Maybe an unpopular opinion, but as a lifelong OU fan I wish they would rescind their acceptance to the SEC and remain in the Big12. I know that's not going to happen, but I'm really liking the direction of the conference. I feel like if OU and Texas could really just turn this whole realignment on its head if they changed course and turned down the SEC and it would just be hilarious. I honestly have hated this move from the get go because all the years of domination by the SEC in particular against my Sooners on the big stage. LSU, Georgia, Bama, FL have all beat us for the national title or in the semi final. And all the years hearing ESPN talking about how great the SEC is kind of made me despise them. Now we're joining them. I get it's all about money and exposure but it just doesn't sit right with a lot of fans. I like that college football has regional rivalries and seeing a lot of these die kinda sucks. I get that we can create new ones with SEC schools while collecting massive checks and having a seat at the big boy table but it's not the same and I kind of liked OU being the big fish in the small pond.
Thank you for bringing up the real world impact to real world people that these huge shifts make. I feel like it gets lost. Thanks for the content, you got a new subscriber! Wreck 'Em!
I have seen Oregon - Washington going to Big10 but also Oregon - Stanford which makes more sense to me for what the Big10 generally looks for in schools. So if the Big12 is looking to expand, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah make the most sense to go after and most likely be able to keep if there is more expansion. Assuming that the Big10 does go for 4 more teams and get to 20, does it make any sense to just propose a merger now between the Big12 and Pac12. Let's just say the Big10 does take 2 more from the merged conference, then the SEC needs to grow some more and takes say Oklahoma State and Kansas, the new merged conference (just call it the Massive 20 Conference) will have enough to survive where either or both conferences alone might not survive. Doing it early instead of waiting for the axe to fall before trying to merge will keep it in the conversation to stay a power conference in my mind. Staying separate may be the death of both conferences as power conference. What do you think?
If it makes sense financially, the Big 12 should go after all the remaining Pac 12 members including Oregon and Washington! As long as it can increase GOR revenue, they need to go after all of them! Plus Big 12 should look at possibility of going after Pitt, NCState, Boston College and VT if they can figure out exit fees!
Once USC/UCLA leave the Pac12 and Az/ASU are in Big 12, if you are a Southern California football player that is not offered by USC or UCLA, the closest university to play power conference football will be ASU or U of A. Both programs should see nice improvement in recruiting.
Brand or no brand, Oregon and Washington must fit in B10 financially and be a positive financial gain to the B10, that is what is not being mentioned. Both should IMO go where Utah goes.. When Utah leaves and Oregon and Washington is sitting there and no calls from the B10 could create some anxiety in Oregon and Washington.
Yes Oregon and Washington might have to go independent for a bit if the now "Pac 10" conference falls apart and the big 10 doesn't come calling for them
The current financial situation for both is under the horrible Pac12 media deal. It isn't a stretch to imagine that both teams would be top half of the Big10 in terms of TV viewership and money generation given their market size and strength of their brands with their games actually being widely available.
Looking at this from Charlotte. It looks like Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Arizona State are going Big 12. I have no idea where that leaves Oregon and Washington.
If this is true it sounds like the Big 12 is trying to make a power move to force Oregon and Washington into a corner. If the B1G and SEC don't want to expand into the Northwest then it could force Oregon and Washington into the Big 12 since they don't have any other good options other than independence. Sure there is the ACC, but traveling across the entire continent to play sports is not nearly as appealing if you are making $50 million less per year than USC and UCLA.
@@youkjourney you are totally q narcissistic smoking crack. No big12 school would want to play more games at 9am and also get less money than staying in the big12. How much crow can these crackpots enjoy before they get off their anti big12 comments?
As a fan of the B12 since day 1, Colorado is NOT where I look to first. In fact, they are very much towards the bottom for me. I could be wrong on this, but among long time B12 fans, I think the number of people that have missed Colorado since they left the B12 is close to zero. I would venture to guess that almost no one wants them back.
