Lian li evo with all the fans and an AIO. Also rtx 4080 Because those gpu are huge and I’d like to see if size matters. Instead of 3x 120mm fans on the side, use 3x 140mm fans. Not designed for 3x 140mm but I made it work with zip ties. Also test with mesh foam.
You have the best temperature test in the entire internet! I am planning to place a Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma mat underneath the Lian Li case. I was worried that the Lianli bottom fan intake will be too hot for the mat. The recommended temperature usage of the mat is 30c - 40c degrees. After watching this video knowing it stays below 30c degrees makes me very happy that I don't have to rearrange my mat. Worst-case scenario, I'd buy a wider table immediately for my new PC arrival! You just save me a few hundred bucks and some headache! Thank You!!! I hope someone who has the same thoughts can find this comment and link to watch this video!
Наконец-то круто тест, спасибо , самый полезный обзор, особенно для тех, кто не знает в какую сторону поставить вентилятор. Собственно вы сделали гайд , для всех корпусов с подобным расположением вентиляторов, спасибо!!!
This was such an informative video, content wise and visually too! Helped me a lot. Am currently changing my pc setup to a Lian Li 011 Dynamic mini, totally air cooled - 3x 120s at the bottom, 2x 120s and 1x 140 on the top, 2x 140s on the side and 1x 120 for the back, cpu cooler is a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4. From what I've learnt from this video, I shouldn't have a problem with the temps. Thank you so much!
im also air cooling in an o11 dynamic mini 2 120 side intake, 3 120 bottom intake, 1 120 back exhaust, im thinking of putting only one fan at the top as exhaust all the way in the back instead of three, ive always had a theory specifically for air cooling that the top middle fan would exhaust the air before it gets to the cpu cooler and the top fan all the way in front would exhaust the air the side intake fan just brought in, this vid shows it
@@polaroidd1306 Thanks for the info. Interesting thoughts 👍 But at around 11:40 of the video, the configuration he used was 3 on top, 3 at the bottom, 2 on the side and 1 at the rear, and he said that it was good airflow. So I more or less set up my pc that same way. So far, thermals have been great. It cools well.
@@BravoSix09 you know that aio at the top just pulls hot air thru right? so cpu temps are gonna be higher, there are plenty of vids about this topic and since hot air moves upwards it would make zero sense to put the bottom fans to output
Thanks for the video. Great format, explanation, and demonstration. I'm putting this case together in the next day or so and am glad I already picked up the full suite of fans. Cheers.
question, i have the mini and i have the fans as the top 3 and bottom 3 as intake ( pulling in air ) and the top left, and the two on sides on the rad as exhaust ( pushing out air ) is that adviseable? or should i switch it around
I'm using the same right now. A friend told me to do this after invidia RTX GPU changed their GPU exhaust direction(it blows hot air upwards straight to your CPU). So my friend adviced me to make the 3 top fans as intake so it would blow the hot air from the GPU sideways going right into the exhausts on the side panel and back exhaust fan.
In test 3 can I Mount my radiator to the top of the case and still install the fan the same way round as use did in test 3 or will the fans go a different way around on the radiator
Using a ROG Ryujin II 240 AIO with this case with x3 intake bottom, x2 intake side on rad, 1 exhaust rear, 3 exhaust top in total of 9 SL 120 fans getting 70c max on stress test on my 5600x. Should I be worried?
if you're stress testing at 100% and getting 70c then that's in the "good" range. AMD have said that the 5000 series will run hotter and they see temps up to 95c as "typical and by design".
A quick question; if i use 3 fans at front(intake) and 3 at bottom (exhaust) and 1 at back(exhaust) is this a good idea or i shoud use 3 fans at bottom as intake?
Thanks for this ! After some study, same ideas for a new build with this case. For the rear-exhaust, is this really recommended ? For my build i was thinking of 3x SL120 (bottom intake), 3x SL120 (top exhaust) and 2x SL120 (side exhaust on top of a NZXT X63 kraken 240 AIO).
@@xcadas Seems that some GPU's will thermal throttle around 83 celcius so it's very close to that. Most people seem to get around 75 celcius under load for most CPUs, 80 and 88 are pretty high to most builds I've seen.
For us americans. We still use Celsius for pc temp readings. Otherwise everyone would constantly think their pcs would be to hot. As i have heard once before. Celcius is for how water feels. Fahrenheit is for how people feel. And kelvin is for how atoms feel. 😂😂
yes, my friend pc, except bottom intake. two exhaust at the back, one under gpu and one above gpu. 3 front intake and aio at the top with 3 inake as well gpu temp was same when aio fan set as exhaust but with intake cpu temp improved 3080 at 60 deg c and r7 5900x at 60 too, corsair crystsal and h100 aio during 3d rendering one more thing, room temp is 35 deg c, dry hot summers

You are a pioneer for doing this testing. This is what I really want to see.
Same here 😊
By miles the best video on this subject for the Lian Li 011.. The smoke test really hammers the point home. Time to order some new case fans!

Can you do this for the new O11 AIR Mini?
Aio side intake, 3 bottom intake, 3 top exhaust, 1 rear exhaust, vertical gpu . This setup is right for this case i believe
Aio at top and the intake should be at side , exhaust at bottom because intake at bottom won't suck air as much as intake at the side

i wonder why the gpu temp doenst drop betwwen having no fans at the bottom and having 3 fans, that push colder air into the gpu fans straight.
This helps out a lot. I’m gonna switch my fans to the last configuration
Front top fan is redundant when all fans are installed.
Yeah
NOW! this is a temp and airflow test....daymn!!!
Subd to your channel.
Thank you for the video.
Is there a test on the internet with an AIO and a radiator install.
I want to see side vs top mount temperatures.
would love to see this test on the o11 AIR mini, tons of options for fan configs on this one with an actual front panel intake
What screen is that under the gpu at 8:45?
In test 3 can I Mount my radiator to the top of the case and still install the fan the same way round as use did in test 3 or will the fans go a different way around on the radiator
I'm planning to place 8 intake fan and 1 exhaust at the back would it be good?
Are the temps ppl show in tests hotspots?
Be nice to see this with an aio cooler as well
please test "zebronics zeb odin case" ..
