I think we will know who is For Real with 85% certainty around Week 8 which is as early as I'm willing to go because just look at the second half the NFL season last year; Bills went on a 6-1 streak and stole the second seed, the Chiefs looked a little rough near the end of the season and won the Super Bowl, the Eagles went 10-1 and fell apart, the Texans and Bucs came completely out of nowhere... etc.