@@mahonrimoriancumer9932 from a brand perspective, the clearest to 2 choices are Oregon and Washington. From a location and culture fit perspective, I'd pick Utah and both Arizona schools.
@@ramirocastano7444 A lot of BYU fans feel it will force Oregon and Washington's hand if the Big12 would take the Arizona schools first, feeling if Oregon and Washington don't get invited to the BIG10, they would head to the Big12 because the Pac is done/over. Is culture and location much of a consideration anymore?
@@mahonrimoriancumer9932 to me, if Oregon and Washington were an option for the B12, they'd be my top 2. I just don't think they're coming to the B12 no matter what the B12 does. I think they'd rather wait out the B1G for years rather than join the B12. But that's just me.
Patrick Ruybal - KSU Alum here - It is not for you to decide what the Big XII will be when the two betrayers leave. You are entitled to your opinion, only . The Big XII powers that be know what they are doing, and I am confident that the conference will continue to thrive.
Totally agree. Big XII should remove any doubt and offer them both immediately. New Commish should already be in work mode even though not officially. His job in the future fully depends on it.
Agreed!! The remarks made by the remaining B12 members is precisely the reason they lost NEB, CO, MO, OK, TX, TX A&M etc... That same old "Good Old Boy" BS is what got them torched in the first place. It's that same snooty attitude that has Cal and Stanford running out of chairs to sit in. Sort of like the kid who always gets picked last for pick up games.
All the other schools that left the Big 12 was the un equal profit sharing mostly at fault of Texas. A couple of schools even came out and blaintedly said so.
I would like to see the Big XII offer Notre Dame, not that they will get them since it seems obvious the B1G conference will get them. Beyond that I would like to see the Big XII reach 16 teams by grabbing Oregon, Washington, Utah and Arizona first.
Might as well shoot our shot with ND. They can only say no. If not them, I want the AZ schools and Utah and anybody but Colorado. I’m still salty from when they left.
So it seems as though Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah is just about a certainty right now. I was calling for this once it became clear the Big 12 wasn’t going to go under. I have another idea. If the SEC takes Clemson and Florida St. form the ACC then the Big 12 should go after North Carolina, Miami, Duke and …. Memphis. Why Memphis? Because if you have Kansas, Duke, N.C., Arizona, Baylor, Houston and Memphis you are the most dominant college basketball conference of all time.
OU/UT can leave before 2025, but their media rights stay with the Big 12 conference until then. Pretty sure they have been looking at challenging that in court and have found it very expensive and very little chance they would be successful. They could buy them back from the conference, but guess who gets to set that price? The owner (Big 12). Can you say an "Arm and a leg"?
Big 12 needs to get Oregon, Washington,Stanford, Utah instead of Colorado and the Arizona schools . The Big 12 needs a California school to get in that market .
Agreed adding those schools would keep it a powerful conference in multiple sports. Oregon and Utah have been hot the past few seasons. I could also see adding stanford and maybe boise st
I am not a "Fan" of either team, but the "Holy War" is one of the best rivalry games! I would still add San Diego State to strength your position in California and Boise State, who is making the necessary changes to be in the Big-12! Adding Colorado and Colorado State would also be another "Rivalry" game! 😁
If ND goes to the Big 10, they will take Sanford and maybe Oregon & Washington. I'm OK with us taking these four. An offer to Oregon & Washington as well. I don't like it, but if we had 18 I might also consider inviting SDSU & BSU to get California and Idaho in the mix. That would totally kill the PAC. There can be only 4 (or 2) Power conferences
The situation w/ND and Stanford working together is very interesting. Realistically Stanford would be better off trying to join the Ivy League and de-emphasizing football than becoming some independent paid to travel & lose at Bama, Georgia or Penn State.
You lost me when you brought up Boise and SDSU. Please, the Big 12 should only raid the Pac 12 right now and later the ACC to eventually get to a 20 team conference.
The ACC will lose members at some point too. It's a matter of when and not if. It's being held together by a huge grant of rights and a partnership with Notre Dame. There will be some good brands/markets out east that the Big 12 could get to join. I'm thinking Georgia Tech, Louisville, Duke, and Virginia Tech-schools that probably won't make the Big 10/SEC cut.
