Great video Pete, watched throughout and enjoyed. I also am pretty much analogue, apart from my Boss BR16 recorder. I never use computers or screens. your right, it ruins music with unlimited options. Ill be searching for a decent reel to reel soon. Cheers.
Hey Paddy, so glad you enjoyed the video and especially that you stayed with it till the end! Great to hear you'll be looking for a reel to reel. With luck you might find a good machine like mine for around €1500, but be careful before you buy. Also don't risk post/freight, it'll get mashed. Worth driving some distance to pick it up so you can try before you buy. Take someone who's savvy with you. Worth watching RUclips videos to find out about the machine beforehand. You'll have to do some basic maintenance yourself in the future, qualified engineers are rare and expensive, but if you buy a machine that's been serviced recently and/or is in tip-top condition, all you'll need to do is clean the tape path before each session and only use new good quality tape (RTM). This 2-part video is great for finding your way around the Tascam 38. Good luck! ruclips.net/video/WmmISar_yeQ/видео.html
Great, enjoyed the walkthrough of your studio. Good to see how you’ve setup your analog recording process.
Thank you @zz9alfa! Glad you enjoyed it!
I feel very similarly. the analog process is much more musical than staring at a screen.
That's great to hear @sandybeansconqueso!
