Not that you're saying it is, but it's not fake. It's called a very skilled and very fast drummer who has his whole kit triggered. Which is fine, that's the sound Rings is going for, inhuman. That's why the guitarists use things like fret wraps. It's not like they hide these facts.
I'm getting tired of every time there's a new Rings album, people go crazy with the cheating stuff. Once again I'm not accusing you, I'm just venting. 😉

James Johnson Exactly, it’s mostly Non Musicians who judge a skilled musician like they are an expert in the field or Jealous Biased Musicians who can’t pull off what there judging so they bash it. Then you have the idiots who try to make music playing into a competition by saying one drummer, guitarist, bassist, etc is better than another which is so stupid because each musician has a completely different style of playing there instrument even when playing the exact same song. People just need to sit back, stfu, and enjoy the music being played.

I was hesitant to upload these videos (this and mental prolapse) I hear lots of errors but ehh fuck it. but to answer your question I have been drumming for 25+ years, Drumcorps(drumline) has helped a lot for my hands. when I was 16 years old I would drum for 5 hours every single day after school up until I turned 20. I am now 34, and I have 3 kids so the last several years has been quite difficult to get much practice in. But all you really need is 10 minutes a day. cheers

This cover blew me away. It is like JAW DROPPING GOOD. You can't hear the drums as well on the album version, so you don't realize exactly how hard and complex they are. The album is def geared to showcase the guitars. I had no idea how often the 8000 bpm on double bass was used in this song until I saw this cover. Excellent, Excellent Job!

But I know what you're saying, and I agree the drums are low in the album mix IMO that is why I started making these videos so people can hear what I am actually playing on the album. This is definitely not fake or sped up. Look at the cymbals after they are hit and you will see. Every drum is triggered and the velocity is basically set to minimum or maximum depending on the module (so you could poke any drum with your finger and it would produce a full loud hit) so that's why it might sound fake to the average person. The other thing is the minor imperfections. He is actually playing this and this man deserves more respect than what he is already getting. This takes insane amounts of time, dedication, and effort. Don't hate just because you can't do it yourself.

Watch his cymbals. After he hits them, watch their hang time, where the continue to mave after being hit. It matches other videos which we considered played in real time. I've spent a few weeks studying this lol
