This is so weird for me to say this as we are nearly approaching 4 years, as I know people have lost someone but for me who hasn't , lockdown one was one of happiest period of my life (especially when furlough was announced and approved by my employer ). I was gyming , baking , gaming (war zone) with the mrs, using house party and teams to day connected with friends and family had a proper daily routine and got so much done around the flat , sure it was was frustrating in the beginning lining for hours in line at Sainsbury's etc just to do a quick shop. Even looking forward until Thursdays at 8pm for the NHS claps truly nostalgic for me.
Yeah it was a weird but wonderful time
2020 is a year I want to forget, my marriage ended and I almost lost my dad to COVID-19.
So sorry to hear, hopefully better things are coming your way. Stay strong! 😊💪🏻
Things will get better man 2021 is going to bring great things your way
And people are saying "It's just a cold".

I came down with a strange unidentified respiratory virus in December 2019. I ended up in ITU for a month in respiratory failure at 39 years old with not much hope of recovery. I did pull through but was left completely physically and mentally obliterated by what happened to me. I remember in February 2020 when I could finally physically recovered, my husband took me to Rome. I kept seeing things about this virus and began panicking. We left early and went back to the UK and then my nightmare began. I started seeing the pictures of the people in the ICU on TV and that’s when the PTSD triggered and I spent the next year terrified which eventually lead to a complete mental breakdown. Honestly the worst year of my life, almost lost my marriage, our home and my life. Dealing with the deaths of family and friends, completely isolated from everyone. Never again.

Yup, that sure is very 2020
We should have known due to the foreshadowing...
2020 and 2021 are two halves of an epic story arc that will define our world for generations to come.
I like staying at home so no difference for me I am always in tier 4.
We are the same person, lol.
😂 😂 Same
same lmao, i loved lockdown
Me too, makes me feel less bad about being antisocial!
@@Beastgrows me too! x
tort me how priceless our freedom was and how much i take it for granted
this is a year to remember. corruption at its highest levels
"No one could have imagined...." err I think China could. Whether from their lab or not, they covered it up in December. Not that this Tory govt would have done anything with the extra warning.
I hope we do not forget. When the next pandemic comes around we have lessons that need to be remembered.
in 2120
The government need to remember who stepped up for this country.and how they are repaying the frontline and keyworkers in 2022. Some people have very short memories.
Exactly.
Watched 10 minutes thought what the hell am I doing! Depressing much. On Christmas Eve!
Depressing as fook
I’m watching on Christmas Day! What am I doing? I know if was a rubbish year!
idk there's a tiny bit of nostalgia about watching the beginning of it...in a weird way...like man remember back when things were bad but not as bad as they are now? lol

Mum tested positive for covid on December 23rd but she was fine after 4 days. I also told her about 1914 after hiding it for a long time
Why did the UK and other countries not close borders so the virus stayed in one place instead of causing a global pandemic??
Because it was planned. Come on wake up look on the great economic reset website for a preview of the next few years

Wrong title, 2020 year Tory incompetence
Torries become always incompetent since they let the corruption and greed close their eyes
oh yeah labour wouuld have done better innit hahahahahahaha
It started of so dark and so awful, then light came through the dark and it became an oddly amazing time to be in on especially virtually and then after once the virus eased and was treated to great weather as well
It really began in late 2019
@🌈Katie🌈
It came into Uk in February
I went watching some of this little documentary yesterday!
2021 won’t be any different
The vaccines make it better
This time was the first time in my life when i came down with what i thought was the flu, but kept getting worse, fever coughing and scared once i couldnt even make it to the bathroom i would be struggling to breathe....then the fear of the end of the world being upon us as breaking news was all that was on tv, then to make things worse at 8 am one morning, we experienced our very first sizeable earthquake, ebough to destroy our home and throw me to the ground ...terror upon terror piling on. It was scary
2021 isn’t going to be some magical year.
What makes it magical?
but it'll get better once more people get vaccinated.

It will. I keep having dreams about 2021 being the best year
I miss the 2010s.
It's sliding the wrong direction humanity : next century will be the real decider for long term future on planet.
This year has been the worst yet we all need to forget this year 🦠
I would like to forget 2020 really cause its been the worst year not only for myself but for people round the world we have lost so much to this virus too, I just think its time to say goodbye to 2020 forget it and move on to 2021 hoping that it'll be better year for all of us but 2020 will be year I will never forget.
Erase 2020, 2021 and very beginning of 2022. When all the mask mandates went away and social distancing and other restrictions that is when life started getting back to normal, thankfully

