Oh OK, I missed in the title about the "prologues," which I never knew existed...and was wondering what was going on in the beginning because I didn't remember Shaw being in this. I guess I'm now up to speed. Lol
Loving the reactions to these movies (Alien/s, Prom & Cov) but I’m sitting here wondering when the penny’s gonna drop? Y’kno.. about David 🤣🤣. Innocence is a beautiful thing. BTW, Amelia the croissant shaped ship/s from Prom & Covenant here are the same model as the crashed derelict ship in Alien, with all the eggs that Kane Dallas & Lambert walked to & from.
The movie has some hints to the Sumerian tablets where the Anunaki (engineers) created humanity as slave labor to mine gold . The Wing symbol (on ship and helmet ) in the movie are Anunaki symbol .
18:20 In the Alien universe, synthetics made to interact closely with humans can eat, even those that don't have human-real appearance. The human-real models can use eating as a way to be more acceptable to humans openly or to masquerade covertly as humans if they have to, though they naturally get no nutritional benefit. They're powered by a power cell within their chests. Whatever an android ingests is liquefied and held inside an artificial stomach so it can be expelled later through a catheter. 23:50 As far as we've been shown in the films, yes. In the larger story, many of the planets that became part of the Independent Core System Colonies were very Earth-like, which was why they were some of the first major settlements humans made outside of Sol. 26:28 The motes hone in on any non-botanical life.
Some good, great even, films that deserve a reaction: *Frank* (2014) - a quirky and heartwarming look at mental health and creativity, starring masked Michael Fassbender. *Shame* (2011) explores addiction and isolation, it is raw and intense. *Hunger* (2008) portrays the 1981 Irish hunger strike. The performance is unforgettable. *Angst* (1983) - a disturbing psychological thriller that is stylistically unique. *Persona* (1966) is a psychological drama that blurs the lines between identity and reality. *The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford* (2007) - a poetic depiction of betrayal. *Enemy* (2013) is another psychological thriller. It explores themes of identity and doppelgängers. *Macbeth* (2015) is visually stunning. A brutal take on Shakespeare’s classic tragedy with powerhouse performances.
I love the visuals, it was stunning to watch on the big screen. In all seriousness though David just wishes he was half the Android that Kryten from Red Dwarf is.
And also has the worst Xenomorphs because it's the first CGI one. There a lot of fodder for the monster, but there's no character development and they all the same. They all dress like monks and shave their heads and facial hair. Some people say it's their favorite, I think they are crazy, but I Aliens is my favorite and some think I'm crazy
@@asian-americanwithanopinio8954 Man oh man over 30 years and so many people still think it was cgi. And are all so sure of themselves! Even though it came out a year before Jurassic Park! Sorry this one really gets my goat because people are so certain while being utterly wrong. And the monk thing was on purpose. And if you're cool with the info, there's barely any CG in there. A couple of shots of debris in the air, and the shot of the Alien's dome cracking - and the thing with that shot is you don't even see the CG! It was only used to track a (hand-animated) crack. Unfortunately in 91/92 they were still compositing the old way and pushing it arguably farther than it could go (look at Lynch's Dune for how hard it is to optically combine bits and match the shadow areas). One more year and that puppet would have looked amazing, because digital compositing would have made it easy. Part 4 did have digital swimming xenos though, years later. And Aliens IS fantastic. A shameless ripoff of THEM!, but still amazing!
In the end scene when David tells his name and security code to Mother, she shouldnt have obeyed his order because according to data log there is no David with Walters voice onboard and with Mother knowing that the droids name is Walter and not David. When david sent the message to Earth that they all died, he gave Walters security code, how did David know Walters security code. Where did David get the capsules to have put the alien Embryos in. After Elisabeth Shaw saw what David had done on Prometheus, why would she put him back together and give him a new body when he could easily have navigated her with just being a head. And to be honest I rather would wanted to see Prometheus 2 instead of Alien Covenant.
Great reaction Amelia to a ok Alien movie. I dont really like that David created the xenomorphs and how dumb some of the characters. But its good to see Ripley Scott back in the directors chair and it does have some cool kills and a nice twist at the end. Big thumbs up
It's really gotta suck going into cryo sleep feeling sick then waking up on fire and burning alive I would have preferred James Franco over the second in command surviving the accident
"Take a look", said the eerie stranger. And he looks. That's where this movie completely lost me. I was willing to overlook the complete absence of whatever safety measures they showed walking in an unknown, alien planet, I really tried. But in the end everyone was just as stupid as the "scientists" in Prometheus. That's just b-movie cheap writing to let people die and show some more gore. Can't understand people liking this and disliking Alien 3, which was a good movie (in my opinion, of course) poisoned by bad premises. Then of course everybody loves Michael Fassbender, including me 😂
@@shamrokz95 Well, no. Especially if you don't know anything, but you've been under attack by monsters all day long, you're on an alien planet, you're probably dead scared, someone you don't know at all behaving very weird tells you to get close to something clearly alive, moving and gross...? Yeah that's stupid to me. I'll watch from the distance, thank you very much (and I'm pretty convinced you would too).
When the people in the movie reacts dumb because the skript is dumb than is it the proof for me that its plausible to me that this could be the decisions of real astronauts. Not cool but so is real life.😂
The point was the alien didn't react to David. He was there first, and the other guy doesn't know a thing about the eggs, so of course he thought it was safe/trusted David. Not realising the trick. It didn't react to David because he's not alive/a person. I agree on Alien 3!
Nice to see the lovely Amelia back for another reaction!😊 I believe David is the original prototype. Being so, he was bound to be flawed. Great reactions to this very creepy Alien film, Amelia!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Didn’t like this movie at first, but upon second watch some of the ideas are really intriguing. I’m still upset they deleted Shaw offscreen and we didn’t get to really explore the engineer’s world.
I enjoy watching Amelia's reactions even with this completely ridiculous movie. The same old tired evil robots ruin the movie. Completely unbelievable.
best one in the series actually. Go watch the original, all the complaints people make about Prometheus and Covenant can be said about it too 🤣 Blinded by nostalgia!
Its so refreshing to have someone watch these films just to enjoy them instead of critiquing every little thing the characters do!
Amelia, the landing & disembark scenes were filmed at Milford Sound in New Zealand.
Oh OK, I missed in the title about the "prologues," which I never knew existed...and was wondering what was going on in the beginning because I didn't remember Shaw being in this. I guess I'm now up to speed. Lol
Same. I was watching and didn't remember the prologue scenes. I found out only the Blu-ray has the deleted scenes.