Please, no Duke. They aren't interested in their football program and coach K. is gone. Who knows if Duke will be any good in basketball in five years.
@@mmorris6341 yes, it does. However, I believe there is a clause that if enough schools leave the ACC, they can get out of their grant of rights fees-much like how ESPN wanted to dissolve the Big12 to erase the OU/UT fees. If there are serious talks between Clemson, FSU, Miami, and North Carolina with the SEC, panick might set in with the other schools to find a more stable home before the rest. Kind of how like ASU, AZ, COL, and Utah are talking with the Big12 today. Perhaps 4 or more middle tier ACC schools also ring up the Big 12 if the Big 10 is not interested. That would be 8 of the 14. The Big 10 and SEC will be fine. The question is there going be room for other conferences to compete with them. As 3 separate conferences the ACC, Big 12, and Pac will not be able to. But a 3rd 20/24 member mega conferences made up of "the best of the rest" including some group of 5 schools might be at least competitively relevant if not financially lucrative. The power 5 era is coming to a close. Will it be a big 2 or 3? Schools in the Pac12 are now asking themselves this, and so should schools in the ACC. The Big 12 is in a position to be the aggressor. OU and UT held them back from expansion before. The loss of LA and knowing that ORE and WASH are actively looking to get out, shows the rest of the Pac12 their conference is no longer viable long term. The ACC is waiting for the shoe to drop on their top earners, and cannot make moves until they do. Clemson and FSU are a lot like OU/UT and the USC/UCLA situations. Their conference is holding them back from earning their full potential, and their financial wants are holding their conference from being proactive in expanding their brand.
@@craigkirsch6750 good point, but you could say the same about Clemson's football brand too. They've have coaching consistency for years, but the DC and OC have now left. What comes next for them? Sometimes it's not about the on field or on court product. Sometimes it's brand recognition. If someone offers me a Coke vs RC or TAB, I'm probably going to take the Coke. And that is why branding is so important-along with potential market size. A good product helps, but not as much as marketability. It's one of the reasons why the Big 10 chose Nebraska over Missouri. Michigan vs Nebraska got tv executives salivating. At the time at least. But the ups and downs of Nebraska can affect anyone-including Clemson. Strike while the iron is hot & hope for the best-all the way to the bank.
Get these four to get to 16, then get four of the following six (who WANT to be a part of the Big 12 for this round): Oregon, Washington, SDSU, USF, UNLV, and New Mexico. Big XII can offer all of these regional opponents to help build their brands and lift the conference overall.
Big24 plus SEC24 with 2 independents... ND and BYU = 50. (and maybe Miami goes independent for 51) Best o' the rest (aka the future Big12 replacement) Miami Virginia Tech Oklahoma St. Kansas St. San Diego St. Washington St. TCU Arizona St. Boise St. Rice UCF Louisville Cincinnati Houston ...and if you had to, you could add dumpy Texas tech and Oregon st. for 16 teams. I for one believe that instead of the BIG12 and PAC12 trying to poach from each other they merge. While adding a San Diego State and Fresno State. That locks in Time Zones from a media perspective. Do I believe this could happen 50/50. You have two new Commissioner's that have a strong Media background for both league's. It could work "BIG PAC12" just an Opinion.

There's been reports that the revenue coming out of Oregon and Washington weren't impressive to the Big ten... And their biggest Hold upright now is if Notre Dame comes, they'll probably only take Oregon. However, if they can does pass on both, I definitely think it's something that the Big 12 should go after.
I think they are both participating. Bowlsby indicated upon his retirement that he would still be around to help if needed but he did not want to upstage the new commissioner.
The chancellors/presidents of the schools make the final decision on admittance to the conference. I don't think it needs to unanimous, but it needs to be a high percentage.
I hope the Big 12 picks them up. They deserve to have a home there. If I was the Big 12, I would be inviting Washington. I don't think the Big 10 picks them up

Football should be separated from the rest of college athletics. It's a shame to see the Pac-12, which is competitive to dominant in every sport outside of football, is going to fall apart.
