@@japanesemickeymouse6694 Great question! The garage has been treated to account for this with a dehumidifier, insulated walls, and a ductless mini split A/C unit. In the several years it’s been up, thankfully no box has been damaged or been affected by moisture. There was an issue at the beginning but it was due to moisture inherent to the wood paneling I used for decorative purposes, not because of the weather.
My favorite thing Mort talked about was his kids playing with stuff in his game room. I’m so glad he still views these things as experiences to be had and not just wall decor.
I had the same issue with amibos too, but I did buy a few eventually. I gave a friend, a samus amiboo for his birthday and I bought a fox amiboo because I main fox in Smash 3Ds.
What compliments a game room like this is at least one emulation console running all the older gen stuff. This way you don't risk your precious carts and consoles lifespan from decreasing due to use
Man, I wish we had garages that big in the UK with our homes. Space comes at a premium here. Hopefully one day I can display my collection in something like this. Absolutely amazing 😍
Mini split is essential for any garage, insulated or not lol. My garage is my PC, Console, Printshop, Den etc.. I'm thinking of getting a small bistro table and chair.
about 3.5 years ago i converted our garage into a functional room.. we took out the garage door though and walled it in with french doors too. for abut 2.5 years we used it as game room and hobby room, but recently we it has become a bedroom and storage area.
love that Mischief Makers shout out, great game...i remember seeing that game at Toys R us as a kid and got it soley on the box art, it was probably my second N64 game i owned
Just like him my son sees my figurines as toys and so do I lol. Do I have stuff worth a lot if in box? Of course. But I opened them for my son and I to play. Why? Because you can’t put a price on memories and bonding with your kid and making lifelong memories is the most valuable thing!
Impressive collection, Clean setup BUT that Bioshock statue need more love! not only its a expensive piece but looks lonely, throw an acrylic cube on top, its collecting dust.. lol!!
Am I the only one that loves watching videos like this but would never want a room like this myself? Imagine dusting around all those amiibos lol I hate that you technically do not "own" digital games, but the neat freak in me loves them lol. Amazing collection!
I'm just gonna collect all the game I want to play rather than collecting for the sake of collecting and just sticking to ps4, Xbox series x (and backwards compatible games)
I loved the opening for Body Harvest a very cool 3-D graphic for the time, was never really able to figure out how to play it. But a fun game that doesn't get a lot of talk on the N64 for me is either Clayfighter or Virtual Chess 64. Both games had a lot of fun humor and designs for their characters and the mechanics were easy to get into.
in Brasil, we have the big boxes, like Zelda's big box, the here the representative of nintendo was gradiente, and some products just was sold here, but is rare here to kkkkkkkk
He should really close off the garage door with sheetrock or something maybe remove the garage door and frame in a French door.Id be scared of the rain or flooding .
@@castleranch738 Great question! Even in California where the weather is fairly tame, it’s a huge concern. The walls are insulated, and we installed a ductless mini split AC unit that is a TOTAL miracle worker. It’s essential. To manage humidity, the mini split as well as the dehumidifier we have in here do the job well.
@@MortsGarage looks like the mini split is going to be a must for us then! I’d be concerned about sealing off everything I can to help keep out the extremes but am hesitant to do anything permanent with the main garage door in the event we ever sell. This video has totally been inspiring for me. Subbed your channel and looking forward to your build out how-to! 😉 Thx Mort. 🤙
Nice room to have friends over... But since I don't have friends I'd rather invest in a Megacade, and have EVERY game ever made... All in one cabinet. 🐖😁
Love to see that Ac unit there. Seems to me you could still park a car there if you moved the couch. Makes it even more multifunctional, a storage for stuff, a room to play games in, and storage for a car/motorcycle.
Rick, Mort has an Ultra Amazing collection No doubt about it. Seeing all the sealed PSvita games and the multitude of others just in AWE !! Great tour for sure. Riff n Mort are so awesome in their own ways just like you as well :)

His organization skills are on point I would love a set up like this .
you need the physical room to do it, the garage looks like at least a 2 car garage, so it's bigger than most bedrooms.
Burnout 3 Takedown is the most fun i had with a racing game. Played it for hours and hours. Killer soundtrack
My heart warmed up when he said "My kids do [count amiibo as toys] take them down play with them". God bless this man's soul!
Thanks :)

Golly gee god forbid you actually play the games.
@@Senior_autismo Yes shitlord, because some of these games are 6 grand cartridges that shouldn't be played and instead emulated.
Thousands of games never to be played or looked at again, that's the dream
game room tours are showing up like crazy on my suggestions lol.. I gotta say I love amiibos as well
This is an amazing setup. Form and function, the dream scenario.
Super Puzzle Fighter is pretty much the only game my wife likes to play. I had no idea this came in an arcade 1 up cab.
