The part of your daughter reminding you, oh this is a good thing when in your mind at the moment thinking I don’t think I can do this. I starting tearing up because the Savior is with us after all we can do, to relieve us from the struggle of pregnancy and delivery. This pivotal point of crowning creates a huge self esteem of I can do extremely hard things more than I ever thought I could bare because the Savior is with me. My last 3 babies were water births I felt so empowered i had 2 natural + 1 epidural at the hospital and there is no comparison. Water birth is the best.🌊 Love your testimony and her name. Oh so wonderful! Congratulations! What a huge blessing! I had a horror story of a first birth, ending in an emergency c-section. So with my second I got a midwife, but I still had to deliver at the hospital. My second, third and fourth boys were all fully natural but in the hospital. Laboring in the car is horrible! I also had a dream after my second boy about a baby girl, but after our 4th boy we decided to stop trying to get her here our way. After almost 7 years God decided to finally surprise us with our little girl. We had her at home and it was the most calm of all my births! I’m so happy for you and your family!

All of mine I had prodomal labor and I didn’t even learn that term until just recently. My youngest is 5. That’s just normal for me and it’s exhausting!!! Sometimes 3 days, sometimes longer. That and back labor. I had 2 at the hospital with epidural and 2 natural home births. natural is for sure the way to go! I think that’s amazing your daughter was so involved; what a blessing!!

I groaned out loud when you said you were only 1cm, and then I laughed out loud when you mentioned saying you couldn't do it during transition (I totally remember saying that during my 1st homebirth -- it just came out of my mouth and my brain was like, "Why did you say that? You know you can do it!" So funny!) And then I cheered with you as you pushed her out and loved the waterbirth (no tearing for me either! Water birth is ah-mazing.) Congrats! And thanks for sharing! Having had two home births in water and 4 hospital, I can attest that the home birth was absolutely incredible and I never regretted it. I would suggest anyone who wants to home birth to research spinning babies, rebozo, acupressure, and Hypnobirthing birthing. I am a doula living in Canada and highly recommend hiring a doula to at your birth. I believe birthing is spiritual and cleansing in a way. That is hard to explain. I love how you connected giving birth to participating in the Saviours purpose. ❤

Praise God! He is so good and so faithful! Penelope is just perfect 💕 congratulations! Yes, a 9 pound baby is big! I was 9 lbs, 4 ozs. My poor little Mama 😆 my largest was 8# 12oz. So just shy of 9# but I have a much bigger build than my mom. I'm so thankful that you have a positive birth story, even though it was a long labor of love. I'm sure your boys were very concerned for you and their baby sister. It is hard for boys/men bc they can't stand for their women folk to suffer and they feel so helpless bc well, they can't really help you in this situation. I had prodromal labor with a few I'd contract for hours then it would just stop. I'd get a good nights sleep and get membranes stripped the next day and it would pick up and finish but i would basically be walking around at a 6 dilation 70% effaced it was crazy. Labor is quite an experience.