Facts. What’s annoying af about this is the reliance on TV deals. Obviously anything west of the Mississippi is going to have a rough time. Most of the country lives in the east where the B1G and SEC is. It’s obvious why they get the TV deals they have
Other than the 4 teams we're talking about right now. Big 12 could go after the following teams to boost themselves: Washington/Washington State/Oregon (All 3 since Pac-16 is basically gone) UNLV (all around good teams and close to Utah, BYU, ASU, and arizona) UTSA (They have a really good football team and can only get better with bigger teams) Memphis (Basketball can be fixed to be one of the best) NM State (Basketball and Baseball) Boise State (Help branch out to the West coast with Washington/State/Oregon, also football is decent) I'm not saying that B12 should get these teams, but if they do, these are the possible reasons
@@ckstaff also UNLV sucks across the board in every men’s and women’s sport for several years now to even decades. Ok, here it is, ultimately: To the Big10: ND, Stanford, Cal, Colorado, Washington, Utah, Oregon and Arizona. And if ND stays Independent, Kansas. ESPN won’t do that. ESPN specifically doesn’t want anything to do with the B12. There was an ESPN correspondent who mentioned that. Bias for eastern schools.
And its about covid behavior. No one seems allowed to talk about this, but the PAC cancelling games was a big factor in USC leaving. Oregon and Washington may be left out on that principle alone.
As a Utah fan I have no idea what I even want. I still feel like a newbie in an AQ conference. Although there have been rare exceptions, we are used to being disrespected and underestimated and overlooked for opportunities, so there's definitely a part of me that is worried we will end up going back to ultimately being in a non-AQ conference if we play our cards wrong. That goes double if Whittingham decides to retire any time soon, and he's already talked about it. As a side note, I don't believe the PAC-12 or the Big-12 conferences have gotten proper credit over the past decade. I really don't believe the BIG-10 or SEC are really that much better on average than the PAC-12 or the BIG-12 every year. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Everyone assumes Alabama is amazing. Alabama doesn't play many risky games outside the conference. If they win the conference, a two-loss Alabama team probably gets a bid to the National Championship over a one-loss BIG-12 or PAC-12 Conference champion. And if they don't win the conference, the SEC team that beat Alabama is automatically assumed to be amazing, and a 2nd place Alabama team is still in contention for a spot. I could go on, but the point is I have learned over the past decade that 50% of a team's value is based soley on the size of the population of the city and state where it is located, 25% of a team's value is based solely on name recognition from how good a team and the conference it was in was 50 years ago or 100 years ago, and 25% of a team's value is based on building a quality program. So no matter how hard you try, if you don't have a long history (which you can't change now) and you don't have a large population (which you mostly can't control) you can at most be seen as a decent fit to fill in gaps, while a team that has an amazing past and a large population only has to put a half decent team on the field that is usually bowl eligible most years and they will still be "the belle of the ball" in negotiations and in predictions. And since they are the valuable programs, they also will always have bigger budgets and will always be able to poach the best coaches from other programs ensuring other programs can never have longterm success unless they have a super loyal, good coach like a Kyle Whittingham. Anyway, the point is with this move sadly at a national level it looks like both the PAC-12 and the BIG-12 are going to be in for a fight to argue that they still believe they should be AQ conferences. Right now the PAC is in more trouble, but both conferences have a fight in front of them from what I have been reading. Utah isn't important enough to carry any conference and make them relevant. We are lucky to even be in the conversation. There has been talk about Morgan Scalley potentially taking over for Whittingham, and if he can have success and is loyal our program might gain some survival, but it's a scary, unknown transition. And right when our program is already at a dangerous place for remaining relevant our best options for conference companions are also all under threat. I have loved the PAC-12. It is a good match for way more reasons than just athletics. But I can also solidly understand why USC felt disrespected and finally left with UCLA