I thought I had gotten the wrong boxed and I was going to give them away until I clicked on this video and you mentioned that you thought you had gotten the wrong ones too. I use this service and love it. Usually ship time for me is about a week. Also, USPS has a feature where you can click on free items. I always go there first and scroll through everything to see what’s available. For labels, I have use the document pouches and those work great, with those though I do put an extra strip of tape along the top so my shipping label can’t be removed. Thanks Amber!! 💕
I’m new to poshmark and shipped my first sold items on Monday. They did say I may have to pay more for shipping. But the buyer ended up getting them on time with out any issue. I didn’t have to pay any more. I was freaking out at first thinking I used the wrong box. SHOULD HAVE WATCHED YOUR VIDEO FIRST. 😁 thanks for the video. I just order more boxes today!!!!! Yayy.

Basically the time it takes to ship depends on what boxes your post office has. If your post offoce has a box you ordered, the shipping time will be fast, but if your post office doesn't, then they have to get them shipped from other areas and they don't really give shipping free supplies a high priority so it usually takes a while. I live in a large city so most of the times I order things they come fast, but if my post officr doesn't have something I order, it can take weeks for me to get it
We order supplies about every 6 weeks and we have for several years (we sell quite a bit, mostly on eBay).
Delivery has varied widely for us. Shortest times are about a week, we've had orders take 5-6 weeks before. We try to keep a two month supply of all of the boxes and supplies that we need on hand, to be safe.

I was told by a lady today at USPS and said I can't ship flat rate and that poshmark can't make their own rules as to what they accept. She said, I'll accept it this time but there's no guarantee the next person will🤔
My USPS boxes/envelopes usually come within a week of ordering them. I also order the self-stick 4x6 labels to print my mailing labels on, and those take about 10 days.
newsystemgirl I'll have to look into the labels! I didnt know they had such a thing for free with their shipping supplies. Do they work with the prepaid postage we get with poshmark?

I usually just stop by my post office not far from my house and they have a self serve display and I just grab a stack of whatever I need and if there is something that's low or empty I just ask at counter sometimes they have them behind counter just ask. Works for me anyway. 😊
I used to ask for them at the post office but then I was coming so frequently that they told me I needed to order them on their website! So it's nice that your post office doesn't mind!

I order my priority packaging about once a month and it usually gets here very quickly, like 3 days if it's light envelopes. If I order a lot of boxes or a very heavy amount it does take up to like 2 weeks sometimes.

AmberMontana I've now learned to just order way ahead of time so I don't have midnight trips to multiple post offices just to get the next days shipping done! Haha

It's so great that you made this video alot of people don't know about the free boxes ! Why doesn't poshmark make it more obvious that we get free shipping boxes! I do have a question how do we get priority mail tape !? And is it free? I've seen people package with the priority mail tape and I wonder if I can order that too!

Its takes 2-3 days for shipping depends on distance and if you are in a super rural area.

I had a backpack to mail so I had some of the regional rate boxes and it fit perfectly I take it to post office they deny it...so i take it back home and covered it with brown mailing paper and printed a new label..then the usps said I misused their shipping box and said I could go to jail..so I ended up going to staples bought a box which was way too big but it worked replaced it all finally the usps took it...I was so mad several trips to the post office in even showed them we can use priority, flat rate, or regional...she said I dont care but u can only use the priority which has limited sizes...ugh

Thank you so much for this video i went to different post office then the one I usually go to and this guys sits there for 10 minutes telling me I cant use flat rate boxes and I didn’t know for sure if I can or I cannot I I told him this is the first time somebody told me that I always ship it in flat rate box he started telling who told and which post office finally he told me I’ll just let it go this time but next time you have to use the other box LOL I told Ok thank you

I just left the post office where I was told that I can't use the Medium Flat Rate box because my label only says Priority, not Flat Rate. I was told to use the box that just says "Mailing Box" not "Medium Flat Rate." I know she was incorrect. I hear there's a letter floating around that we can show them. Does anyone have a link to that letter?

I have never gotten the boxes that are dual sided. I love being able to order these supplies from USPS only thing is the shipping supplies. Takes sooooo long! Have to order when you arent out of them thats for sure.

you don't need to do anything to your packaging aside from slap your shipping label Posh provides to you. been using blank poly mailers or boxes for years now and never experienced any issues

Hi Amber! Yes, it takes about 2 weeks to get boxes when I order them. Flat rate envelopes come in a few days. Could you tell me if the flat rate padded envelopes are allowed on poshmark? Thank you for your videos, I’ve been enjoying them.

