I don't know how many hole saws I've ruined on those multiple layered tar and gravel roofs putting in pitch boxes. Good video, looking forward to part 2.
Was the framing underneath there already? Or did you just pick those spots? It almost looked like the building was designed for more than one system from the beginning.
okay... You just said that in the video. I meant, was old and using a lot of energy or couldn't keep up with demand? That sorta thing... I heard the video loud and clear
Im sorry joeyf504327 I ment to say that the landlord is splitting the space into 3 suites... and would like the tenant pay their own gas and electric bills... I do hate for that unit to go...
well if you use any product from a can it will catch fire when you hot apply with open torch best to use a butyl tape as small as you can then he can go over no problem. I install curbs all day long or living in all types of roof the tape works on smooth surface only you can also use exp foam
We do what the roofer wants... He torches the rolled roofing and aplyes it to the curb.... Thanks for watching and commenting....I do agree with what you are saying! I don't like using the tar in a can...but that's the way everyone involved says they want it..

Those were old skylights... We picked those spots but the framing we got lucky..exactly the site we needed..
Looking great Bill can't wait to see the rest
thanks harry
Looking forward to the other parts but looks great so far Billy .
thanks Justin.. we just got started... hopefully we can keep a good pace...
Nice start on the project. Looking forward to next video installment. sorry you'll be saying goodbye to a friend in that L-series.
I hear that.. I do love that l series... thanks for watching Straycurrent
Dam you didnt show how you cut through. Who decided exactly where you cut? The engineer?
Billy they don't require joist hangers/if you cut one. Wow, wish I had worked in your area.
actually we did not cut a joist/rafter...it was originally framed in the 50's for skylights that were never installed....so we used those openings...
So who cuts the hole? The roofer or the hvac vendor?
@@user-mv4nt9xk4i we cut it
@@BillyKnoth my Hvac vendor does not want to cut because of warranty voiding of the roof. I'm trying to understand the steps.
@@user-mv4nt9xk4i this just something we did it...but every contractor is different.
What turns on those compressors? In other words, how does the board determine that it needs more cooling?
Thermostats, sensors depends how they wired it
That's a SMART property manager
Smart?
Who decided where to cut on the roof? Did you need an architect or engineer to look at this? Who framed the beams in tge cieling? Plz lmk
It was framed that way when the building was built. It was for possible skylights...
Can you do video on how to do ductwork on AC unit
BILLY GREAT VIDEO MAN. WHAT A CLEAR PICTURE. ARE YOU USING THE G3?
Emin HVAC yes im using my g3... and thank you!

No I was thinking about putting it on my shop???
HVAC ROOFTOP INSTALL (PART 1):
how much should be charged for this type of work?
I can't say.... There are a lot of variables that will make up the price
an approximate single work
5-6k?
Don't you just love surprises on the job site?
Sweet. We were cutting holes in a roof today for fan curbs. Our roof wad def nicer to us.
talyn875 I hate those surprises... But we motored through and got it done...
Need to get you some better Curb! Vibrex!!
Doesn’t it always seem to go that way, lol
Yes it does!

roofer must be pissed after you fucked up his work with that tar in a can nonsense
Paul Hutton nope....why? how would you do it? he came and hot flashed it later.....

CHECK THIS OUT ON RUclips
Nice looking work. Those L series are great units. Very easy to work on. Are they going to run the gas and electric from underneath?
electric will go through pitch pocket.. and gas will run on roof... not my call ... we have nothing to do with that...
Billy Knoth just wondering since the space is down to the studs.
Rob HVAC I know that would be good... But that is only the front half of the building and the meters are in the back..