even if I don't like it, and the truth is the PAC-12 is in trouble. I have always had respect for the BIG-12, and even though it probably isn't as good a match outside of athletics, it might even be a better fit for athletics than the PAC-12. We tend to have a higher than average number of athletes that are religious that may feel a bit uncomfortable playing on the Sabbath, and the BIG-12 is more likely to honor that. Plus, we get to renew our relationship with TCU. Fans on both sides have mixed feelings about Utah and BYU being in the same conference again. We have honestly kind of enjoyed not having to be in the same conference as each other for awhile. But we have to play BYU every year to keep the State Legislature happy if nothing else unless we have a really good excuse not to. And since the PAC-12 has always insisted on playing that extra Conference game every year to ensure that our conference has properly canabilized itself and has almost no chance of getting an undefeated champion to the National Championship we have basically had to completely drop our even older rivalry with Utah State most years. If BYU becomes a natural conference game it would definitely open up our schedule to be able to accept games with big names like Michigan and Florida while still easily fitting BYU in and maybe even being able to add Utah State back to the schedule if they are willing to work with us as a 2 for 1 or something (which I understand if they don't want to do). The BIG-12 is still not going to get the respect they deserve nationally compared to the SEC and the BIG-10, but if the new BIG-12 can get a team into the National Championship I believe they can be equally competitive on average with those other conferences on the field. I know Utah will never get an invite to the BIG-10. All of that conversation is delusional at best. But to be fair, Utah for survival can't save a single conference, so it has to take the best offer it can get. If the BIG-10 gave us an offer, I think logically we'd have to accept it. But for what it's worth, if I were making the decision I would be sad about having to accept it. I've even heard jokes about Utah going to the SEC, but the people saying it admitted they were joking. I think Utah would have to accept that offer, too. But for what it's worth I really think the BIG-12 is a much better fit than either the BIG-10 or the SEC. And as much as I wish the PAC-12 could pick up the pieces, I really don't think that is going to happen. So as a Utah fan I'm kind of hoping we end up in the BIG-12, and then I'm hoping the BIG-12 shows the BIG-10 and SEC who's boss going forward. The fact that the BIG-12 and PAC-12 won't be essentially competing every year for the same spot in the National Championship could really help on that front.
Does anyone know if the 4 schools mentioned have even approached the B12 for membership? If they have NOT then there is no point in continuing this discussion until they do.
@@westernciviccapital3075 I could be mistaken but I have not heard anything about AAU membership being the driving force behind this phase of realignment nor was it a factor when TX and OU bolted for the SEC. Everything I have read indicates that FOOTBALL/money, AKA TV contracts, is the PRIMARY factor for what is currently occurring. Now if the SNOOTY schools are relying on AAU membership to bring in millions of dollars, such as what football brings in, well... good luck with that. LMAO! Oh by the way, I just saw where your precious AAU schools have already reached out to the B12 and the B12 is meeting today regarding those conversations. LOL!!!
Either the B12 or ACC will end up the “lesser” major conference. Because Clemson, FSU and UM would far rather be in the SEC, the B12 is in a superior position. Grab these four schools, sit back & see what occurs with Oregon & Washington. Frankly I’d be fine w/the B12 end up w/both Oregon schools, both Wash schools and boot UCF, Cincy and Houston (but I know this won’t happen)
So you would rather have Oregon St. and Washington St. over UCF, Cincinnati and Houston? Those two bring absolutely nothing of value and why would you want two teams from those two states. They are destined for the MWC.
@@craigkirsch6750 You’re likely right about their future. I respect what WSU has done from time to time, but it’s hard to ignore the Houston market & everything that goes along with having a foothold in Fla. I’m not yet a believer in Cincy having consistent success or interest. Btw, I’d have to think really hard to make a case for OSU football
Colorado is low now but it has a very high ceiling. If they can just that football program out of the dumpster they would move the ratings needle. They attract well even after two decades of bad football.
