Why I Will (Likely) Never Sell My BMW 1M

The BMW 1M was a skunkworks project by a group of engineers at the M Division of BMW who wanted to build a small and nimble car that harkened back to the golden age of light and great handling sports cars like the E46 M3. They accomplished that in spades with the legendary BMW 1M. Produced for only 1 year, the BMW 1M only saw 740 copies make it to the USA which makes it a fairly "rare" car in terms of production numbers. I personally have only ever seen 1 other 1M on the road. The BMW 1M is the epitome of the perfect drivers car...the car for enthusiasts without unnecessary technology and extra gadgets and gizmos that take away from the pure driving experience. On top of that, the BMW 1M is a pleasure to drive and has in my opinion, the perfect clutch and shifter. Its a normal car you can throw around on a spirited driver and also run errands in or drop the kids at school. Its almost the perfect sports car and for all of these reasons, I will likely never part with this iconic sports car.
