Not really popular, a few of them wore it back in like 2014-15, mainly Senezh specialists (There are 3 Russian SSO/SOF centers - Senezh, Kubinka 2, and 561st ERC, they are their Tier 1 units basically. There are also the FSB centers, 5 of them to be precise - Alfa, Vympel, Smersh, Kavkaz, and Taurida), but primarily during shooting tournaments. In their early years they mostly used Fort Goplite carriers in multicam, and later also in Atacs FG. Some other used carriers included SRVV Alpha carrier, Fort Defender, or the 6B45, and mainly 5.11 TacTec. In 2019 the whole SSO purchased the Integrated Tactical Plate Carrier from OPS/UR Tactical (Chinese company located in Hong Kong, they use legit materials) in Atacs iX (as of now, SSO is the only command officially using that camo). That carrier and and Fort Goplites were the two main issued carrier, tho SSO also worked with MBS Raidgear and they were seen with those mainly in 2019 and 2020 during shooting turnaments (I believe they started cooperating back in like 2016, their MBX carrier is the issued carrier of Belarusian Alpha unit). Mainly with the Fantom carrier, which is a heavily altered copy of the Direct Action Spitfire with some pretty interesting features. A lot of other carriers have been seen with them as well. Ars Arma is one of the most popular brands whose carriers are privately purchased. A-18 Skanda seems to be the most popular, but Ars Arma is also known for making pretty good Crye copies (Skanda is also Crye compatible). Frankly, their AVS is one of the most popular carrier among their SOF too. They also used to make JPCs, but a few legit one (and AVS vests too) from Crye have popped up among them as well. A pretty cool carrier (or system rather) is the Gearcraft Atom specifically made for TsSN Alpha. Another rather interesting thing is the Voin uniforms. Ukrainians also produce some interesting designs, but for some reason the TacTec design is extremely popular there - look at Velmet who have been manufacturing gear for their SOF (also called SSO). Another fairly popular carrier suplied to SOF comes from M-Tac. Pretty cheap, but apparently fairly good. If you can get your hands on any of these, it would be quite interesting.
This is not Cubano cortes it's so called "skrytnik" or low vis plate carrier. The main point of that plate carrier is to be able to contain granit/esapi plate and soft armor simultaneously.
The Cubano Cortes is probably one of the best made russian carrier familys out there. The owner was a designer for Techinkom and runs R-Karbid from their factory grounds. They also make the Cubano in an Esapi version as well. They are a semi-custom maker and will make products to the customer's requirements. I have a couple of low vis carrier made by them that I had made in SFLCS Khaki.
The version that was really popular in Syria, during the battle of palmyra in 2016 is the molle version, plenty more features and I'd say even better thought out than the slick. I used to have one in Multicam and my only complaint is that it felt very "rigid" compared to western plate carriers.
That's their low vis model. It's meant for wear under a garment. The kapa would make the carrier impossible to conceal. The regular Cortes will allow for ventilation pads to fit. The kapa has no ballistic stopping capability but the Granit is meant to be worn with soft armor in a 6b43 or 6b45 armor with a kapa behind it to ventilate.
