- Hello, and thank you for watching again!
Today I bring you a full polish on a Nakagawa damascus gyuto w/ blue 1 core and some very important lessons.
1) Nothing will ever replace a strong foundation of work. I spend the most amount of time on my first stone in order to create the best geometry possible before ever moving on as any deficits will be strongly obvious as the polish moves into finishing, and then immediate regret set in. 😂
2) Examine your work carefully in multiple ways with multiple types of light in order to avoid any leftover scratches, and always spend more time than you think is necessary as it probably is.
3) Any issues that you work to remedy from the blade don’t necessarily go away. They just become less apparent, so always maintain a high level of scrutiny for those areas as you’re moving on in your polish.
4) There’s no such thing as a quick polish as anything worth your time is going to take a lot of time and work. Enjoy the perfection on each stone instead of rushing to make the finish, which will be rather luck cluster if you don’t.
Thank you for watching!

Wow, what a great polish!
It’s amazing what can be accomplished when you’re allowed to focus for once 🙏🏻
love the video!!
i think that cutting the audio of the stones cutting trough the metal is a waste though, we could hear the grit differences
