Grinded the shit out of Skellige. Gave the guy the cash. Looked at what he had to offer. Tried to set his camp on fire.
You know it's that bad!
I'll give it a shot.
Yeah, just spent around 45 thousand coin unlocking enchanting up to level 3. And to be honest, it looks like a bit of a waste. I don't see anything here that's really better than the high end stones I already have.
....Trying to figure out what I'm missing/ not understanding here?
PC LOAD LETTER you could've did the shell/sea shell farm trick at that monster's nest close to crookback bogdan in velen and got enough pearls to sell and make the 30k in a couple hours. It took me over two weeks to complete every quest and discover everything in skellige. Huge waste of time and money spending it on enchantments.
Go to Martin Feuille's farmstead, kill the cows and sell the hides in taverns.
praised be the world in its never-ending creation
I thought it was "world's never ending creation be praised"
Thanks. You actually sound like an Ofieri Merchant.
gotta love racist americans 🌚

@@Jayden3649 but they do not in any way at all
objectively. the frequency of their voice and manner of speaking couldnt be further apart.
what he means is that they dont sound like a white american
11:14 Correction: Casting Quen will make your sword has the same effect as the Caretaker's weapon, which means it will heal you with the next hit. It is VERY useful.
For the people stuggling with coin...Just do a shit load of treasure hunts, and sell weapons and armour that you won't use.
Jokesquez 420 I wish we could buy seashells lmao.
Jokesquez 420 yep got more then a 50k selling all the skellegr armor and I found in the water there’s a shit Ton
I'm a bit underwhelmed by the enchanments. The mutation stuff in Blood and Wine is better. I'll probably only use the enchantment with more range for whirl.
I think they are mostly just really situational or build specific, but some are also underwhelming. Severance+levity+ursine+euphoria with light attack decoctionist build is maybe the most powerful regarding both dps and tankiness, but I could see for example the entanglement being really powerful with full grandmaster griffin set(further bonus to yrden traps) and yrden build.
@@wombat4191 How do you mean when you say "Light attack decoctionist"?
@@glacialrelic7878 A build that focuses on using decoctions and light attacks
@@wombat4191 They can be, but I run a heavy attack decoction build with ursine armor. Invigoration enchantment on my swords, ekimmara decoction, leshen decoction and water hag decoction for massive dps. My chest armor enchantment is the arrow proof one, so it's useless in like 80% of scenarios I end up in, but against people it's a godsend and it frees up a slot I don't have to waste on arrow deflection. So I think it's worth it. Besides, it's better than random sign intensity runes which are essentially useless for me since I run an almost entirely alchemy and combat build (the only sign ability I have active is the delusion one which let's be axii anyone that bothers me).
@@wombat4191It is the best build in the game and for that it is worth it imo.
As useless as replenishment is I just love seeing my swords on fire
That enchantment is great using by Quen. The first hit after casting Quen drains some good health back.
@@barsercan7203 it also reduces damage taken if you have the effect
If you run a sign build it's really good bc igni makes your sword actually do damage.
@@andriusakinis3219 Really?
You saved me time testing this enchantments on my own! Saved me gold too.
Good work, i appreciate it, sadly most of the enchantments are pretty useless in my opinion.
+Enrokor Sadly True
+Enrokor Yes it's true, expecially if you use a strong attack build with Quen only. No chest armor is really helpful, they mostly improe signs. Or some at least do, Rotation makes IMO Igni worse.
+Enrokor shit i gave that guy 10 000
CDPR has lots of imagination. Famous for it, really.
...but yes, most of the Runewright's stuff is pretty unexciting. Though personally, I still like having Levity + Wolf or Ursine armor on my melee build a lot. That stamina regen's not to be sneezed at.
+Free Rollin BAMF IMO the enchantments were a great idea. They opened up a lot of new builds
This is the best information available for enchanting in the Witcher 3 and is executed with great video quality. Great job.
