      Lauren Beckerle yeah xD and he was exausted because I made he do like 100 parallel slides in front of the camera until I got the shots I wanted xD
      so he started to fall at one moment cuz he had no energy left x)
      Glad you like my vids! :)

    1:58 must be printed out and converted into an oil painting. Here we see the skater's hand gently reaching out to the old lady like God in Michelangelo's Creation of Adam. Meanwhile, she scowls at this gesture with brute disapproval typical for a mere mortal.

    Your explanation of the physical technique was very good. What about wheel hardness? Wheel size? Frame spacing.

    • @amarissimus29
      @amarissimus29 Год назад

      Hard hard hard. That did it for me. 90A and up. Get on a slope and start slaloming. Tighter and tighter, eventually you will start to slide. That will give you the intuitive feel you need for the angle and speed. After that, it's just about committing. You have to snap to that angle. There is no in-between. Everything here is correct. I bought my first Sebas years ago after watching this guy. All his advice is great.

    Ha, yes I see where I've been going wrong, I need to get lower, for a start. I see that these slides were done on a nice smooth surface, would you consider it possible to do a parallel slide on pretty rough tarmac? Depends on speed and angle I guess..

  • @Mrmhibbert

    I was trying this a couple days ago but I don't think I was pushing enough with my heel and then my slide would end up with me on 1 skate.

    • @Johro66
      @Johro66 7 лет назад +1

      Martin Hibbert lol I need to perfect it too, I'm still turning too much, and it turns into a kind of power stop with a bit of slide. I think I need to keep my feet closer together, (and it needs a bit more speed too), then push with the heels. I think I'm getting there though ruclips.net/video/IzTeO3i6ut0/видео.html

    • @Mrmhibbert
      @Mrmhibbert 7 лет назад +1

      Johro's Inline Skater Channel yes feet closer together and keep them parallel as you make the turn.
      Once you start to turn put the weight on your heels and push into the slide

    • @bxl2012
      @bxl2012 4 года назад +1

      You need at least at least hardness of 84A to slide. 86A is the minimum for beginners. Learn other slides first (powerslide, magic slide), they are easier and you develop a feeling for sliding.

    • @joshmcdzz6925
      @joshmcdzz6925 4 года назад +1

      You can parallel slide with an 80A. I did with my 78A. It all depends on the surface and the state of the wheels ( new wheels are harder to slide with). Other than that, you are good with 80A. Caveat: you might need to replace them after 2 weeks or a week depending on usage and surface of slide.

    I cant even do a T stop with my skates at the moment as the wheels are too grippy and stick to the floor making me lose my balance and trip. And i find i end up turning rather than sliding in a straight line. Im a beginner and want to learn to stop properly. My wheels are 82a and 85a. Any advice would be appreciated 🙏

    • @TiagoInlineSkater
      @TiagoInlineSkater  3 года назад +1

      Hi! The reason why you end up turning is because you are putting too much weight on the sliding foot instead of the other one! When doing a t stop, the sliding food should barely touch the ground, while you're puting your weight the other foot! ✌️🙂
