Totally agree. There are not a lot of bands that I listen to that have been around for 40+ years. When they come out with that makeup on I'm 12 years old again, using hockey sticks as guitars and pretending to play in my friends basement. I have seen them 9 times over the course of 30 years, I am super excited to see them tonight at The Forum.

Coldplay & U2 use loads of backing tracks. Don’t hear anyone whining about them. We saw KISS in Anaheim this week - mistakes, meter fluctuations, miscues and imperfect vocals. Why would you use backing tracks or lip sync if you were going to let all that stuff happen? But most importantly - the lip-whiners are going to see a live KISS show for musical precision? Bwahaha. Get a life folks. You go to see this band for fun, enjoyment, entertainment and astonishment. I took a non-believer, first-timer. She couldn’t believe the sheer amount of bombast allowed indoors. Smiled through most of the show and had a laugh, and only knew one song. This is a great way to end a touring career. If lip-syncing (which I found no evidence of at this show) is your achilles heel, stay home, and leave the good seats for us! Brilliant show, well done!
Yo! I just saw the Phoenix show tonight and was getting ready to cringe,...but..NO Paul is definitely trying to retrain his voice and give it rests here and there. I'm 48 and have seen them 12 times. It was a great show!!
They have the same speech for each show. Because this is a traveling "play" for lack of better words. They have said basically the same things for years just like a rehearsed script. To me it's hard to tell if this is lipsynced or not. People in the front row would be able to tell in such a small venue. I won't go see them on this tour at all. I was at the last farewell tour with the original members in 1999-2000. That's what I want to remember KISS as, awesome!

Kizz is the hottest band in the world, when you compare Kizz to the weak bands of 2019, if there are any real live bands, mostly computer generated bullcrap, Kizz has stood the test of time and kept it Rocking decades the only other band I give props to is AC/DC
That started out playing clubs in the 70s like every night in the east coast region they were a hard working band back then and still are with a different lineup

If a band of any kind is playing to a track the drummer always counts it off otherwise they'd run into really problems. Eric would have a click track in his ears to keep in time and in sync with the track. Paul counts the song off without warning and they're all in. I don't care either way but it seems very live to me.
compare the verses to every other performance on this tour. The first couple of verses are live then he's miming to track. The "I wanna ROCK ROCK ROCK!" part gives it away.
Paul probably has an ear monitor as well. It’s probably counted off in the click track where to begin the song for everyone. Haven’t compared the vocals yet for this but love gun was definitely lip synced.

I’ve been watching, as a true kiss fan. Listening to them since I was a child. Yes there is some help I believe with Paul. But In the video you hear Paul say “quite down man,” or something along those lines. Before Detroit starts he says “lip sync” because he knows he’s not. I believe this show in particular is truly all Paul. Compared to the other recordings of them playing on this tour. There is some differences. But this show here. It’s Paul. But this guy is well damn near 70 years old. If kiss needs help to get through a show. I’m okay with that. The people that are true kiss fans can look past this. Because we support kiss. No matter what. No matter how they do it. I’m a loyal soldier in the kiss army. No matter what battles they have to face. KISS ARMY FOR LIFE!!
Best Paul has sounded in a while. Maybe club setting works better for him. They should wrap last leg of tour with maybe a no-makeup stretch of club dates (which of course would be priced exorbitantly, just saying).

Look, I like kiss and all. But they are not getting that much attention this tour at all. The reunion tour back in the 90s sold out in days and then the second dates they added sold out just as quick. This tour they barely even sell out venues. Nobody really likes them anymore.

If a band of any kind is playing to a track the drummer always counts it off otherwise they'd run into really problems. Eric would have a click track in his ears to keep in time and in sync with the track. Paul counts the song off without warning and they're all in. I don't care either way but it seems very live to me.
compare the verses to every other performance on this tour. The first couple of verses are live then he's miming to track. The "I wanna ROCK ROCK ROCK!" part gives it away.
Paul probably has an ear monitor as well. It’s probably counted off in the click track where to begin the song for everyone. Haven’t compared the vocals yet for this but love gun was definitely lip synced.

@@jameskason8320 Yeah I'm trying to figure out how they're doing it. I've played in bands for years. We use tracks for keyboards and brass and our drummer counts off every song after he starts the track himself.

I’ve been watching, as a true kiss fan. Listening to them since I was a child. Yes there is some help I believe with Paul. But In the video you hear Paul say “quite down man,” or something along those lines. Before Detroit starts he says “lip sync” because he knows he’s not. I believe this show in particular is truly all Paul. Compared to the other recordings of them playing on this tour. There is some differences. But this show here. It’s Paul. But this guy is well damn near 70 years old. If kiss needs help to get through a show. I’m okay with that. The people that are true kiss fans can look past this. Because we support kiss. No matter what. No matter how they do it. I’m a loyal soldier in the kiss army. No matter what battles they have to face. KISS ARMY FOR LIFE!!

Look, I like kiss and all. But they are not getting that much attention this tour at all. The reunion tour back in the 90s sold out in days and then the second dates they added sold out just as quick. This tour they barely even sell out venues. Nobody really likes them anymore.