I wonder if anybody sees this, but just for information regarding the replenishment runeword. If you charges your sword with quen, the next attack will heal you. So all signs has a purpose with this runeword.
Thanks didnt realized
Cant decide if I want that or the 3 points of adrenaline heal me and lower my toxicity (I’m a mage-alchemist type of character).
@@itscoolthough419 I would go with Replenishment. The effect of charging swords is rather cool and goes well with your theme, as it is magic enhancing which alchemy is as well.
Also you generally don't want to lower your toxicity. You will find that the true potential in an alchemist build comes from his level of intoxication. Many of the skills and mutations gets better with high toxicity or only works over a certain level of it.
Søren Hougaard Rasmussen oh i see, I’ll have in mind that about alchemy. As for the enchantment I put that one.... on my steel sword thinking the effect was for both🤦🏻♂️ . And thank you btw,After two years and you replied mad quick.
@@itscoolthough419 Well that is a funny quirk of internet comments. You can have conversations that spans several years, it is easy when you get notified.
Last year I happened to see this video again, because I had picked up the game again after some hiatus and I had forgotten what the quen effect was. I was so surprised, that past me was the one answering it to present me.
Thank you for the guide! I couldn't find anything this detailed anywhere else. Very useful video!
Excellent guide, I like how you explained and demonstrated the bonuses, saved me a lot of time in crafting my build
Who’s watching this in 2019 trying to decide which enchantment to use? Lol

This quest is a joke I gave him all my money and know he charging to upgrade my sht like tf give me my money back
@@slayerdude212 spamming the same comment everywhere isn't going to get your "money" back lol

Thank you, this is the best analysis for Runewright
I just gave all my money away for this shit
Excellent guide, I just got this DLC and was wondering how useful these enchantments are. Was really hoping somebody on YT had a video of Replenishment in action, and you did! Since I'm an adrenline-focused whirl + instakill + quen build, none of these are especially helpful to me. But anyways, thanks for recording and sharing your thoughts on each enchantment.
Thanks so much for going through the signs with the Replenishment enchantment! I just wanted to see what the visual effects on the weapon looked like when imbuing your sword with the various signs (Igni in particular), so this video gave me exactly what I needed (the Replenishment section starts at 10:50 and Replenishment with Igni is shown at 11:51 for anyone else who's curious). They're very cool-looking effects, and it's a neat enchantment all-around. The visual effects almost make me want to put Replenishment on my Griffin Witcher swords -- the key word there being "almost", as I think I'll stick with the +15% to sign intensity I get from 3 Greater Veles runestones in each sword :P
8:58 Ekhidna decoction, along with forktail decoction, and water hag decoction with a hybrid build and this runeword (Invigoration) is beastly. Mix attacks, hit then with igni for the armor reduction, then a fast attack, then a strong, then use axii to stun and increase your attack power for the next hit ( since Ekhidna decoction + invigorate = inceased attack power with each sign cast at full hp ) then slam them with a fully charged rend. That rend will have +50% damage from Forktail decoction +50% damage from Water hag decoction plus however much is added thanks to the axii. Also, that rend used a full stamina bar, which healed you thanks to ekhidna decoction, with increased attack power yet again for the next hit.
hold heavy attack for a quarter second and let go before animation starts and you can rend like 3 times a second and chain it forever lmao
Maybe toss in a doppler decoction for an extra 50% damage from behind since you're stunning anyway
@@JB-xl2jc if u have a doppler decoction, you are a monster (dude only stole some cabbages and stuf)
@@boliveto Oh, yeah, I forgot that I run a mod where you get doppler and succubus decoctions for the peaceful resolution to the quest. Guess that's mildly cheaty.
i played this game like 5 times already but this is awesome, thanks for the tip
It´s never too late to learn...so thank you!
severance + whirl is op, pop a quen and dive into any enemy and shred half their health before they even hit you once
Thank you very much, MeHow!
