Made me laugh when you said the Bill was a doctors note 📝! 😅.......Any chance of a pt.2? trying something different from the menu? That would be great! @grahambell9831 will be a while- we keep trying to get to different places and avoid the same ones. (That never happens with some though, depends on their proximity to home as to how often we visit)
@britslivinginspain hi Andy & Helen, that's completely understandable......the variety of restaurants you do is incredible......all in good time and when you feel the time is right for a pt.2 👍a bit like a Rocky trilogy! 😀 Another restaurant in Quesada is Voraz. Very swanky and very good! Also in Benjiofar for authentic tapas is La Sacristia ( it was formerly bar lucas) opened up in May I think, was there the 1st wk in June on a Friday evening with live jazz music, a fab night and returned again in September for more lovely tapas food, the wine selection is varied, very tasty and just a lovely feel about the place. The Spanish owners are very friendly hosts 🙂👍👍 Have a great weekend, Salut! 🍻
Looked great. I would have gone for the Osso buco and the cannoli for dessert. I only tried panna cotta once and hated it but maybe it was just not a good one. Did the cannoli have a nice crunchy shell? That is how I rate them, if they are soggy that takes away from it. Each bakery/ pastry shop here in the NY area seems to make filling slightly different but I have a few favorites. Growing up in Brooklyn/ Queens area of NY we had great Italian pastry shops and German bakeries. Sadly, many have closed but there are still some around. Memories…
@britslivinginspain 100% worth the wait. Lydia front of house, her twin sister is the chef. Mr. Grumpy, takes a bit of a back seat nowadays: he just writes the cash filled doctors notes! 2019 when we were there They very kindly gave me a 500ml jar of the olive oil, garlic dip for a few euros.... @britslivinginspain could have a try Helen on Happy Friday in the kitchen.......I always notice that the next day, having eaten the delicious pot of goodness, my breath somehow has a lack of good stinky garlic? I don't know because it is always freshly made, and apparently, the flat leaf parsley keeps the honk! A bit under control, too! Strange but true! 😁.......cheers! From a cold morpeth ! 🥶
