I just got mine last night....the entire 45 rpm Analogue Productions box set....if you're gonna go all the way....you better do it right....these are gonna be in my coffin when I hit the ground....
The Analouge Producions re-issues of The Doors albums sound amazing probably the best they will ever sound and they are still in print. I have three from this series The Doors self titled, Strange Days and LA Woman. I might get Morrison Hotel later this year thing is i have 70's re-issues of all six of The Doors studio albums and those sound good. Oops didn't know i commented on this video a while back. These reissues are super high quality in and out highly recommend these.
I have the self titled and Strange Days from this series of re-issues and they sound great almost the best these albums have ever sounded. I have never seen an original stereo or mono pressings of self titled or Strange Days but would love to come across them. For now hearing the 50th Anniversary mono mixes is good enough for now and way more affordable. I i might pick up Morrison Hotel and LA Woman 45 RPM sets. Great video! Thank you for uploading this!
We agree on each other a lot :). People that buy digitally remastered rubbish basicly have a LP that sounds like a cd.. I just try to get the original pressings and if I can a first pressing. I just like to have an original part of music history.
That makes sense. Do you know if they made these records the same way like they did in the 60's? I like this boxset, but I don't really like the 45 RPM format. I don't think the advantages in sound quality out weigh the disadvantages. I personally prefer original vinyl records. I have The Doors debut, Strange Days, LA Woman, Weird Scenes Inside The Goldmine, Stars Vol I and Vol II. All original and they all do sound fantastic.
They say they are the best recordings ever made about the Doors so I'm surprised about the comments here...some audiophiles even say it's one of the best recordings ever in the vinyl industry...the sound is that good...I just ordered mine from soundstagedirect with the limited edition box set, can't wait to listen to this, I also own the other box set so I will be able to compare.
There are many great sounding CD's. The average pressings SUCK. but if you find a master Recording from "MFSL" I would stack it up against ANY LP. If you A- B the Vinyl & the CD blindfolded which one would win?
I know your comment was from 8 years ago but yes it is censored, i don't think they released the uncensored version until the 90's. It wasn't part of the master
good but that AP sounds better, but DC pressings I think sounds better... but $50 each, what a rip off, thats the new bizz for AP sell 45rpms in high prices and by the way they not reproduce de corners of the la woman... so bad!

So after 7 years how do you feel about your purchase? Do you like what you hear?
Tell me from which performance is this song playing in the background?
uuuhhhh esa cancion del recital esta zarpada , y tambien el box set
Question. Break on Through and The End, censored or uncensored version?
Why did they reissue these records on 45 RPM vinyl? Does it enhance the audio quality?
This looks nice but I'll stick with my original copies. Hopefully this is better than those awful cd reissues from a few years ago.
peep are raving that its the best from the bests