I don’t think Arizona will be willing to sign onto a TV deal with the big 12 and lock themselves in for a decade. Arizona is an AAU member. And it does bring a lot to the table the main thing being access to the Phoenix tv market. If the Big Ten does eventually go to 24 teams instead of 20, Arizona is definitely a possible team they would look at add. Either way. Why is everyone assuming the SEC is not going to end up with more big 12 teams? I think the next team to join the SEC is definitely going to be Baylor. And if the SEC wants West Virginia all they Gotta do is ask and they’ll go. there are definite solid cases to be made for Kansas and Oklahoma State. And if Houston Isn’t that outlandish of an idea. Though I think that’s pretty slim I think the big 10 and the SEC will be looking to add Kansas At some point. Maybe a lot sooner than people think.
I think you on to something. There is some people that think the SEC and BIG 10 could expand beyond twenty. I am unsure about Baylor simy because the SEC already has Texas two biggest brands in A&M and University Texas. WVU though would make since as a filler due to location and relative size as compared to say...many mid level ACC teams. There could be some great rivalries develop with schools like Kentucky and Tennessee.

Washington fan here, I think Big12 ends up adding Arizona, ASU, Utah, and Colorado and really leans into basketball. Washington, Oregon, and Stanford join Notre Dame in the Big10 even if it doesn't happen right away. If UW and Oregon aren't accepted into the Big10 I don't think they Big12 can just cherry pick them, I think it leads to a full remaining Pac12/Big12 merger.

The Big 12 will no longer be a power conference once Texas and Oklahoma leave. No matter how much we try to kid ourselves, there aren't enough top quality schools for 3 super conferences. The future of college sports is 2 super conferences: the SEC and the Big 10. The remaining conferences will have transitory success. Of course we're talking football here. Again, no sugarcoating as football is the money-maker. No matter how good Kansas may be at basketball, they're not at all considered a top tier school. If basketball disappears tomorrow, we're still having these conversations of conference realignment with no changes in our talking points whatsoever. Not a basketball hater, I love college basketball much more than the NBA. I'm just speaking objectively and pragmatically. UCLA hasn't been the most competitive either. However, there is 1 thing UCLA has over every other school in the country, the Rose Bowl. Now, if you've never attended a game at the Rose Bowl, it's like never seeing a concert at Red Rocks. That is the main reason the Big 10 said yes to UCLA. Are you kidding me, conference games at the Rose Bowl? To put it into perspective, I'm Colorado born and raised. Been a Buffs fan my entire life and UCD alum. I have lived in Southern California now for 14 years. I guarantee you I will be buying tickets and attending every Michigan vs UCLA game at the Rose Bowl when they trade off venues year-after-year.....and that is why the Big 10 wanted UCLA.

@@doughensley6202 Not anti-big 12 at all. In fact, I'm anti-SEC. I love it when any SEC team loses, especially Alabama. However, as I stated above, I'm speaking logistically and realistically. The coming alignments are all about media markets and teams. Nationally, people and media outlets aren't making it a point to tune into a game down in Stillwater. Yet, they absolutely are for a game up in Norman. The only time the media cares about Stillwater is when the team from Norman plays there. My point was the Big 12 will remain, but will never be a power conference again.. It will become the same status as the Mountain West the minute Texas and Oklahoma leave. A&M made the smart move years ago and left. They saw the future of college football. I don't like it one bit. I miss the old days of the AP polls and Coaches' Polls determining the national champions. Look at Oregon. Fantastic football program. Yet, conferences aren't scrambling to get them, why? Nationally, they actually aren't a big ticket draw. Coupled with the fact Eugene is a couple of hours outside of the only viable market in Oregon being Portland. UDub is in a similar boat. Yes, UDub is right there in Seattle, yet, the Seattle market has never been a big college football market. Therefore, conferences and media outlets aren't scrambling to tune into a UDub game. Even when they play the Cougars. We're headed toward 2 Elite Super Conferences in the Big 10 and SEC. They will be like the EPL (English Premier League) with the other conferences being less relevant. Still have their versions of a champion, but it won't be the Elite National Champion that will come out of the Big 10 or SEC. We don't have to like it, we don't have to agree with it, but we're definitely ignorant if we don't understand it and realize that is coming. The NIL will only be the accelerant to make it happen faster. By the way, I am not mentioning the Pac-12 as it's well understood this recent shift essentially removed the Pac-12 from power conference status. It's foolish to think otherwise.
