@12:34 when Kev has the famous Banksy (the grabber in the shelter) in shot... doesn't mention it :) Gorleston is my hometown, has a lot going for it. Just to add to some of your dialogue the Ocean Bay arcade and pier hotel were in the film "yesterday" Where the bandstand is now used to be a huge outdoor pool - gorleston Lido was closed in the 80's though, not sure it was much of an improvement. Glad you made your way to Gorleston though, best bit is the free parking along the cliffs.
When I go to great yarmouth we often pay a visit to Gorleston on sea such a lovely quiet place to visit the boating pond is usually quite busy in the summer and the best ice cream in norfolk
I used to go to Gorleston (& Grt.Yarmouth) every year when I was married, and when my three children were quite young... We loved both towns, and thoroughly enjoyed our times there. (We stayed at Holiday Parks just outside GY) and we drove around Norfolk, visiting a variety of fascinating places, including taking a boat trip on the Broards... Gorleston became one of our firm favourites. Sadly, it's been about 24 years since we were last able to go there, and so I enjoyed watching your video and being reminded of our happier holidays there. Thank you. I wish we could go back but unfortunately it'd be highly unlikely to happen. If you ever return to Gorleston in the warmer, Summer months, I'd love to see the place again, "chock-a-block" with families enjoying those vast sandy beaches !! 😊🧡🧡💙💙❤️😊🖖
You started the wrong end really but parking is difficult by the seafront and the amenities as it fills up very quickly although you can park all along the road up to the car park at the top. Free parking too which is a big draw after the expensive parking in Great Yarmouth. It really is a beautiful beach though.
Used to be nicer, a lot of litter there from the London crew coming down for the day. Like many piers its been shortened due to a fire at the far end but its fun to take the train one way or both ways!
The dock they put in Yarmouth a fair few years ago, really improved Gorleston Beach, as a kid, i remember the sand being quite stony for the most part, but there were a few shops with a couple of arcades that we used to like. For me, it kind of makes me sad, because while Gorleston beach benefited from the dock they put in Yarmouth, it destroyed Lowestofts beach, which used to win the blue flag for beaches almost every year... now most of the beach is just under water, with massive rocks put in it to help with flooding, unless you go up further nearer Pakefield area.
Great video thanks. I have a house 5 min walk from the beach which is lovely but it's boring! No rockpools or seashells and I get lots of sewerage warnings for the sea too!
Same thing is happening at Cooden beach seafront in East Sussex, People are buying up the thirties bungalows and houses, for the plots and to build Massive million pound plus places
Great vid as ever, Kev - lovely beach but it'll never beat our local beach in Southbourne, near Bournemouth... and I'm originally from Nottingham, so not a southerner!
It's a bit odd seeing a RUclips video about somewhere you live by :D Also you missed a trick by not going to JJ's, it's a nice little cafe and the food is great.
I live in Gorleston. You missed alot you need a guide . Good luck trying to get on millionaire Row. The ravine is for emergency vehicles only . That rough bit of sea near the danger keep off is only about 4 feet deep on a calm day you can walk round there. From where you started if you go the other way the beach goes to Lowestoft. BTW Gorleston is not very nice nobody should ever come here. ;0)
I used to live in one of those million pound? houses behind you ,,,,, But that was back in the 1970s/80s,,,,,if remember my Father paid,,, £12,000 for it ,,,,back then Gt yarmouth & Gorleston were buzzin We had the oil industry birdseye foods / Norfolk Line,,,,,a pub on every corner and packed beaches? But,,, little by little the people who run these towns have spent money on By passes and bridges and an outer harbour which closed the day it finished ? And were left with Deserted Beaches ? Permit Parking ? And that many shops Boarded up ,,,,,the window cleaners need a sander? Its heart braking DW
I couldn’t past the 6 minutes mark on this video. This beach is so depressing, it might be the 12th best but Rimini>all. I want to be entertained by the seaside! Give me arcades! Ferris wheel! loud music!
A good video, ruined only by the fact you didn't do any research beforehand and just guessed at what everything was. Apparently it only has two arcades. How many do you need? A gazebo ffs

The Pier Hotel was used in the film Yesterday which had Ed Sheeran in it.

Is Great Yarmouth the WORST seaside town in the UK? 👉 ruclips.net/video/69CRyerYKLc/видео.htmlsi=2BMNbIqlVhsd5epN

It probably is predominantly pedestrians only, but access for emergency vehicles and maybe for deliveries to Jay Jay’s?
Great video thanks. I have a house 5 min walk from the beach which is lovely but it's boring! No rockpools or seashells and I get lots of sewerage warnings for the sea too!
you must do a trip to Barmouth Wales, it's absolutely stunning.
Thanks for sharing, what a lovely beach / area. Amusements aren't my thing so this is ideal. 😊
Love it there, we've got a caravan at cherry tree Near there.
The pond is probably for sailing miniature boats etc
Your video are great we was in seashore love it and I love your football manager videos a also
Same thing is happening at Cooden beach seafront in East Sussex, People are buying up the thirties bungalows and houses, for the plots and to build Massive million pound plus places
You need to go Dymchurch in Kent the beach there is amazing and have amusements and shops and rides
I went there about 15 years ago, was really nice. Will head back at some point.
It’s a boating pond. There used to be a proper swimming pool on that spot back in the 60’s
I have family there.. spent many a holiday down there..😊
You should try New Brighton reckon you'd like it there
Great vid as ever, Kev - lovely beach but it'll never beat our local beach in Southbourne, near Bournemouth... and I'm originally from Nottingham, so not a southerner!
Those houses must have a lot of chairs 🪑
It's a bit odd seeing a RUclips video about somewhere you live by :D Also you missed a trick by not going to JJ's, it's a nice little cafe and the food is great.
The beach the film yesterday was filmed on. U may recognise the pier hotel from it!
Try Goring just along coast from Worthing it's similar to Gorleston.
It’s beautiful but the newer houses are a bit over the top. Great beach lovely hotel.
You have to go to the bowls shed to ask about playing tennis
My memories of many years ago (70/80's) was that it was all stones, no sand at all!!
Kevin try Walton on the naze beach I think better then where you are
11:08 its for model boats
I would imagine that the road under the bridge is for emergency services only
Go to weston and see how long it takes you to get from the pier to the sea 😂😂
12th best beach
Been in Gorleston n many other places
No chance to b in for top 500

No. Pretty simple answer for me but just commenting for the Algo
Shame the water is as about as brown as you can get

Thought you'd learned to rage bait in the titles and jot be complimentary?
Gorleston beach is ok but gorleston as a place is an absolute s***hole
