She absolutely should have said something on live TV. Perfect opportunity to call it out. This is what these guys rely on - kids and women being trained not to be 'rude' or make trouble, so they worry that complaining about the groping is somehow more inappropriate than the groping itself. It's logically completely on its head. The groping is the inappropriate thing! Publically telling the groper to get lost is the right response, no matter the situation.
The stark reality is that the vast majority, if not entirely everyone within certain circles, were well aware of the troubling behaviors associated with Jimmy Savile and to a somewhat lesser degree, Rolf Harris. However, due to the fact that both of these individuals were prominent figures within the entertainment industry, many chose to prioritize their own careers and reputations over the moral imperative to speak out against the misconduct occurring right in front of them. This collective silence and complicity not only shielded these perpetrators from accountability but also paved the way for countless individuals to fall victim to the horrific sexual assaults perpetrated by Savile and Harris. The unwillingness to confront the uncomfortable truths about these influential figures ultimately allowed a culture of abuse to flourish, leaving a tragic legacy of suffering for many.
She said she had no idea or prior knowledge of Rolf doing this kind of thing before, yet minutes earlier she said the women on the team had warned her about his wandering hands!
Abusing in plain sight giving the abuser more power they get a thrill not getting caught when people go no he wouldn’t do that but t you see something and it doesn’t feel right this gives the offender the power to continue and go on to do more horrific crimes
Why would he want to do that, she lay on a bed full of sex talk and then 10 yrs latter starts saying he lifted her dress . It was the 90 s lady Get over it
Am I the only who's findkng it creepy that she's relating her experience to Phillip Schofield? I believe her. Her crew. Manager/producer should have at least confronted him after the live show. She says she wasn't effected by it, but clearly she was. She shouldn't minimise the damage it did to her/other people.
I found this really weird, she's talking very fast a sign she could be acting. And I don't believe she kept this quiet for so long considering she had plenty of chances to tell somebody.
@@honeybee3414 Fast talking just means adrenaline, not acting. And she states very clearly that she told a whole bunch of people at the time. The police also asked her to speak publically about it, to trigger others to come forward.
Why would the police be trawling through 1996 episodes of the Big Breakfast and ask her to come forward ? Why specifically THAT programme and that episode in that year ? Who are the individuals who knew this happened and allowed it to carry on ? Where are their witness statements ? Where is the clip so that we can all see what Vanessa claimed happened and put to bed any ambiguity around his guilt ? She keeps saying it didn't ruin her life at all - yet she claims to have been abused which is a very serious accusation. She's recounted this story twice (that i'm aware of) but nobody that was there has confirmed anything. Nobody jumped to her defence, nobody intervened - I find this story incredibly suspect to say the least....
And unfortunately it's because of comments like yours that victims don't come forward. Your God Rolf was a convicted abuser and a nonce. Stop defending him!!
Are you insinuating she is lying? Weird that your reaction is to berate vanessa for speaking out about her experience. And how do you know no one has confirmed her story? Why would someone need to publicly confirm her story, they probably did confirm with the police. And why shouldn’t she speak out about it? Seriously your response makes me concerned about you, sound like you need your hard drive checking mate.

I've always liked, very much, Vanessa Feltz. Fantastic lady.
