- The 97th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade returned to New York City with its giant balloons and spectacular floats - with people lining the streets to enjoy fan favourites like Spongebob SquarePants and Goku, and a few new characters along the way like Beagle Scout Snoopy, Monkey D. Luffy, and Po from "Kung Fu Panda."
Celebrities joined the parade, including boy band Enhyphen, who waved to fans from a Baby Shark float.
A few close calls this year with the slight winds, including Smokey the Bear needing a few extra seconds to stand upright.

Seeing Luffy made me wanna cry for some reason lol
I was watching the live coverage of it, and when it went by they started playing "We Are" and it was making me choke up a bit
The hat was popped but that actually made the ballon look more accurate to a straw hat.(Monkey D Luffy ballon)
People don't know that that wasn't actually a balloon that was Luffy actually going Gear 5.

I never thought I'd ever see One Piece getting the treatment it deserves here in the US but Film red got tons of promotion including an ad on times square and now Luffy's in the macy's parade. It's so refreshing to see hehe.
I'm so happy Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece and Goku from Drgaon Ball were floated too!

Oh yeah this year there a lot of Thanksgiving Parades that like the most like Bluey Snoopy Goku and definitely Luffy but there was problem few of balloon out of air like Luffy and Snoopy but there still good up in the air at least they didn't drop on the ground.

All of the Macy's stores in my town were closed down a couple years ago... I'm surprised they're still in business and have the funds to finance these annual parades.
It’s probably sponsored both by the city and privately. It’s still shown worldwide and accross the usa for sure so advertising should make up for it?

Not for nothing though, but the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Organizers and The US Soccer Federation missed such a great opportunity to promote the upcoming Copa America 2024. Especially now that soccer has become such a great deal in the US.
I remember in 2021 they made special balloons to support the USMNT for the 2022 FIFA Worldcup, and it was such a nice detail. How could they miss it this time?

Was there supposed to have been an Advent Calendar in the parade? Likely a float. I saw a new interview from this a.m. after the parade where the audience was being interviewed (I'm on the West Coast) and a young girl said her favorite was the Advent calendar. So I'd like to see that! I remember having a few of those!
