@@ashley_bl2 found him at the beginning of smash ultimate and the first video I watched was his best of 2018 Can't believe it's already been nearly 4 years

I love how you were put in a position where you had 33% chance to get the star 3 times, and got it in only one of those. The math checked out perfectly
I can't believe Jacob fully scripted over 10 games that ended in losses just for the beautiful Cursed Die parallels in the final game, absolutely insane storytelling The Celeste music during the last game made me really happy
how do you keep getting these outlandish scenarios to happen EVERYTIME you play videogames???? It's like the universe itself molds it's very fabric just to mess up with odds and guarantee that Jacob Alpharad™ gets a twist worthy enough of its own video to happen
I had 2 games in a row of Bowser's Big Blast where it ended with my brother and I being the last survivors, and in both games we went 9 times each (18 presses) before one of us found the bomb. And we did this without ever changing colour. I chose yellow every time, and he chose green every time. So the bomb was in purple every time. You think that's unlikely? After that I had a game with my mother, and 2 CPUs. We went 24 turns before ANYONE was eliminated. All 4 players got to press a switch 6 times before the first player exploded.
One time on Horror Land, DK used a triple dice then went across of the map via the eye, collected the star at the top of the map, opened the gate with his key, then got King Boo to steal all our coins. It was the sweatiest thing I've ever seen a CPU do. And he was on Normal. Edit: spelling error
dude your storytelling skills are incredible. the tension on that last bit was incredible, and your narration mixed with extensive vocab made it even better. so fucking good.
Watching Alpharad yell "WHAT THE FUCK, GUYS! YOU JUST LET IT HAPPEN!" at the NPC allies while watching Luigi just stand there and not move is so funny.
Daisy was actually kinda crazy. Jacob spent the first section of the game basically bullying her and fighting Birdo instead only for her to become his arch enemy and biggest threat. Everything about that last game was poetry.
I accidentally skipped to the end instantly so it went "I've been playing Mario Party recent...Oh my God. And just like that, against all odds, Luigi won by doing absolutely nothing." I don't think I need to watch the rest of the rest of the video.
To be fair Luigi didn't do absolutely nothing since a lot of strategy went into the board play. Alpharad bought and used a lot of items very strategically, and he also carefully chose who Boo should steal from. So It's more of a "Luigi won by losing every minigame" challenge, but it's still very impressive nonetheless. I think it would have been impossible to win by doing truly nothing.
I'm gonna be honest... seeing the graph reveal that a lot of people WERE subscribed, now made me feel like I was missing out. So I'm subbing now. Pardon me.
I was going crazy trying to find the song that plays at 8:55, because I was sure I had heard it before, but finally I found it: it's The Fallen Land (Night) from Xenoblade DE.
i literally can't believe that Alpharad once again makes a perfectly suspenseful video. literally putting a twist at the VERY end of his successful run, staring in the eyes of the same fate he's seen all too much. overcomes that fate that wasted him hours of time before. making the release of tension not similar to other stories by cracking a joke. he literally made an unexpected story, by DOING NOTHING. god i WISH i could write plot like him. good storytelling, great video, i should watch your videos more despite being subscribed for years. (this is not propaganda)
I got way more emotionally invested than I thought I would. There was a narrative. Heroes, villains, a powerful journey, and a climactic finish. Well done ;)
Jacob’s script writing is so good how he can turn a boring mario party challenge into a thrilling and heart racing 22 minute endeavor is beyond other creators capacities
I am so confident in playing Splatoon 3 with no spoilers that while he was talking about his twitch, as soon as I saw yellow ink on screen I immediately covered my screen with my hand.
Jacob is *insane* at crafting narratives. Like, that final moment straight up felt like a movie moment. The protag is forced in the eleventh hour to succeed where they previously failed??? BEAUTIFUL!

Some random kid in 1999: "Wow, this Mario Party game is so much fun! Me and my friends can play as Mario, Wario, Yoshi, and Luigi and walk around on a birthday cake collecting stars and playing fun little minigames. It is so cool." Alpharad in 2022 (17:22): "As Birdo made a devastating swap. Luckily, my cursed die prevented Daisy from benefiting from Birdo's destruction as I then used my second swap block, avoided Bowser entirely, purchased a custom die, and then collected absolutely nothing from a supposed lucky tile." (what has mario party become?)
14:30 i've never been good at mario party, when i was maybe 7 i played the one on a train with my older sister and her friends and i was getting just absolutely bodied. So much so that every time i encountered bowser he gave me pity coins. And I mean every time. Always thought "oh what a homie he gets it". not sure which MP it was but def a GC/early Wii one.
It's heartwarming if a little unsurprising that the majority of Alpharad's viewers are actually subscribed

Crazy how the situation for the first star and the last star were so identical, that's some storytelling right there

Out of nothing at all, even.

the irony of Alpha yelling at Waluigi for doing nothing at 8:20 is not lost on me
The fact that Alpharad was able to create a great video off of the premise of doing nothing is a testament to his abilities as a content creator

Nah, it’s just basic math. If you attempt a rng-based challenge enough times, it will eventually work out in your favor.
@@eroraf8637 You didn’t understand the point. They were talking about the last round being the first round again.

Your script writing and story telling are beyond all that I could ever do. It makes me feel so involved in the story wanting to know how it ends.
For the first 12 attempts luigi was trying his absolute best, then for the 13th attempt he just simply did nothing which is why he won
Yeah, he accidentally ended up doing one thing during each of the other 12 attempts. Screwed over his chances a ton of times.
He tried to do nothing then ultimately did nothing.
Bruh I can barely win Mario party games doing something
What are you doing here Nick
Wdym Nick is peak Mario Party content
To be fair Alpha only had to deal with CPUs.
You have to deal with Sophist. That is immeasurably more detrimental.
I love it when Alpha references Summoning Salt when he's about to do something either really dumb or borderline impossible

DK going sweaty on normal. now if that CPU was on the hardest....
The Luigi doing nothing videos are like relics to me at this point. i feel spiritually connected.

Love the cursed dice foreshadowing. It was masterfully done, I was invested even though I knew what was going to happen.
Truly poetic that throughout all of these runs, Jacob *called attention, only twice, to his desperate calls on weighted dice*.
this is a banger comment. queen of everything is a banger song
That parallel between the first and last run was insane.
