- You can do many cool things in the DCS World mission editor. Today I will show you how to use the "radio item add" to allow you to control AI flights dynamically. The radio triggers will help make your DCS missions more dynamic, as you can choose when to send in each flight to complete its mission.

What do you want to use the Radio Menu to do?
Overlord-2-1 this is Nobby-1-1, can I order a uhhhh.................... pepperoni pizza with chili and garlic?
These videos just keep getting better and better! Thanks for this Chopsticks, I always learn something new from these 👍
Thanks Bean 👍.
Something I didn't know I needed untill after I'd watched! Thankyou!
LOVE the stock photos! Thanks for this video chopsticks!
Thanks, I have too much fun looking for ones with different expressions 🤣.
Love your videos, finding them really helpful. Would be great to see how to spawn aircraft using radio triggers to set up quick dogfights but be able to choose which aircraft spawns using the radio.
Thanks 👍. There will be a late activation video at some point soon.
Nice
always wondered how to controls things via the coms menu (thought the radio triggers were for setting up radio stuff)
You can do so much with it. We use it in the GR checkride to spawn and despawn the AI for air to air.
@@DCSChopsticks Nice
Never have I needed something so much and not known until I'd received.
Thanks, I cant wait to hear how you use this in your missions 👍
how did u get the model of the AI to change from the jet with covered engine inlets to normal? I have never seen that before.
This is because I set the unit to an uncontrolled AI. I have a video on how to do it, jt is linked at the end of this video.
This video would have been much better (in my own opinion) if what you are showing how to do was slown down just a little bit and explained.
So I was trying to get an AI tomcat to cold start and strike a target, but it would just start on its own without a command, and instead of following waypoints it would just go straight to the target.
Did you set it to be uncontrolled AI? Then use the radio to trigger the flight to activate?
The WP is probably down to the F14 only being able to follow 4 waypoints (from memory)
@@DCSChopsticks I had it on uncontrolled (the takeoff works) and it’s set to 4 waypoints, but it won’t orbit at the waypoint that I want it to orbit at, it will just follow the waypoints and strike the target
Is having the time condition necessary?
You shouldnt need the "time is more" condition. However I have had issues in the past with complex mission, so I have got in the habbit of spreading out my triggers and scripts so that they load at different times.
@@DCSChopsticks Thank you for the reply! I got my radio triggers to work with your help.
I think it was a good insight.. but runs through it so quickly
Wow this is possible?
The DCS ME is very powerful, but it also gets very complicated. Hopefully if this video doesn't make sense today, it will once I have covered more of the ME in future videos.
Next time not so much caffeine. You are clicking and explaining at lighting pace, and its very mind scrambling.
You can change YT playback speed using the settings cog on the video. Different people like the videos at different speeds.
Too fast... Unintelligible !
You can adjust the speed of any RUclips video in the settings menu if that helps.
