Don’t you have to have a permit to do that? Does your city needs to inspect the deck structure once you are done? Maybe it’s different here in the US, just like when we had someone build our patio cover after it was built the city came and inspected and approved it. Maybe building code is different in Canada.
True. In California, a city building inspector had to come to our house to check the site and when the aluminum awning construction was done. The contractor had to get a city permit first. In US, insurance companies will deny coverage if something was improperly attached to the house and something happened to it or if it broke or caught in fire, and there was no permit.