Keep up the good work and all the best for your channel :)
if you use grandmaster Griffin gear with sign build aard severance on both swords is awesome just have whirl and rend equipped.
Man! Really good work with this guide. You did a very good job seriously bud. Thank you, cheers from India. We love CD project Red.
This was very helpful. Thanks a lot mate!!
I haven't tried the enchanting yet but nice video, I'll be trying it shortly. Have an great day!
I like replenishment because it gives combat more variety, which is kinda what you want in this game since combat isn’t very challenging whichever way you slice it.
The armor enchantments that enhance axii are both pretty good if you’re playing on higher difficulties. Lesser enemies will usually one-hit each other on death march in my experience, due to their damage being multiplied way higher than their health.
Awesome video man! Thank you very much
you saved me so much time mate, a like well deserved
Really enjoy your quick attack build, I finaly got the earondight and it absolutely destroys monsters.. Still after a good steel weapon... Glad i found you :)
If it’s a Steel sword you be lookin for then look to the south in a land called Toulouse.
I mean Touissant. ( it’s Definitely not southern France 🇫🇷 )
Anyway the steel there is second to none.
I’m sure you figured that out since your questions 2 years ago 😂
That cleared things up. Thx!
Great Video!! Thank you!
Very useful information for clarify and make a decision :)))
Great work. Thank you.
making Ursine gear middle armor is really great for built that uses both signs and sword attacks. it increases stamina regeneration from 10/s to 33/s which is huge + you always have enough adrenaline, so you can cast a sign almost anytime you want. I also like how exploding enemies look, but still middle armor is the best way to go
I was looking for this. I have the ursine armor which is the best but it's heavy and kills stamina. I will use it. Gracias!
wtf is that unlimited stamina
Thank you for this video :)
very good congratulation the canal, the last one has a nice Promotional rolling
this merchant is the real villain of hearts of stone
This was very very helpful thanks buddy
Happy to hear that this video is helpful :)
Thanks for the tips bro. I was using the lvl 3 Igni enchantment but you made it clear how the lvl 1 is good for fighting multiple enemies since the 25% chance of activating this enchantment goes for *each* time an enemy suffers the ignite effect. I cast a lot of Igni so it will be better to switch. Also I will combine this enchantment with the sword enchantment that applies the sign to your next attack 😎 with sign intensity at 132% at lvl 34, let's see how this combo will play out lol
Can you use the Horn of Plenty (Which gives you 25 health regen during combat) with the Invigoration Rune??
nice video mate love it
Awesome guide
Is severance better than invigoration with ekkendra and ekimara decontion with water had and Euphoria?
Thank you thank you thank you for this vid now i can do it in game to
Dude thanks, I love you
nice guide, tthank you
good video!
praised be the world in its never-ending monetization
Protection on my griffphon grandmaster was really nice for Night of Long Fangs
Thank you!!!
Forktail Decoction potion - RELIC has the same effect as : REPLENISHMENT .
The potion can be placed in the quick use inventory - up and down arrows, it has only one charge and it lasts for 1800 seconds
do you think protection is usefull now because of the 3 piece bonus of the grand-master bear gear? you are right, most of the time you can just cast quen regin stamina and engage the enemy but what about when combat starts abruptly? or right outside of a cut scene? it sound useful for boss battles. you start the fight with quen up and fight, when you lose it you have a chance to pop another. all the while saving stamina for other signs and rend/whirl. most of the others seem pretty useless to me because i dont use signs in combat other than quen too often.
Almost completed the game for the second time, but never even new the runewright existed.
very nice... good info!!!
Replenishment activated by Quen is the strongest enchantment combo of the game.Your next blow will stagger the enemy if you have first quen perk and consume good amount of health.
Can you combine the invigoration enchantment with the gourmet skill and consistently generate bonus damage or does it stop working after 1 hit?
Hello mehow ! I really liked the effort you put on this video like the explanation of retribution enchantment that the knight would have to shoot 300 times to kill you!!