This is all leading to a P3 don't kid yourself. Two super conferences won't be able to sustain tv sets. Do people forget college football is regional. The moment you leave the majority of other football teams out fans lose interest.
Wreck 'Em!
Blaming supposed "disorganization" on the reason that Texas and OU left is RIDICULOUS. They caused the disorganization.
Let's get a contract with Arizona/Arizona State/Utah/Colorado soon
If the Big 12 can make this happen I think they have a good chance to survive this.
I heard they are meeting on Tuesday with them.
Hell nah Utah to the sec 😎😎
Other than Utah football, theses athletic programs suck
Kansas vs Arizona basketball twice a year boutta be crazy
what keeps the Big 12 from going after UO and UW if B1G hesitate??????
Once USC/UCLA leave the Pac12 and Az/ASU are in Big 12, if you are a Southern California football player that is not offered by USC or UCLA, the closest university to play power conference football will be ASU or U of A. Both programs should see nice improvement in recruiting.
Could also improve Texas recruiting.
Yes Oregon and Washington might have to go independent for a bit if the now "Pac 10" conference falls apart and the big 10 doesn't come calling for them
There is always the MWC they can go hang out at
The current financial situation for both is under the horrible Pac12 media deal.
Big 12 gets those 4 schools and Pac 12 get Texas Tech, TCU, OSU & BYU. It's a 4 team swap. 🤣🤣
No AAU schools are going to the Big12
As a fan of the B12 since day 1, Colorado is NOT where I look to first. In fact, they are very much towards the bottom for me. I could be wrong on this, but among long time B12 fans, I think the number of people that have missed Colorado since they left the B12 is close to zero. I would venture to guess that almost no one wants them back.
Who from the Pac do you want?
@@mahonrimoriancumer9932 from a brand perspective, the clearest to 2 choices are Oregon and Washington. From a location and culture fit perspective, I'd pick Utah and both Arizona schools.

Oregon and Washington for starters should be the discussion
They probably going to the big 10
Yes, but the Big12 should jeep in mind the this would probably just be a temporary move until the Big 10 invite comes along.
@@rubinortiz2311 no they are not lol
The B10 wants them.
If USC, Mich, MichSt, Purdue, Indiana, and Stanford are all in B10. ND could literally play the schedule they want and still get conference money.
The only realistic approach for the Big12 to poach PAC teams would be to go for WSU, OSU, and ASU... then add San Diego St. if you want 4.
I would like to see the Big XII offer Notre Dame, not that they will get them since it seems obvious the B1G conference will get them. Beyond that I would like to see the Big XII reach 16 teams by grabbing Oregon, Washington, Utah and Arizona first.
Match the B1G offer to ND whatever it takes it will payoff. ND would fit in to the Big 12 better and would love being the top dawg.

Memphis will be in the Big XII no matter what
Colorado Utah Arizona and Arizona State be awesome pick ups
San Diego State could be a decent get. They better than Cal in sports.
@@Mike95407 Now that would be gravy .
I am not a "Fan" of either team, but the "Holy War" is one of the best rivalry games! I would still add San Diego State to strength your position in California and Boise State, who is making the necessary changes to be in the Big-12! Adding Colorado and Colorado State would also be another "Rivalry" game! 😁
Are you serious with who you think the conference should add?
Some good trips for the players.
Cal and Stanford are both going to be in the B1G
The situation w/ND and Stanford working together is very interesting. Realistically Stanford would be better off trying to join the Ivy League and de-emphasizing football than becoming some independent paid to travel & lose at Bama, Georgia or Penn State.
You lost me when you brought up Boise and SDSU. Please, the Big 12 should only raid the Pac 12 right now and later the ACC to eventually get to a 20 team conference.
