I just hunted down a bookshop in Tenerife to see if they had ACOMAF because I NEEEEEEDED it! The only one they had in the series so was very happy - although I am tempted to go back for Throne of Glass 😂 ❤
I bought that paperback version of "Howl's Moving Castle," because I figured I've seen the Ghibli movie and I need to read the book, finally. Those are definitely some gorgeous books! My last haul was "Immortal Dark" by Tigest Girma (the beautiful edition of the first release, with the edges, hardback art, foiling, and endpaper art), "A Dark and Drowning Tide" (the paperback, I love the art for it), "The Undermining of Twyla and Frank" by Megan Bannen, "The Hedgewitch of Foxhall" by Anna Bright, "Celestial Monsters" by Aiden Thomas, and "Merciless Saviors" by H.E. Edgmon. ...I have an impulse-control issue in bookstores that I'm working on ^^"
Listen, I am not anyone to preach about impulse control when it comes to book buying 😂😂 and I love this list!! I really want to read immortal dark soon, hopefully in November! And I love the artwork for A dark and Drowning Tide - really happy they incorporated that a little in the SE. I really need to watch the Howls Moving Castle movie! That’s actually what prompted me to read the book! I really loved the book but I’ve heard the movie is quite different but has the same “spirit” so be good to compare when I finally get around to it 😂
@@Booksandmoe The movie is cute, but it's honestly one of my least favorite Ghibli movies (not saying much, because it's still good!), because it feels like the plot is missing a lot of information. The characters are good, it's just the story for me. So I'm hoping the book will fill in a few of the blanks!
Ooh that’s good to know! And yes maybe that’s what’s so different, it will be interesting to watch it having read the book. I’m completely new to Ghibli movies, what’s the best in your opinion?
@@Booksandmoe My personal top three Ghibli films are "Whisper of the Heart" (a slice-of-life that's not by Miyazaki, but is still really good), "Princess Mononoke," and "Kiki's Delivery Service." If I did top 5, I'd include "Castle in the Sky" and "Spirited Away." I'm more partial to the Miyazaki films mostly, than the other animators with the company, but really it's hard to go wrong with a Ghibli movie.

Oh I’m so glad you got it! It’s honestly the most stunning edition! And as an enabler I say you NEED Throne of Glass as well 😉😂💕
If I got back to the U.K. and regretted it, it wouldn’t be worth the pain and suffering 😅😂
