C4 Corvette, interesting choice. The C4 does display the engine the best of any corvette with the clam shell hood.
As the owner of a 1990 ZR-1, I can appreciate the tight quarters under that clamshell. Beautiful, inside and out, amazing, you guys take it to the top level. 👍👍🏁🏁

More than likely it’s a 383 stroker, that’s what I have and it’s over 500hp
@@chancelessard3285 what else do you have on top of your 383? I have an 84 and it came with the CFI so I want to swap it out for something and get at least 400hp on it. Don’t really know much about what goes into an engine but I’d like to build this corvette faster. I do have my friend who’s a mechanic same as his dad that sold me the corvette so I’ll probably ask him too!

This is Epic I have triple black convertible 1988c4 owned for 31 yrs has low miles emissions deleted headers full exhaust bigger twin throttle body 58 instead stock 52. I'm debating what gears to put in rear 3.42 or 3.73 automatic 700r4 any ideas? Much appreciated 🙏

Did you do anything about that red hot manifold almost touching the brake lines at the master cylinder? I imagine it won't end well left like that.
Had a red C4 a few years ago.. it was an ‘87 car with the L98 engine. Nice, but definitely not the quickest..even with the stainless Borla I got bored, sold it and bought a TVR

There is *✦NO WAY✦* that vette will hook in ANY gear at ANY speed🙂 the 1700 hp is just for conversation to see who has the biggest balls!
Been experimenting with trying fans from twin engine yacht engine compartments that exhaust fumes to pull heat from Corvette engine compartment and duct it out thru fender wells or behind front tires. Could possibly exit thru vents cut in the hood since heat rises neway. Got 671 BBC blown Pro Street 64 Corvette but don't run hood on it so that helps it cool. If you cant get the heat out it don't matter how much radiator and fans you have. Heat acts like a barrier to air tryin to come thru the radiator.
Put a dana 44 in it and you will never break it. i had a C4 in 1999 with a 100mil turbo (turbonetics) and a 406 Car made 1100whp and ran 8.4@180 with a dana 44 and 1992 aluminum half shafts.

Thats a clean build. The motor looks like it belongs and I know GM didnt leave a bunch of extra room for turbo stuff. Very wicked car considering most dont suspect them of being very peppy.
A terrific build. A couple of things I still don't understand though. Why the rollcage's tube is lower than the driver's head?) The exhaust system is asking for an H-pipe where they come together, but there's none. And no cats - is it street legal? But still - a fantastic piece of work...

Depends on the engine and how much money you have to play. In theory, the sky is the limit as you can swap the motor and transmission.

Good question. I've been told that's the weak point for building big power on the C4's.

At 1.10, it says C3 Corvette... Nope, it's a C4 Corvette... BUT what an engine! Holy cow! I love to know how much that engine bay is worth!
Oh hell no! As soon as you spy that upper roll cage bar you better start thinking twice about what it's capable of. I have seen some interesting C4's before. Like a guy that was running an all aluminum race prepared big block in a 91 roadster with a six speed . Slicks on the back skinny up front and through mufflers. It pulled the front wheels up about eye level if you raced him.
The turbo is right by the front tires with no heat wrap or shield, glowing red pipes right by each tire is alittle dangerous imo. Other than that good build

Are safety belt optional in that state? I was expecting 4 point harness for that much horsepower.

Amazing build, super clean. One thing I love is now the battery is accessible getting to the battery in a stock C4 is a pain XD

The rear tires act like a fuse lol, 1600hp but it can only put down 400 with those tires.
