*I visited the Sydney Opera House in 1986 and took heaps of photos of the whole building, but also used a long lens to zoom in to get close up shots of the tiles.🙂 Gosh there really wasn't any concern over the workers, with no safety issues going on back then in 1973. But today, looking back in time, OSH would have a field day over safety issues today in 2024🙂.* Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, but completed by an Australian architectural team headed by Peter Hall, the building was formally opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 20 October 1973, 16 years after Utzon's 1957 selection as winner of an international design competition. 🙂 Wiki has lots more info.