I just started a Poshmark closet to sell all my current used and unused plus size clothing and I know that if someone sbundles a few items it will probably go over 5 lbs. what would I do in that case? Debi Dice Hi Debi! If your box ends up weighing more than 5 pounds, you just go to "My Sales" and click on the sale that weighs over 5 pounds. Then select "Need new shipping label" and then "Need Heavier Weight Label". It will then ask you how much more weight you need and how much you will have to pay for the weight. Hope that helps! What about the date? My pst office won’t take if it’s the wrong date on label. I have to request a new label the day I’m shipping. Any idea how to fix that? Been selling for over a year on posh, can change dates on ebay but not posh. I love to print the night before and posh doesn’t have options to switch dates from what I see 🙄
I went to ship out my first order using flat rate and had the worker say “next time use priority mail shipping box but this time I will let you” so can I still just use flat rate or not?

So it doesn't matter which size box you use the shipping is still the same price unless the item weighs greater than 5 lbs?
Yes and you cannot use Express Mail boxes. This is specific to selling on Poshmark, just to be clear.

How u get the boxes for flat rate.
I pick up boxes when I’m at the post office, but mostly recycle ♻️ cardboard boxes from purchases. My basement is now a fire 🔥 hazard. 😡

Can I use a flat rate priority bubble mailer on Poshmark? This is all I use on eBay?
How much is shipping for the tyvek envelopes?
On Poshmark shipping is $7.11 no matter which priority packing you use. So if someone bought something from on Poshmark and you shipped in a 1095 priority box they would pay $7.11. If you shipped in a medium flat rate priority box, they'd pay $7.11. If you shipped in a Priority Tyvek envelope, they'd pay $7.11, etc.

USPS is the best! It's no secret that priority boxes are free! The fact that they don't charge you shipping for your order is RAD!! I will continue to support USPS!!!

A week is fast compared to how long it's been taking for mine! They packages I ordered in this video took two weeks to arrive.

AishaZC As I said in the video they tried to do that to me. It's so frustrating! Thankfully, now I go to the same place every time so ive shipped with most of the employees and havent had issues lately. At this link, in step 2, it says flat rate is allowed. poshmark.com/posh_guide/how_to_ship

It takes me usually 1-2 weeks, but my last order I ordered at 2am and they were at my house at 11am 😂. I’m assuming my local USPS must of just sent them to me?

I thought you have to pay medium flat rate price to use medium flat rate boxes.
You do normally, but not if you are shipping something you sold on the Poshmark app. Poshmark has a special agreement with USPS.
The post office charges you $15 flat rate for a medium box when you mail them. Poshmark only let's you collect $6.
When you use the Poshmark label, you can use a flat rate box and do not have to pay anything for shipping beyond what the buyer already paid.
can i use a medium flat rate box to send 3 things they r weight less than 3lbs ?,,if yes ,is any extra charge
As long as the total weight is under 5 pounds and you are selling on Poshmark, there will be no extra charge. If selling on Poshmark you can use the medium flat rate. However, I'd warn that sometimes the USPS employees try to deny the flat rate boxes because the don't know Poshmark has a special agreement with USPS.

Where do u get the sticker if you use your own box? Are they free if not do you know how much it cost?
Anna Although ive never ordered them, I think they are in the packaging supplies and are called "Priority Mail Shipping Labels". The description on the website is "Ship your package using your own packaging item along with Priority Mail shipping label." Sounds right!
Otherwise, all of the USPS locations have them. I use my own boxes sometimes and then at the post office they put on the priority stickers. Hope that helps!
Also, I'm pretty sure that they are also free. If you end up ordering them, you should comment back on what you find out. :)

I use my own boxes or poly bags and have never used a priority mail sticker. I’ve ordered usps boxes and the first time it took over 2 weeks and the next time it much quicker!! I agree- the format is horrible if you order off your phone!!

You could get the board game box; it is longer but unfortunately not wider..or if you have a bigger box laying around your house, you could use that and just put priority stickers on it.

Yes, you can also get them at the post office. At first, I was getting them at the post office, but the post office asked that I start ordering them online because I was picking up so many from them.

On Poshmark, the buyer pays a flat shipping fee of $6.50 no matter how many items they buy. Currently, shipping is only to the U.S. They will be expanding soon!

Yes but they have to be used for shipping through USPS. So although you don't pay to get the box, you will have to pay for shipping when you ship something in the box.
Hi Amber few days ago i dropped off a package at USPS that says Priority medium flat rate on the box and the lady said I can't use that for Poshmark. I have used it hundreds of times already at other post offices. I want to know what's allowed. thanks for your time.
Flat rate is allowed for Poshmark. Poshmark has a special agreement with the USPS to allow this but unfortunately a lot of USPS employees do not know this. This has happened to me before. Now I just go to a grocery store to ship out and ive never had a problem!
This happened to me too. I brought it to my local usps and got a long lecture and was told I cannot use flat rate box. I was inform to order the box without the word flat rate on it.
Those boxes arn't free.They actually charge you for them everytime you ship an item.Plain brown boxes would be a cheaper alternative.
Poshmark charges the seller $6.50 for shipping and you can get these boxes for free from USPS so you do not have to pay at all for the boxes.
