I had a cocker spaniel when I was a kid and when we took him fly fishing, he would jump into the creek and swim around chasing my fly because that's where the cool fish that he could chase came from. I only hooked him once, so I suppose that was a win since getting fly hooks out of a dog's ears or lips is a truly horrible experience....so I understand Chester...

Fun fact for the dog lovers, especially Labrador lovers ; Labradors trace their history to Newfoundland, where fishermen used St. John's "Water Dogs" to haul fishing nets, loglines, retrieve seals and catch other game in the ice cold waters of the North Atlantic. These pups were bred to become adept swimmers no matter how cold the water was.
They are also really good at chugging water and can easily drink half a gallon in one day 😅

Ontario is just so beautiful
When I watch Chester I see me of my boy. I cant keep him out of water. He doesn’t care if it’s 15° or 100° the pond or an Ocean he’s going in. When we’re walking on a decking surrounded by water I have to tell him “You better not” 😂 or he will try to jump over. He’s a big boy an I’m afraid I won’t be able to lift him back up. It’s unusual because he is a pitty and they aren’t known to enjoy water as he does. These pups are beautiful.

Wow Adam your buddy really Brought it with those steaks!! That assparagus wrapped in bacon looked awesome as well. I'm a meat eater and deer tenderloin appetizers, with grade A steaks, and the assparagus had my mouth watering, I was drooling like Chester. Great time, great friends, and great food is what it's all about!! 🍺🍺👍

Wonderful adventure there. Cooked up some great meals. Don't be afraid to do the skinny dip before bed, and get in the tent to dry off, and then sleep ala naturaul. THAT'S how ya know yer campin' by water in the Summertime. Good use of the Jackery to make pancakes. Excellent operation of the fire. Loved watching the dogs play with each other. Your friend is quite correct that there ain't no need to not eat well when camping; you can cook up truly fantastic meals... and ya'll did. That bacon wrapped venison cooked over fire was incredible. Some good steak sauce, and BBQ sauce... to pour over it? Awe yeah. The tent is surprisingly easy to set up, and give you a ton of room inside; I would much appreciate that kinda room inside. Also, consider finding a sandbar and camping ON a sandbar sometime. I do that often here in TENN in the Summer. The sand is so soft you can stay barefoot. Makes for a comfortable bed, too. Good editing. Great scenery. I subscribed!
