    Even with a stutter, Ari is one of the most well-spoken youtubers in the nation. Rarely ever says "um" and has a great vocabulary. Dude is smart as hell.

      I happen to be really good at the "face-plant" method. It might also be the quickest stopping method.

    What we beginners don't understand is the weight transitioning between the heels and the toes and vice versa. I haven't seen too many videos explaining this. Seems easy, but when you're on your skates and don't have the skills, you have to think and do, not only do. It takes a lot of time because you have to figure it out on your own and you have to practice a lot until you really get it.

    I’ve been trying to teach my 8 year old granddaughter how to skate for the past 11 months and she is just so scared ! She won’t bend her knees and I have to hold her hands and pull her along with me ! It’s been really frustrating because I have brought her elbow and knee pads , special padded gloves , helmet , padded pants to put over her jeans , you name and I’ve brought it for her and nothing works ! 😂😂😂 I even have her watch tutorial videos ! Totally useless ., but I recently discovered your videos and I have been showing them to her and she is beginning to finally show some effort ! So I want to say thank you for taking the time to make your videos ! If anything , they are helping my granddaughter gain some confidence ! ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😊😊😊

      If you havent already, it may also help to teach her how to fall properly so she has the tools to land safely and feels ok falling. Hope she is having a fun confident time!

      I think it's important to also teach her to put pressure on the tongue of the skate with her shins, on top of telling her to bend her knees. Just bending knees without any other actions would easily cause backward falls. I've learned this the hard way.

    HalleluYAH! Thank you brother for this amazing lesson. I am still learning that as a beginner skater, stopping power is the single most important skill to learn. Really appreciate your skill in skating but more importantly, you taught this better than many others.

    That was awesome! Thank you! You explain really really well :) For me the whole stopping thing is basically why I never pursued inline skating because I was to scared to not being able to stop and then fall and hurt myself. But I think I will give it another try and practice how to stop properly. Thanks again :)
    Sending you love and creative vibes

    Do you have a video about how you got into skating...? I got into skating as a kid in the early 1980s on quad skates at two local indoor skating rinks. My parents got me suede leather Nike skates and I was so stoked for skating. 4 days ago I got my first inline skates to use to learn to kitesurf by pulling myself on inline skates with a small power kite.

    awesome video! I notice u stop mostly with your left leg for the final technique. Is your left leg your dominate one? or do you prefer keeping your weight on your dominate leg, and brake with your non-dominate one?

    • @pinkyandthebrain99
      @pinkyandthebrain99 Год назад +2

      I wish he answered these and other comments on videos. Honestly, being new to skating - better to practice using both legs so you have more options when skating. And if you're forced to an unnatural position or side, then you'll still know how to stop since you practiced both your dominant and non-dominate legs.

  • @CanadaBladers

    Technically speaking, NOT politically anything because it is a technical move that the laws of physics and gravity will explain very well, the popular "drag stop" actually performs an L move in order to stop. |_
    What you performed in the video, never made a T shape to stop.
    You made the L shape quite well.
