The official Ranking is a joke since they changed the criteria. It is mostly determined by the amount of tournaments you played. So its not representative really. Only to make non-chinese players feel better about themselves
@@jkcookie8841 Not really the reason, they are just doing that to force players to be more active, the problem is only so many players can be active in WTT from a single country, and when a country like china has 100+ players that can take on the world, well not all of them get that opportunity only the absolute best can (and they aren't the best by that big of a margin either) But you can't really have a player in the top 20 if they only participated in one or two tournaments over the past year even if that is their level
After this leaque, Truls should know how much and what to be imoroved. He also find the Chinese players are not unbeatble, especially in a single match of 5 games.

Truls is always exciting to watch. Always in a point no matter how much control his opponent has or how far back from the table he is. Great lobs, blocking and feel for the ball. His style is a great mixture of entertaining and effective. Guy is a highlight reel machine!
I must say that Truls did pretty well in the Chinese league. He got a 54 % win rate compared to other non Chinese players like Ovtchrov (38%) and Lin Yun Ju (50%). He also scored better than players like Lin Shidong, Xiang Peng and Xu Xin, this year.
Liu had his chances, especially game 2. He has the game to pressure Moregard, but didn’t vary his loop placement enough, nearly always going cross court into Moregard’s backhand.
So far, from what I've watched in these Chinese training "trials", there is a complete disregard for the service rules. The umpires, I guess, just don't care. This would never fly in an Olympic setting.

The "lower tier" Chinese players just have less Experience in couping with European playing style. They are still terribly strong.

Truls played surprisingly well against the Chinese (including Fan and Ma). I am impressed.
