Currently, I own a 2010 F150 great truck and shopping for a new mid-size Truck Did not consider Honda until I watched your review and always looked down on Ridgeline believing it not to be a REAL Truck because it is front-wheel-drive unibody Thanks Chris for taking the time to produce this video
I'm a Honda Ridgeline fan! I've had two of them. Why two? Because someone decided to hit me from behind as I was stopped in traffic. My guesstimate is that the older model full size pickup truck that hit me was traveling at least 45 mph, and my 2013 Ridgeline safety features saved me from any serious injuries! (I did sustained minor scrapes on my wrist from the steering wheel airbag, but that's it) I enjoyed that truck (yes, truck) very much! So, after doing research for my replacement vehicle, I selected a 2023 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition. I was amazed at the differences from my 2013 to this model...Wow! Over the years, I have reduced my vehicles down to one, so my choice needed to be multi purpose, and the Ridgeline fits that niche perfectly! (At least for me) Sure, there are better choices if a person spends a lot of time off-road, but that's not me, I spend most of my time on pavement, and the Ridgeline rules the road in regards to midsized pickup trucks! (In my opinion) Cheers!
You ever take your ridgline on road trips and sleep in the back passenger area? Im planning to do that quite a bit and got my eyes on a ridgeline or f150 only because the f150 is a bit bigger inside.
I’m going to buying one of these in December, if available on a dealer lot. I’ve looked at all the options out there and this is going to do everything I need. I’m coming out of another Honda with 250K miles on it. It has been rock solid.
This is how all car videos should be made. Highly detailed without a single thing being missed. Wife has a '17 Pilot that I like driving and I've been thinking of getting a Ridgeline for a while, I currently drive a '19 Armada that will go to my oldest daughter in a couple years when she starts driving. We don't purchase new but a couple years older still under factory warranty to work out any issues. So my Ridgeline has already been built, maybe we are looking at it now... To the first owner, please take it easy and forget about that VTEC while you are driving it.
They need to up the power on these Ridgelines. Having it a little lifted would be nice too. My boat trailer combo is only 3000 pounds but the torque on the motor is pretty weak. Still I think I'll go and test drive one of these to see what all the positive comments are about.
Why does Honda have "Ford" interiors? Recall, Henry Ford said you can have a model T in any color you want, as long as its black. So, Honda has used the Ford method, and Black is very hot in the summer.
Hey Chris I just got one two days ago and was wondering if the window switches and door locks had light options ? They’re kind of hard to tell where they are since they don’t light up and I haven’t gotten used to it yet. Thank you for your time
nice getting the exact same color and trim next week! but dang the interior of yours already has scratches and pretty dirty. hopefully its cleaned up before someone buys it.
Arrived at dealership this week. Picking up next week Tuesday. Exact same model and color shown. Thoughts on turning off auto breaking when driving in Milwaukee?
I my have access to one. I currently have two Black Edition Ridgelines on order and my be able to contact Honda to get a black one for you if you're interested. Thank you for watching
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 no. Just saw a post about it where a driver was stuck on the road because the steering wheel locked up on him after he tried to start the truck back up after being in park. My truck arrives this week.
No Android Auto. Too small in front, terrible leg room. Horrible center infotainment screen, sluggish and outdated. No LED lighting all around. Come on Honda, get with it.
Thank you for watching. In the American Honda market you do get Apple Car Play and Android Auto, LED Taillights, LED Projector Low-Beam Headlights with Auto-On/Off, LED fog lights standard on all four trim levels. It's main competitor is the Toyota Tacoma. Both companies have a different approach for this class. Here are a few examples of Legroom (front/rear) below. Really liking this truck the more I research it. What's really strange though is Honda decided to keep chrome emblems on the 'black edition'.

I believe the big crome H on the front grill has to do with a sensor being in it.
Thats an easy fix though, you can put some tint film over it.
