I listened to this track for months on end after one of my best friends took his own life. I’d always adored the song but it took on a completely new meaning when I lost someone so special, someone that I tried so hard to save. I hear him speaking to me in these lines, in the melody. I hear him explaining his reasons, his pain. I hear his fear that he wasn’t good enough, I hear his regret even though he was resolved. I hear his worry that he won’t be forgiven for surrendering. I hear our memories together. I hear the peace he’s found on the other side. I hear the promise we will be together again. I miss you so much, Craig. 🖤

Wow… I never heard this before until tonight. I had fallen asleep with my headset on, listening to my music. I woke up about an hour later at 2AM, and Spotify was randomly playing this song right at the moment I was waking up from a pretty heavy sleep. The four minutes the song lasted I spent slowly waking up and realizing this is maybe the greatest song I have heard in years, and I have to wake up soon to be able to save the song - but at the same time I also wanted to savour the moment for as long as possible. It felt like I was flying or floating above my bed. One of the best musical experiences I have ever had. I just had to share it here before going back to sleep.
The band did a fantastic job with this one, what a song!

i had the same feeling with Goodbye Yellow Brick Road back in the 90s. i had my alarm set up on my radio and this song woke me up. I just stayed in bed, listened to the song until it was finished, and it was the greatest song I’d ever heard up to that point.

This song was really the song that helped me realize I needed to quit the job I was at. Even though times were tough for 6+ months and a few gigs later I made the right choice. Found a new job. Started at the bottom working my way up. But a better environment for me.

The first time I heared this song was on my cheap clock radio when I just woke up. I was flooting 10 feet above my bed during this song, imagine what it sounded like when I heared it on a good quality hifi set. The guitar sound that suddenly emerges orinigates from somewhere between the stratosphere and the mesosphere. Divine masterpeice!!

Nathan’s voice is a gift sent for us straight from the Gods I swear. It’s like liquid gold, everything it touches turns beautiful. In this case his voice is liquid gold in that every note, and every word he sings is beyond stunning.
I have been listening to this song for years now and it still has the power to give me chills, it still transports me to auditory heaven, and it still touches my soul, each and every time I hear it. I love these guys.

The first time I heard this son something strange happened, I felt like I have already known this song and that somehow they were describing me. I listen to it every time I feel disarmed.

Had the local radio station on today, and this dropped on, within 10 seconds I was turning the volume up, not heard this song or band until today. How the fuck did I miss this, it’s 7 years old. Got home straight onto RUclips and I must of repeated this song at least 40 times, I’m addicted to it. I’ll never forget that first listen in the works van, hairs on the back of my neck moment

saw these guys last week. I hadn't heard of them but my friend had some extra tickets. I ended up meeting them briefly after the show, bought a copy of The Cold Still and got it signed by all of them. Very relaxed guys who were happy to talk to fans; both new and old.
