Trijicon reminds me of Ford: innovated one time, and then “you can have it in any color you want as long as it’s black.” It’s asinine that they never offered reticles or green SRO’s. I’ve got this new Holosun waiting at home and if it holds up I don’t think I’ll ever look back.
@@assclapper2231t is extremely innovative. Glass size (no one else has this glass size, and the ones that come close are in a weaker shaped housing). This has the comp reticle choices. There are multiple varieties of reticles, you get to combine whichever circle you want with or without the dot.
From all the torture tests I am seeing, the SRO is not more durable than the other proven Holosun optics. I suspect the Comp will be similar. I would prefer to buy the SRO as it is American made and says Trijicon….this 507 Comp has me really thinking otherwise.
I went to get some range time today. A couple of the RSOs kept asking me questions about my G19X milled slide. I told them about the 10 day program. They couldn’t believe it. I told them I got my slide in 9 days ( 1 day less than the 10 advertised). 2 future customers for the slide cut program 😂
Of all the people I have talked to and I have a few Green Dots, you are the only one that I have hear that likes the Red better. Nothing wrong or bad in any way because we see Optics different. The first time I used a Green Dot was was amazed at how much better my eyes liked it much better.
I also prefer red. Green really isn't bad. But when you are shooting outdoors with a mostly green back drop, nothing pops like red. I jusy really like contrast. I also prefer my irons to be green/yellow up front and blacked out in the rear. Everything contrasting helps me.
@@Kahuna9889 I find the green better than the red for my eyes. I was told the green would wash out here in Florida but it's far better for my eyes. I pick it up a lot faster and it's a lot cleaner and clearer for my eyes.
THANK YOU, had no idea on meaning of MOA, have watched so many videos talking about red dots and this the first that provided a sharp visual, great production team you have 🙌🏻
You said that the milled slide is blued. That will def creat some rust issues after time appendix carrying in the summer with sweat and not to mention rain or mosture. When you take that off after some time you will see rust if its blued. Do you offer a nitride or dlc type coating instead of bluing? That would be a deal breaker for me. Great video on the new comp Holosun.
I anything other than the dot or dot plus 32 moa circle, look like a blurry large dot. I still love it and run it on my edc but I was definitely underwhelmed by the different options
Totally new to shooting, coming over from the archery world. Just got myself a glock 47 and have my eye on a sig 365x macro. I would like to put this sight one one or both guns but am not too sure how the mounting entirely works. I dont want to mill it if it will lock me into one sight forever. Maybe I wanna put an Acro P2 or RCR on it would I be screwed if I milled it or I see people talking about the rmr footprint. I would love some clarification on plates vs milling since I'm cool with milling so long as I'm not screwing myself over in the long run. I really only shoot at targets, not beating the hell out of anything or using in dirt or rain.
Very nice... It's on my wish list for my comp gun. But I'll wait till they come down in price, figure nov-dec. Without the solar it should cost less to make but they are charging more.
The 407c x2 2moa green dot I got new for less than $200 is killa! Especially on my G19X w/ a $179 FDE Dagger complete SW4 upper RMR Cut, Threaded barrel, etc. On my G19X Frame. Fits snug as hell but not too tight & drives tacs at 25y. Also have a 15lb Spring Kit, the Black Yikes disconnector, everything polished, an O.W. Precision TAC trigger with a very short & light pull w/ a short forced reset. Love it! The Dagger Upper fits like a 1911... Nice & tight with zero play! My furthest shot was 60y on a coyote here on the ranch. Strange thing is, with my stock G19X Upper, the trigger is slightly harder to pull but its a huge difference with that Dagger upper on. Just cheaper to buy a whole new complete upper
I have the 1st generation Glock 17 I purchased in the 80’s. Can you mill those slides or just later generations? What is the cost to mill the slide with the RMR footprint that you show here?
Marketing I guess. You can get one or the other but both options are not available on the same optic. Pure marketing strategy. The SRO does not even have a green dot option. That's probably why Holosun does not offer it. It would be an easy add on feature.
Hi lenny i am new to glocks, you are the reason i bought my first one 2weeks ago g43x..love it.can you please tell me whats the difference in the glock 19 gen 1 -5.not sure what that means.
Yes. Especially since regular shooters tend to look for the dot. The extra wide window makes the dot easier to locate and center which makes this optic the best option for a "regular shooter".
You know I have to be honest I’ve really enjoyed watching your content and very interested in the pyramid g2 trigger but I have become extremely skeptical in regards to ordering products from your site due to endless negative reviews, comments and also you’re standing on BBB. Nice for competition. Great slide. LOVE the reticles! How well would it work for concealed carry. Wouldn't the larger, square screen be harder to conceal?
Not at all. I have this HOLOSUN HE507COMP-GR on my CZ Shadow 2 compact 9mm with a Streamlight TLR 7A light in a DeSantis Vengeance Scabbard Holster and it's perfectly fine for concealed carry.
I have several Glock 19 3rd Generations. Do you have a cut that maintains the sights. I don't want to lose my backup sights. I like the SCS-M-GR. I put it on my G47 and it didn't need a plate (Flush mount). Does your cut weaken the slide or is it the same strength as the MOS versions?
Fair warning, I have seen other channels get demonetized for referencing the platform that rhythms with Tumble. Channels that didn’t break any guidelines or rules but just happened to mention that they also were active on the other platform. Alright now to my related question, I’ve got a SD40VE and I know I wanna go the optic route but still wanna keep it reasonably cheap because I do plan on purchasing better pistols, do I go ahead and buy this sight and get my slide milled or just go with the cheaper option of purchasing a red dot that’s mountable with a plate.
We're unable to monetize anyways, so not too worried about that. Thank you though! 👍🏼 We are only milling Glock and Sig handguns at the moment. I would save up and purchase a Glock or Sig and either get it milled or purchase the MOS version. You will , however, have to use an adapter plate with the MOS version. Some people would prefer to just get their pistol milled and have their optic sit lower.
So at this time I’m guessing this new sight is just for the double stack Glocks like 17, 19, etc. Did Holosun indicate if there are plans for one for the 43x etc. ?
They won't be doing that, it wouldn't make sense too. Maybe they will release the 407k/507k with the Comp reticles. But they won't make a oversized red dot for a EDC subcompact pistols.
