I can sooo relate to this! My dad to this day looks forward to the pass book update ritual. Post retirement, it was an activity that kept him busy and gave him another reason to go out and meet people. Whether time is wasted or not is relative based on what other tasks one has at their hand or how else they would utilize that time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Come to think of it, my ritual will be meetup with counselor or friends offline although we can always do it online
Yeah rituals need not be religious, and need not make sense too, even