This is my 4th favorite. Romulus is third. "Resurrection: 4" has the tone of Venom or Amazing Spiderman and it'written by Joss Whedon (Marvel)
Part three is the scariest

David loaded his software in walters body. Thats the reason he had walters half arm.
Should be fun. Enjoy the ride 👍

He didn't. And neither did the Engineers. David likes to think he did, and that's the point! He just helped them on their way a bit.

you skipped alien 3 and alien res to react to this? 💀
please don’t listen to ridley fanboys and go back. those films demolish this franchise.
Speaking of Aliens, Amelia watch The Faculty & Men in Black trilogy. Awesome movies for you 👌.

ahh yes the classic "I wouldn't have looked haha so stupid"
mans acting like the characters know what face huggers are 🤣.. this is the ORIGIN!!

Yesterday, James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader and Mufasa, passed away at 93.
You beautiful girl😊🎉❤
This is unfairly maligned. Nothin' beats first two but I really like this one 🍿
There is a very large push towards transhumanism, looks good on paper but I am extremely cautious.
Love Amelia but we need Alien 3 and Resurrection.

What about second Part of Lord of the Rings? Irs been two months...
We are watching the extended cuts and haven’t had the opportunity but they are on the schedule
❤ thanks. Cant wait...😊
What happened to Alien 3 and 4? (Winona Ryder)
Those movies aren’t canon. The Alien series ended with Ripley, Newt, and Hicks in cyro sleep on their way home.
@@Kennyisdarkvanillathey aren’t canon to you. fox nor ridley has ever issued an official statement saying those films were retconned.

yes, it’s the same dang tropes also with the people being stupid after finding a beacon… then breaking quarantine, then running from aliens.

Glad you skipped over Alien 3 and Resurrection. Those movies are abominations. Can’t wait til Romulus comes out. Great movie!
