My sign is scorpio so I've been wanting to make one of these but kept finding really long videos, I like yours bc it's short n sweet and I finally! have the general concept! Thanks!! Good job
I made mine pretty much the same as this, but I made a few alterations. Since mine's a pendant for a necklace, instead of trimming one of the tail wires down, I made a loop at the rear where cord can be strung through and wrapped the excess around the tail's base before trimming it. I also kept the longest wire of the tail long enough to loop it in on itself to make a tiny stinger. This is one of the cutest wire projects I've done, thanks for the tutorial! :D
Almandine Sapphire - Cool. Speaking of necklaces, I bet it could also look pretty good set into resin. Maybe add an amber tint and go “Jurassic Park” style on it
I like It. I do mine with 9 wires for the legs and two wires for the body. It gives it a little bit longer of a body. Just need to twist the 8 wires together to make 4 legs and that 9th wire will connect the tail to the body as the pinchers and keep it from wobbling around.
@@jawshlitelife no. I have been learning to wire wrap jewelry and thought this would be a neat change. I used wire from the farm store. Bought that just for practice. And it looks sloppy. Need to try again.
@@big_e7 believe it or not, but I actually tried to make a video, the thing was so small that my camera didn’t really focus in on it. Might have to try again sometime with magnifying glasses or something.
I did it while he was talking and it came out exactly like his! It's so cute and easy! He is amazing!
Thanks ;P

Brandie Reaves - Glad you liked it. I wanted to keep it short and sweet, so I recorded it in one shot. Took a couple times to get it right
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing.

thanks for helping me pass 3d art
You may call me Sensei :P
That intro was epic! Lol!
Right?
Made it with solder came out amazing
Nice. I think the tail moves too much when it’s not soldered
Awesome, I'm going to make it to give to the elementary students I tutor.
Thank you for sharing
No problem : )
nice
What's the optimal length of these wires?
5” or less if you’re good, personally I like having extra, makes bending easier
Thicker gauges required longer lengths, naturally.
Made a big one and then came here to make a little one.
How’d the design of the big one turn out? Similar?

Good video but what guage wire are you using and what are the length of the wires for this size
Thanks. Excellent question. 18 gauge and about 6 inches or 15 centimeters. I've also made a scorpion the size of a fingernail, interested in a video?
@@jawshlitelife yes please

Jonah Chan - I guess it’s time to make a large scorpion video
waste of time but good
Time is a matter of perception
You could call anything a waste of time, honestly
