destroyable by battle or card effect, using the right mats makes it un-targetable, and it attacks more times and has more attack based on the ammount of materials it has, also it can just attack directly as a continuous form of self effect, roughly translating to ~3200 ish attack, attacking 4 times and still surviving till next turn
Its not a co-incidence that I beat numeron eldlich with Machina Infinitrack Trains that same night he recorded his duel against Blue Boi. Tbf my deck seems to not care about Utopic Zexal thanks to cards like the Machina trap and Urgent Schedule.
Still think de synchro is broken obviously not for a burn deck but getting to trigger 5 draw effects twice for 1 card guarantees you enough gas to make all your bosses
Here I stand, laughing at everyone who still can't comprehend Flower Cardians I memorized every effect and have been able to play the game without speaking with them.

Of course I am aware of the Cardian-only restrictions. Simply do your plays before summoning the Willow. This also means dropping the Flower Gathering package entirely (no Zebra Grass and Paulownia). Summon your Willows last, synchro it away immediately, preferably for Boardefly. (That card is low-key busted, a lot of decks cannot handle grave control early on)

@@Cashew sweet choices, I never thought about Isolde into Linkross (though if Linkross goes the way of the dodo like in the OCG, I will cry). For anyone who is interested in other extra deck tech choices: the high rank Xyzs are sometimes worth it but you'll summon them once every blue moon and they are mostly win-more cards. This video caused a stupid Seven Sins buyout, so if you can't grab it there is still plenty of extra deck space to work with:
- With the proper build/if you draw enough extenders and can get 3 Cardians off Koi Koi, going into Apollousa as your 5th summon is possible if Nibiru is a concern.
- Tied into the above, Number 65: Djinn buster is another monster omni-negation (with burn as an added bonus) that you can make after a successful Super Koi Koi, using fewer resources than Apo.
- Crumble Logos is another good Xyz which can come up going second. Don't underestimate Clover with Boar and Maple with Deer as board-breaking tools if you're forced to go second.
- For the Main Deck, we might never get Fairy Tail - Snow back but she used to be back-breaking for the opponent if you milled her off a tribute Cardian. In her stead, I've found that a cheeky one-of Darkest Diabolos triggers nicely off your tributes.

For some reason they have a pretty good matchup against eldlich because of the one synchro

I didn't think I wanted to see MBT in drag, but after that cardigan skit... my mind is changed.
This was one of my first decks and I've always loved them. I personally like the 'upgrades' as they make for an easy double lightshower with their 'SS the Flower Cardian you Draw' effects. The deck is basically Drawn Cardians go brrrr

As a FC player, i know absolutelly all the effects and plays. Was not a easy way, but i love this deck.
Also, playing Super All-In doesnt mean it's been an FTK. It kinda helps you a lot about consistency (also luck), and go your plays further. This deck is amazingly playable now and when the support comes, then we shall ENJOY them even more.

A really cool thing you can do with recardination. When you grab willow from the grave you can special a tributing cardian from the hand instead of the willow, then special the willow from your hand for free.
my friend introduced me to flower cardians, i never actually knew what they did i just pressed activate effect until i could synchro summon

The fact that this deck has, besides all of the summoning, in archetype floodgates is terrifying
I'm glad I've stuck with playing this deck for fun. I always got a Rubik's cube around with me to had my opponent to when they didn't care to read or wait on me finish summoning.
Also good cards to side with this deck, warrior returning alive, allure of darkness, desynchro, pot of avarice, card advance, one for one.

Me knowing what these cards did was so helpful tbh. The deck is a lot of fun once u read the cards
The only thing I would suggest is that its worth running some high impact spell/trap cards to dig for with zebra grass, recardination, and super all-in's discard effect. A single copy of judgement, red-reboot, or gravity collapse that you can dig for I think raises the ceiling of the deck. especially since the deck is fairly vulnerable to dark ruler no more.
I personally side Reboot and might do Judgements just in case.

Super all in isn't exclusive to ftks, you can keep tributing your big synchros to then summon them and possibly end on a board of multiple lightflares and lightshowers

You could also play herald of the arc light, void ogre dragon and quantum dragon in the extra deck since you can summon them really easily, if you are going up against a multiple negates deck and you had to go second you can side in dark ruler no more or droplet cause you can add them off of recardinations gy effect.
I love using Herald incase I know this deck is most likely maining decking Nibru. Otherwise a negate and macro is nice to have, I might have to try those other two.
If like me you never want to know what the flower cardians do skip from 2:47 to 6:17 Trust me, it's better for us all that way.
I would recommend De-Synchro even in a non ftk version. You can make a synchro out of multiple willows, de-synchro to get them back, then use their effects again to draw more cards. You can usually then get 4 bosses and still have 5 cards in hand when you’re done.
Super all in! Is way better. It's an in archtype de syncro
@@1slayer959 also it is literaly a Soul Charge summoning always 4 any mosters from GY instead of the used materials for synchro. Yeah. Even better
@@marcioaugusto392 the archtype also has a built in loop hole by having light shower on the field to completely ignore the risk of the card.
aight now use lyrilusc, those smol level 1 birds that can make otk mega xyz need some love, particularly when you combine the effect of stoic challenge (the equip spell) with lyrilusc independent nightingale, to put it short, non destroyable by battle or card effect, using the right mats makes it un-targetable, and it attacks more times and has more attack based on the ammount of materials it has, also it can just attack directly as a continuous form of self effect, roughly translating to ~3200 ish attack, attacking 4 times and still surviving till next turn

Its not a co-incidence that I beat numeron eldlich with Machina Infinitrack Trains that same night he recorded his duel against Blue Boi. Tbf my deck seems to not care about Utopic Zexal thanks to cards like the Machina trap and Urgent Schedule.
Still think de synchro is broken obviously not for a burn deck but getting to trigger 5 draw effects twice for 1 card guarantees you enough gas to make all your bosses
