In this Welcome to the Jungle guitar lesson series, I will demonstrate how to play this classic debut track from the great Guns N’ Roses note-for-note.
Make sure you tune your guitar down one half-step to (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb) in order to follow along with this lesson and the original recording.
In the first video lesson, I will demonstrate that incredible intro and the verse and chorus riffs. I will end the first video lesson showing you how to play Slash’s first guitar solo.
In the second lesson we will take an in-depth look at all the remaining guitar riffs and of course, Slash’s second guitar solo.
    Have fun guys!
    Carl…

Let's give Izzy Stradlin credit too. GnR was more than one guitarist, especially on Appetite for Destruction. The band took a huge dive after Stradlin left.

@@TruePointers Izzy is amazing. Izzy, along with Matt and/or Steven, not being involved in the reunion has been a massive disappointment. Even in Slash's book, you learn what an integral part he played in the writing process. Without him, GNR was never going to last.

A lot of people teach this song but in the intro, they don't teach the ghost note slide from 2-4 on the G string(which Slash DOES play) and they don't teach the down up up picking pattern. Two small details that make a WORLD of difference!! Really shows you care about the quality of your lessons. I subscribed.

I’m a rocker from way back, but sitting in on a blues jam or country jam is just as much fun, you wouldn’t of convinced me that when I was younger, But rather than sit in the corner because I couldn’t play blues, country, or whatever, when everyone else was jamming, I started to learn a little of everything, you’ll be amazed at how much all styles of music use techniques from each genre.. have fun.

What guitar is that? I really like it's look, and it sounds nice, although that's probably more the amp. Anyone know?

Eres un maestro de la guitarra! Admiro muchísimo tu trabajo y tu nivel! Felicitaciones!

You definitely don’t have to pick the intro down up up. Although it might be easier I’m so used to alternate picking. You can alternate pick it just fine