SKY NEWS: 2020 a year to forget?
Me: Done!
This year is unforgettable
For all the wrong reasons
A year to forget? Never!!
Nope, 2020 was the year my grief over 1918 started and I can’t believe it’s almost a year on and it’s on my side now
The 20's, a decade we will wish we could forget, at least those who make it.. end days
No Kay Burley for a while , well at least for some of us , 2020 wasn't a complete disaster !!!
I miss 2020 very much. My favourite bit of the year was using Zoom.
2021 will be pretty much the same. 2022 will be back to normal.
That’s what I think. Or maybe 2023 is when everything is back to normal
@@teoxvi1432 nah won't be that long
Think it will be 2022 if we see this through which we will.
Agreed
2021 is a slightly better year
2:44 Yeah, that didn't age well either.
Can we add this year as a substantial year?
Im trying to forget the last 4 year lol
😂
Now on to the sequel movie
2020 PANDEMIC AND PROTESTS
i could have sworn the first case was earlier than 11th january
It was first death, Not first infection btw
Now in 2022 - 2 years on, the nurses, posties, bus drivers, rail workers, teachers, bin men, supermarket workers who were hailed as frontline and keyworkers by this country have been massively let down. now the government don't care the CEOs of the royal mail don't care! let's hope theres not another pandemic. cos I'll remember I worked through it and then left to fend for ourselves when we need help in desperate times.thanks for nothing
Can I just say well done to Sky news, the only news company who has accurately reported the pandemic, and done this amazing documentary.
Special indeed boris🤣🤣🤣
Imma party for the new year
I did too
I can't complain 🤷🏻♂️ I met someone special this year 😬

During my 20th existence. I can safely say, this is a year to forget. 2021, things will change (not)
2021 was an alright year to me
A year to forget? Isnt that just every other year...
2021 Is going to be WORSE. 2020 was just the taster.
the hell is a taster
I know Prince Philip died this year but it doesn’t stop the year from becoming worse
Yes
Thankfully societal collapse didn't happen in 2020 & no sane & rational person would have liked to have seen that but I am surprised there wasn't rioting in the streets because of the lockdowns, having our freedoms taken away & our human rights being run roughshod over & I have lived through rioting & civil unrest during times when there has been less social & systemic problems ! ! !
Ill never forget 2020,,Its the year I did NOT get sick
Mum had mild covid and recovered on Mew Years. I had a cold on 26th December to January 3rd so I must’ve caught it. At least my 1918 grief did a good thing
We need to be safe 💗💗
2020.. THE YEAR THAT WAS.
everybody please stay safe

17 October 2020: Lost my uncle to COVID
19 December 2021: Got COVID

This year has been okay except the death of Prince Philip
2021 is shaping up to be a year to forget as well 🙄🙄🙄
Boris: let’s make 2020 special

A year to remember and learn from

Just a shame Matt Hancock lied saying we were prepared, we wasnt prepared at all so now I'm wondering what exactly did they do in the "cobra" meeting

I want to forget about 2020

And learn from it...The mistakes of this year and the missed opportunities of our government...

With all the restrictions we have had all this time, I forgot just how severe that initial lockdown was, like 100% shutdown including playgrounds, even takeaway coffees!
And this year with the death of Prince Philip was horrible. I’ll never forget that day for many years to come
@@nicolelawless3199 why was the death of philip horrible? he died a natural death at a very old age

This was a year ago; 2 years on and I’ve never forgotten how horrible covid was. I have no words
It was so bad, that can be an offenssive word, like, stop being 2020 !
I have been seen this phrase on everywhere, but nobody thinks about what we have learned in these times, to be kind, solidary, with each other.
I'm so sorry if my english isn't good, i'm from Brazil.
I wrote a book this year, learned to cook like I'm Gordon Ramsey, and am the fittest I've ever been. Depends on your perspective. Every cloud and all.
Have u published the book?
I remember writing in my diary saying “Lockdown is just like being in hiding just like Anne Frank!”

D thanks
2020-2021 year of disaster and pain for the whole world. Hopefully this are not gonna happen again.
dont worry, not very likely unless there are labs in highly populated areas that carry out risky bio experiments.... most cities around the world have these, lab leaks are a step away.
2021 isn't any better. .......yet.
But it’s getting there. I do get upset sometimes but not much as 2020
I love 2021 so much

When Prince Philip died in April, 2021 literally worsened
2021 is just a sequel of 2020...
As if it had a movie yes.

ONE YEAR AGO, HOW?!

0:47 that didn't age well did it?
Done things to late and at what cost
We are in 2021 now and we are already exited lockdown thanks to boris Johnson taking us on the roadmap out of lockdown
2021 is almost over thank god
It’s already over we are in 2022 and lockdown is finally over
so what will happen if 2021 is bad or worse than 2020 ?
If I could. Coupled w/ the pandemic I was living in a French village at the time that was partly washed away by a once in a century flood (yes that with a once in a century pandemic, what's that, 10,000/1?)
I see on the horizon a new year
A new day and a new down.
I like your optimism but we most likely won't be past this fully until 2022.
