SLS 60g
Caustic soda 20g
STPP 60g
Soda ash 100g
Natrosol 90g
Sulphonic acid 500ml/450g
Texapon 140g
Colour as desired
Fragrance 10ml
This is step by step recipe on how i produced 12 litres of liquid detergent and i make 70% profit from it.
This recipe can be used for dish washing, hand wash and multipurpose liquid soap.
For hand wash, I add 1% of glycerin for every 1 liter using this recipe.
The 70% I make is due to my purchasing of ingredients in bulk.
If you are buying your ingredients at retail price from an expensive vendor, you will make 58% profit.
I sell 5 litres for #2500 to #3,000 and 1 litre for #700

1700 per dozen
I don't get more than 41 liquid soap
I spent 6500 excluding the tf fare
God am so sad
Am selling it 150#buh people are not buying it bcus my environment is kinda of local
I reduce the price to 100
But is a big short from the business

SLS/ sodium laureth Sulfate - foaming agent.
Caustic soda/sodium hydroxide - stain removal.
STPP/sodium tripolyphosphate - cleansing agent.
Soda ash - a cleansing and water softening ingredients.
Natrosol/Hec/hydroxyethylcellulose - a thickener.
Sulphonic acid/labsa/ - a foaming agent and grease cutter.
Texapon/SLES/sodium laureth ether sulfate - an anionic surfactant that contributes to the foaming ability.
Colour - to make it colourful
Fragrance - to give it a nice smell

You only use preservative when the liquid soap will stay up to 3 month and more with your customers.
You can use sodium benzoate or methyl paraben

You can add more but don't come back and say it's watery.
Adding more water will result in more quantity and loose viscosity.

pH is to know whether your product is acidic or alkaline.
And preservatives works in hand with pH of a product.

Please what's the difference between a transparent soap and a multipurpose soap
Transpent can be use for hand wash or dish wash while multipurpose can be used for everything washing and cleaning.
What can you add on the soap, to protect your hand from burning.

This doesn't burn the hand or skin because the pH is mild compare to the regular multipurpose soap.
But you can still add glycerin for moisturizing effect or you make hand wash specifically for washing hands.

Please is it true that when you add soda ash to liquid detergent, the colour changes?
Yes, but as you can see mine did not change, though I used about 1% in my production and the soap is transparent unlike non transpent detergent.
Maybe when you add too much soda ash the liquid detergent colour will change.

If you want to use it for bathing, remove SLS which dries the skin after a long use and add glycerin and other ingredients to boost the effectiveness on the skin.

I got 12 litres of soap and my 1% is 120ml.

A soap is generally a cleansing product.
A multipurpose soap is a soap that can be used for dishes, laundry and cleaning the flour etc.

Pls all in all, was it 5Liters of water you used for this Formulation? Bcos in the begining of the video you mentioned 5L of water. Later in the video, you mentioned 12Liters. So this is confusing
You don't need to be confused dear.
I used in total 12 litres of water.
5 litres for SLS, STPP, Soda ash and Caustic soda.
6 litres for natrosol.
1 litre for my colour.

Checking pH of a product is knowing how acidic or basic that product is and it is measured on a scale of 0 to 14.
Thank you. I prepared liquid soap using nitrosol but what I noticed was after washing my hands with it, it was still slimy. What might be the cause?
Too much natrosol makes the soap slimy (draw)
You may watch out the quantity of natrosol next time.

No dear, even though it is mild in pH scale I still not recommend it for washing the face and body.
I recommend you use body wash or face wash to wash your body and face.
