August 1999 - June 2004. Guild left for other MMOs. I then continued playing Planetside with some of the guild until WoW took the player-base in March 2005 (EU) and completely killed it. Played WoW through Classic, then on-off ever since WoTLK. With all this, I've never regretted spending so much time playing MMOs. The one time I really wish to go back to is my time in 1999 & 2000 on UO though. When the guild we wanted to join required us to have 90 wep skill and 80 tactics minimum, and you had to be on the look out for PKs (and later on getting to know the PKs and they'd leave you alone when they rampaged! :D). I've resubscribed to UO so many times, but it just isn't the same. Miss it.
As a Red flagged PK in this game, I did “rampage” as you call it. And kill everyone, robbed their resources. And if I was lucky, loot the deed to a house. This game brought me as close as possible to my Norwegian Viking roots. Allowing me to pillage, and live of my loot :p thia game was epic for me. Great memories.

No MMO ever topped the wild wild west of UO from 97-the end of 98. The EQ/WoW model of curated grindy theme-park experience could never match the dynamism of DIY fun or the exhilaration of PVP with all your gear on the line anywhere. Shit was so lit.

I remember when i had started my smith and left Brittain for the first time, a Guy i had been talking to in the training hall comes rushing upp attacking me, he had created a new PK it seemd, problem was, my smith had swordsfighting and 100str and his toon was like 75 str or something so he died, to my smith :p

I remember when me and my sister would kill animals such as deers, rabbits, even horses. We had a small house in the woods west from Brittania given to us by Lord British where we would make baked goods and pies for The Great Feast. I stopped playing when my sister got PK’ed and was never able to find her way back to Res. 😂
You must have played when there was lag at the server lines.. those were the days.. spawn was very very low and pking was nasty! I almost quit after playing for 8 hours collecting 800 gold and the Korean pk's got me at the entrance to shame.. I was running back..
There's still a chance to get into it, look up the free UOForever server. It is just like the old days, and there are thousands of people who play it. This game is not easy to get started into brand new, but once you get it down-- it is amazing. Some of the best times of my life were spent on this game in the old days, and now I get to enjoy it again on this server.

Most of these songs were originally from Ultima 9. They even reused some of the textures from Ultima 9 in UO: Third Dawn. I guess Ultima 9 failed so hard that they had to find some use for it.

Sounds like New Magincia from Ultima 9, considering they use allot of the U9 music in UO these days its posible its a Vesper song these days (or varriation of it).
Been listening abit, and seems the tracklist has its timespamps wrong så now im confused because vesper 1 sounds like a continuation of Valoria wich is from U9. Have to check in game i supose.
Well, you don't have to go in game to hear it. Simply either open the download page, or the source playlist. The timestamps are probably off, because they were generated based on RUclips's reported durations, and they were off. It's more noticeable in a longer soundtrack.
