If I remember correctly the owner of Mercadona has a family member with food alergies. This is the motive why they have a lot of gluten free or lactose free/vegan products on shelf.

But very little in Mercadona now ( the cheddar, yes). Prices have increased so much in last couple of years. Ok, they pay their staff well, but now prefer Economy, Consum or Lidl.

I wish English supermarkets were like this, I’m a cook and I just love that they sell this variety of stuff like chicken carcasses and rabbits and quail and Partridge and pigs ears everything. There are so many amazing recipes that you can make with what they sell there. And you’re absolutely right that meat does look so fresh and lovely. If you're resident in Spain and want to sell in order to buy somewhere else, I presume there's no capital gains tax?....I'm assuming capital gains tax is only applicable when your Spanish property is your 2nd home?....

For buyers who do not live in Spain but buy as a holiday home and not a primary residence and can only use the property for 90 days at a time (Schengen rules) and it will sit empty for months at a time. Is it safe leave it empty for months at a time? Are there companies that will look after your property for you while you’re not there? Thank you.

We shop at Mercadona, by far the best for fruit and veg. Tried other supermercados, markets, stores.. the produce doesn’t last as long as those from mercadona. Very informative video.

Remember the mercadona and the quality of the food compared to uk and wipes the floor with every uk supermarket. Loved it.

I love the meatball soups in Spain, we go to a place in Alicante that does them on the menu of the day as a starter and its amazing! Great video keep it up!

The brisket looks to have a nice age to it and off the bone (bought as a carcass) as opposed to the butcher buying it in a bag, which is the norm nowadays. It takes longer to cook than the belly pork, if you have a go again put it in first for a few hours before the pork then when you put the pork in wrap the brisket in foil, it will be more juicy when it's finally done. The way you did the potatoes looked great, we'll have to try that.

all meat full of colours and presevatives ! ham isnt pink its white and is coloured with chemicals to make it pink! need to research the junk in processed food its a health hazard but people are clueless in the main.