Will the B1G championship be held at the Rose Bowl?
The ACC will lose members at some point too. It's a matter of when and not if. It's being held together by a huge grant of rights and a partnership with Notre Dame.
There will be some good brands/markets out east that the Big 12 could get to join. I'm thinking Georgia Tech, Louisville, Duke, and Virginia Tech-schools that probably won't make the Big 10/SEC cut.
Please, no Duke. They aren't interested in their football program and coach K. is gone. Who knows if Duke will be any good in basketball in five years.
That partnership runs until 2036 if I’m not mistaken.
If [ ND] thought outside the box and turned down Big 10 to lead the big 12 back to the top you couldn't tell me that wouldn't be amazing 🤯

Very possible Oregon doesn't get into the Big 10 making the Big 12 their best option
Not a chance those AAU schools go to any Big12. Lol.
@@westernciviccapital3075 I could be mistaken but I have not heard anything about AAU membership being the driving force behind this phase of realignment nor was it a factor when TX and OU bolted for the SEC. Don't sleep on the Big 10 getting FSU they want a school in the Fla market .
Though I think that’s pretty slim
I think the big 10 and the SEC will be looking to add Kansas At some point.
Baylor will not get any invite from sec. Sec doesn't want west Virginia big 10 doesn't want ku they don't being any money. Keep speaking your anti big 12 eson anti big12 propaganda. The big12 was predicted multiple times for years of their demise and it hasn't happened. How much crow for these people and organizations is too much?
So the Sec would add the worst and I mean the worst p5 football team because Kansas is good in basketball. Bahahahahaha
Kansas is not going to big 10 😅 makes no financial sense
Ok, here it is, ultimately: To the Big10: ND, Stanford, Cal, Colorado, Washington, Utah, Oregon and Arizona. And if ND stays Independent, Kansas. To the SEC: NC, Duke, UVA, Clemson, Florida St., Baylor, West Virginia, and Georgia Tech, for 24. The rest will make up a second tier 3rd conference.
UT has the ability to write the $100m+ exit check, OU not likely.
Utah has ZERO interest in following BYU. And if BYU is smart, they will stay independent with ND
I wonder if the big 12 could get NC State and Georgia Tech at some point.
I think that is exactly what will happen. ACC will be raided. Note Dame and Clemson are for sure going to leave to bigger pastures as well as one or two others. Big 12 needs some more eastern schools to go along with WVU, UCF and Cincinnati.

(West)Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Utah, Boise State, San Diego State
(East) Louisville, Pitt, Syracuse, Memphis, West Virginia, Cincinnati

Big 24 maybe lol
@@Tetio
Those would be some really nice pods! Each of the schools would bring something to the table. 👍
@@Tetio Your alignment of the schools you chose to add in addition to current Big12 and 4 future Big12 colleges next year are the only ones that make damn sense and works and feels right!
@@michaelwall3393 Hopefully they jump on those teams before they get picked apart themselves.
It would be a HUGE mistake. These teams are cancer.
Or we could do nothing have have the PAC poach from us like the B1G & SEC.
@@aCycloneSteve right..we can clearly see by whats happened to the PAC what sitting around will do..the BIG12 sat back 10 years ago and 2016 when they had they chance to add more teams and they sat and did nothing, or not enough..I for 1 am tired of seeing the B12 be the hunted..how many fans from the ACC and PAC were laughing at the BIG12 and predicting their demise? I hope the B12 decapitates the PAC..the WE can watch as the PAC and ACC are ripped apart
Why are they a "cancer?"
Colorado and Arizona and ASU haven't produced much on the field in some time now, but Utah is actually a pretty solid add.
You must be a BYU fan?
Kansas is the only AAU school in your conference. No chance Utah Colorado and Arizona join the Big12. In fact Kansas will end up in the Big10.
Do not get Colorado. UTSA a much better and rising program.
Continue to smoke your anti big12 espn propaganda. Espn doesn't want to pay the money and thst is for the big12 not exist. Sorry you have been brainwashed by espn and their desires.