I wanted to ask that if you use levity on griffin school it becomes light armour with griffin specs so do we now use griffin school technique or the cat school techniques in the cambat tree?
Also will we lose approx 50 % attack powrr and 10% hit chance critical from the feeling armour?
Please help!!!!
If you use heft on a medium or light armor you can take bonuses from bear school ability and griffin or cat school ability
The Yrden magic trap is invaluable for me when fighting giant centipedes in the blood and wine expansion
honestly i stopped using Yrden after a while. you can see when they are underground and coming towards you by the dust cloud. I usually have a heavy attack swinging into them at the same time they pop their head up.
Thanks for the video. Wots the best method of making all the gold?!?
When i get severance on steel sword, will it also apply on silver sword? because i have got protection on silver sword, and its pretty fun tho..
Question about Balance: I’ve heard that the balance enchantment on ursine armor doesn’t give you the stamina boost with griffin school gear skills. Is this true? If so has it been patched?
Now i understand why alchemy build is insane dank
replenish enchantment is awesome if you're going hybrid
Thanks
so which one would you suggest for steel sword?.......using invig on silver and levity/cat tech on ursine armor.........doubt b/w preservation vs severance
Rotation works With the last igni ability maxed (100% to set enemy’s on fire) it’s amazing on my griffin build, set down a yrden, let them come get zapped and slowed and follow up with repeated rotation Igni
By the time I had the 30,000 coins needed I had already finished the game and DLCs...
Iñigo Zapata lol
Did you do any side quests or loot at all? Lol
I have over 50000 gold cause I explored all those undiscovered location . Those areas have a lot of loot to sell
@@Inji9517 I'm at 250k on ng+ with the runewright bought and all master crafted witcher gear didnt even start dlc minus that one runewright quest.
@@Inji9517 heck I'm like 75% of the way through the story. Just loot all of skellige and sell it
Invigoration can be really useful if you have horn of plenty (gaunter o'dimm give it at the end of HoS)
Prolongation or severence is useful when using with bloodbath mutation or wyvern decoction, whirl is needed
Placation is good if you tend to combat build, but easy to conflict with other adrenaline drain abilities
Rest are trashes to me
Once you purchase an enchantment do you own it outright? Or if you remove it do you have to spend the crowns along with glyphs/runes again to enchant the item later on with the same enchantment if you wanted to swap back to it?
If it weren't for Severence this guy would be totally useless. What were they thinking? I'm not asking for insanely OP stuff but this is a joke. How about stuff like "Every 5th attack adds x frost/fire damage" where your weapons catches fire or something like that. Make it fun. This is boring
severance is pretty op
***** Yes it is. They added 1 OP rune and about 15 that are utterly useless.
levity, possession, protection, and deflection. are decent.
Protection MAYBE. Or you can just cast it yourself. That's more of a convenience thing. Levity depends on your build. There's nothing wrong with strong or medium armor.
Posession and deflection are pretty much only viable against human targets and those are hardly tough to crack anyway.
Hitchslapped
i hope they fix it. like add ones that block all range attacks or ones that add elemental damage. maybe ones that gives the grand master witcher gear buffs. something better than what we have now
Thanks for making this video. To be honest though, the comments here have convinced me to not even bother with enchantments and stick with runes and glyphs as I progress through the expansions. I wanted severance, but it just doesn't seem worth all those crowns.
I wearing Legendary wolven set-mastercraft (Sign build) and used runewrights is Retribution and dual Replenishment. Basic runes all greater glyph of igni. My first sign always igni and quen. It is good or bad, im new on runewright.
do previus rune stone upgrades still stands after enchantments ? like if i have %30 sign power on my armor , after anchantment will they still stands. can i recover it. also with the swords ? same question
WatchTower near kaer morhen has a sword at bidy on 2nd level of wood scaffolding that respawns after save & load 700 coin from master blacksmith in novigrad
I have the entanglement enchantment on my cat armor and magic trap lvl 3 but when I cast yrden I only summon a regular old magic trap. Can someone help me?
