    Had not seen a video from you in a while now, good to see you out trapping again. You ever catch and hold wolf in those ts-85 stock? I modified mine with extra springs and a gap between the jaws.

    • @tananayuut
      @tananayuut  8 месяцев назад

      Roger, been slow so had not posted anything. Just gathered clips from the line. Have not got one with those yet TJ got those from Teds Fur shed in tok I believe. All catches have been with AK #9’s

    • @aktrapper6126
      @aktrapper6126 8 месяцев назад

      That TS-85 would probably do the job stock, I just beefed mine up a bit to help them hold together and bust through the crust better. They are a fraction of the cost of the #9.

    Well a fox and a ptarmigan is better than nothing. I’ll bet he eats well too. Let’s hope for a wolf in your sets soon. I hope Kobuck is doing well. 👍👍

    • @tananayuut
      @tananayuut  8 месяцев назад

      Yes sir! It was a good eating one for sure. Got the gizzard and heart too. I’m excited to start tracking with Kobuk, got some moose legs for drags and maybe footprints. Hope to get some good bear action this spring 👍🏼

    Definitely a near miss on the foot hold. Dang it! I have been trying dog pee from a friends dog on my foot holds. No luck yet but don't see why it shouldn't work.

    • @tananayuut
      @tananayuut  8 месяцев назад

      I’ve used that before, they been less predictable with so much less snow.

      @@tananayuut Same experience this year for me. Not much snow and the wolves were only in the familiar haunts when the snow was deeper. Once it melted off they were gone. Same with the elk and moose, not in the same areas.

    Beautiful looking wolf that you have for sale. May I ask what your asking? What method do you use for tanning? It's my first year trapping, and I'd like to tan a couple of yotes. Soft tan

    • @tananayuut
      @tananayuut  8 месяцев назад

      They have it for sale yes. Usually go through Moyles and Mink. Better to probably get taxidermy option for higher quality tan.

    • @tananayuut
      @tananayuut  8 месяцев назад

      Normal option works good for numerous critters

    Don't Wolves rub like all Wild Canines? They wear their fur out from it freezeing down when they lie down. Usually quit Trapping in Feb. Because their fur is so damaged. Cats are at their best in march still. Peace out!
