So much goes deeply to the many hours of the freedoms that I absorbed in the thousands of miles I spent traveling the open roads of my life just for the pleasure of the solitude to reflect what what true freedom meant to me in this land and country ror which I was so fortunate enough to be born in. Today I truely miss that past,, I am so thankful that I took the time to do it. When I observe these travel films with the nonstop traveling and the background of pure pleasurable music and no talking I am able to be so absorbed into what watching that I swear I can almost smell the high desert plains and the ponderosa pines and rollong fields of sage brush and wild grass. For so many weeks and months at a time it helped me get through those two and a half uears I had spent in Vietnam from 1967 through 1970 and my year near the DMZ of Korea immediately prior to southeast Asia. I earned and took the time to appreciate and thank God and the parents that raised, it is so shameful that it so long for me to fully realize just how lucky I was, wouldn't it be such a wonderfully rich world if we could reallize much sooner in our lives and be able to have the rest of the world be able to experience the same. Thank you ever so much for this time of reflection.
Hi, thanks a lot for your appreciation and the kind words! I had a great time driving in the West, was a wonderful experience, exactly how you described it. Must have been a great feeling to drive there 40-50 years ago, much less traffic than today.