Retribution is great for hand to hand fighting multiple targets or a big nasty one mate, of course if you are just getting shot at it doesn’t do much - but that is not what it is designed for.
thanks for this. I hope they add to enchanting when the next expansion comes out - its weak at the moment - but it has potential.
+Von Faahquard they might, but I'm more excited of the sign enchantment, apparently we will be able to modify Aard and some other signs to have other properties, like aard will freeze enemies and push them back depending on how you use them etc. I'm really looking forward to playing around with these new powers........
Kul Zaze yeah that would be a good. They need to do something as it was very weak considering how much gold it cost
Can you have more than one ability on armor ? For example Enchanted boots and trousers?
so what does replenishment actually do with quen? i mean it gives it a green glow but other than that?
so far I liked the igni to cc pepole and the light armor one so I can have the heavy look and have light Armor stats
hi dude. do you use any mods or sweetfx for the game? if so, which ones? thanks
Excelent video
does the effect of greater glyphs used to enchant (example : greater glyph of quen : 10% quen intesity) still persist or they're all traded out for a single effect?
preservation seems like a rather powerful enchantment
Possession with the 2 target puppet is extremely useful! It will rip apart crowds in seconds
Also, entanglement with greater yrden on the rest of the empty slots as well as sign upgrades is powerful. It completely slows down everyone while attacking and blocking arrows and allows you to sit back and eat some popcorn lol
I find the enemy are complete utter useless
Most of the duration they are just stood there and look, they dont even draw argo, wtf
That’s odd. I’ve never had that happen. They’re usually itching to attack me
@@Uneke oh sorry i mean enemy under Axii alternative spell
They never attack anything
My Hentai Girl that’s usually only guards that are provoked. They tend to not attack eachother under axii
The ones that change armor type are for mixed sets, if you have one
so if u use enchantments u lose the glyphs that u already put in a "sword" for example ? or they are there + the enchantments ?
I see no one mentioned it but the Entrapment glyph is pretty god when combined with the Griffin 6 set bonus, you become even more tankier than with Ursine armor, the 20% damage reduction is pretty good
Yeah but you have greater freedom of movement with the Ursine armor and you are already nearly invincible anyway if you do you build right anyway. All that matters are the resist bonuses and the Quen is not that important. Although with the Yrden damage resist bonus you can use a decoction for something else like sign intensity. While with Ursine you will use Griffin + Arachas + Protective Coating. Top it off with a life regeneration of your choice and you will never die.
@@AzureDrag0n1 laughs in nextgen update
Ty wor ur work
Dziekuje!
After blowing 30,000 hard earned coins on the runewright's equipment, I was really hyped about what cool new powers he would offer me. I was wondering about what I must have been missing for half an hour before I realized that that was simply "it". Can't say I am impressed with this "side"grade.
I was expecting an upgrade, but instead, I got heavy tradeoffs that made me think I was better off just keeping my old runes and glyphs. And then I remembered that this has been typical Witcher design for a long time now: give the player tons of options, but force him to choose only 2 of those and to discard the rest. If I have to dismantle my old upgrades in order to install the new ones - which are not really any better, just different - then the new upgrades aren't very much upgrades, are they?
I'm on the fence about a few of them. Severance sounds amazing, but having 90% armor piercing on my steel sword seems much more useful. The same with my silver sword. Having 15% bleeding is so much more useful I think.
Severence is pretty nice (the only thing this fucker has to offer in my opinion). The range difference is REALLY noticeable.
Emm you dont have 90% armor pen you have 90 flat armor pen xD what translate to you doing 90 more dmg whit your steel sword ^^
deflection slightly helpful? dude 1 arrow now takes like 1/5 (ish) of your hp. deflection kicks ass.
I'm new at this. Just paid the merchant about 25k crowns so that I could get to level 3. I wanna know what enchancement fits best for an OP offensive style kind of build and how many enchancements can be placed? Thanks
