I've found myself getting a bit complacent in my room and therefore letting it go and getting messy. I needed to switch up the aestetic a bit to reinspire me, kind of like when your a kid and you can't go buy new furniture- so you just rearrange your room and are excited all over again. I learned a bit about styling, got a few new things that my room needed, and most importantly decluttered the decor pieces that weren't serving a purpose. This little minimal room transformation makes it feel like a whole new room for me!

I wouldn’t add the coat rack; it will undo your choice to declutter/downsize items. Maybe a tall plant?
Sometimes you wait to buy something and decide you don’t need it anymore! Great way to save money and be more conscious of how many things you buy.

When you get the coat rack I try would swapping the leaning mirror you have to the opposite side of your bed bc then it'll catch the sunlight and help make your seattle room brighter! LOVE the rug tho:)

The lightbulb thing happened to me too!! I got a desk lamp from IKEA and when I had just moved to to the other side of the country for uni only then did a realise there was no actual lightbulb with the lamp 😅

I think the designers of the lamp, were concerned that people would try and use a 25, 40 watt incandescent bulb, which would melt the lamp material. Using the LED equivalent (20 watt), would generate less heat, with the equivalent light.
I love this makeover! I love your future ideas! I do think a desk with a drawer would be more functional than one without.

The mattress is the important part.i wonder why she has a kingsize bed for the future? Or is that under:my dumbest order i made?we talking about free space and usefull things inside the room.i would sleep in the bottom with a camping Air mattress with a normal bedsize 😏 i seen Shelby has the same huge bed in her L A house but better have as not have when you need 😊

your room looks so much better. Love the idea of the coat rack and the bench, but the bench you have in mind is too bulky for your room. get something like a white wooden narrow bench where you could put a nice textured blanket on top for a cozier effect?

Ahh it looks adorable already! One thing how ever , the coat rack it self looks good but , you wait and see once you put stuff on it , it’s going to be a mess ! Believe me ! You will not enjoy it ! Happy you brought the rig in to the room , looks amazing !

The curved CB2 looks cool but might not be good if you’re like writing on paper bc the surface isn’t flat and no storage for stuff like USBs or wires

Hey. I feel like little bit of color that matches with rug will look so good. Maybe some colorful flower vases with unique texture and shapes, pretty candles on the top in order to break that plain black and add contrast and character. I think green throw blanket will look so good and goes well with the color of rug. :)

I don’t see why it matters what’s inside your duvet cover. Adding a cover sounds like a great way to extend the life of a comforter you don’t like the design of anymore.
