Warrior is an American martial arts crime drama television series that premiered on April 5, 2019, on Cinemax. It is based on an original concept and treatment by Bruce Lee, and is executive-produced by his daughter, Shannon Lee, and film director Justin Lin. Jonathan Tropper, known for the Cinemax original series Banshee, is the showrunner.
In April 2019, Cinemax renewed the series for a second season which premiered on October 2, 2020. It was Cinemax's final series before ceasing production of original programming. In April 2021, the series was renewed for a third season, along with the announcement that the series would move to HBO Max, later rebranded to Max. The third season premiered on Max on June 29, 2023. In December 2023, the series was canceled after three seasons.
Set during the Tong Wars in late 1870s San Francisco, the series follows Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China in search of his sister, only to be sold to one of the most powerful tongs in Chinatown.

This is the best show I have ever seen, and I should know! I am 78 years old and have seen TV shows since the 50's. Netflix would be very stupid to pass up an opportunity like this.

This magnificent production deserves a fourth season. There is a reason why "Warrior" has such great reviews and such a huge fanbase. It is amazing. A high quality series like this that helps to tell the true history of our country--and the struggles of the Asian immigrants who helped build it yet have generally never been recognized for what they went through and how much they suffered--must be told. Yes, this is entertainment but based on true facts thereby giving viewers an opportunity to imagine what life was like for those who were oppressed living in those times and how difficult it was to survive under unimaginable circumstances. To relegate a story such as this to merely three seasons leaving viewers without a proper finale is disingenuous and disappointing, not to mention a bad business decision in my opinion. Everyone I have recommended this series to has raved about it. All it needs is more publicity. In any event, I hope Netflix makes the right descison and gives this series one or more seasons. It certainly cannot be denied Warrior is one of the best series ever produced and needs to be given its' due.

Why the hell does this great show keep getting dropped. It’s in my top ten of tv series ever! #1 is Breaking Bad. # 10 is Dexter. This series is somewhere in between right after Game of Thrones and Vikings. This show is incredible! WTF we need season 4!

The series have some truth to the timeline of this amazing story. Having to study in college and research to write my term paper about this subject matter, I am loving the characters who are portraying the lives these people lived in this era. I would love to see more of the Warrior series in the future and, Netflix revives this incredible depiction of this time era.
I am anxiously awaiting season 4 and many more to come after. I’m a diehard Brandon Lee fan and I can see so much of him, and his father in the show. Shannon Lee is also in spirit of the show like Mai Ling, being a woman at the top of the game. Love it!!

Agree with all comments I’ve seen….. great action, fantastic story line with ever changing intrigue….. Warrior is one of most enjoyable action series I’ve seen in a long time…. Definitely needs Season 4; and why stop there? As long as the writers can keep changing the mix of mystery, new characters, action and content, it could almost go on forever!!!!!

Intelligent slow burning storytelling. If only american history class could include this myriad of aspects , high school students could actually turn out more socially aware and understanding of the real people sharing their world. Where did they find these actors, masters of nuance, so much said , and much said without saying. Don’t be fooled by the awesome and amazingly choreographed fight scenes, this is also a multilayered tale of deep substance.
This has been one of the best shows I’ve seen in my life and the story line has been amazing. Needs 4 more seasons let’s go #Netflix bring back warrior

What a great show. It's not just the action . but the acting is great and the characters are perfect. If Warriors comes back for more seasons, make sure that none of the main characters die, especially Chao. He has to heal from those wounds. We need that guy. The S.F. Cops are great too as well as the Irish guys. The 3 Amigos have to eventually become friends again also.

If you have a series where the core main characters are always safe well it gets boring and some are inevitably like young jun
it is impossible for them to become friends again Because Young jun is evil and Ah Sam while flawed is fundamentally not a bad guy so them becoming buddies and forgiving each other is impossible.

It went down hill in season 3, Bruce Lee daughter and writers added the LGBT propaganda too much
I think the show is still amazing but the added lgbt pandering bs in S3 is completely unnecessary in a story like this. I just turned a blind eye to it ignoring all the gay ass scenes as if they never even happened. Hong is presumed dead so hopefully there won't be anymore of that, but then again... it is Netflix. Like the guy said this shows future is truly uncertain.
