2:49 whine, turbo and pulley squeak, sounds evil. Cant see much function though barely pulled haha
GUYS/Gals I sold the Z, I bought a GTR now. Shits way more fun! Trust me ;)
I thought about doing a twin turbo and supercharger setup on my 350z a while back. This unique setup has massive potential if done correctly . You would have to build the head and upgrade the internals. When done fully building the engine add a Greddy twin turbo setup and underneath Supercharger. The final step is tuning the Z then you have a unique monster with low end, top end power and torque.
thank you. rear mount works the same as turbo under the hood. exhaust from the engine passes through the hot side and spins the turbine wheel in the hot side. the turbine wheel in the hot side is connected to the compressor side or cold side that also has a turbine wheel in it. that turbine wheel sucks the air through the filter and forces it through the inter-cooler piping all the way to the supercharger. the super charger compresses the compressed air that it receives from the turbo. ;)
Well done, Sir! Great car, great styling, and great execution on the upgrades! Never seen a turbo on the back side like that before! Sounds marvelous!
I can definitely appreciate the hard work you put into this project. Good job on completing the set up.
needs a bigger inter cooler and piping all round ,bigger wastegate/dump, turbo back exhaust with an antilag kit for the turbo. also run it on ethanol and take all the excess weight out.......then all these people calling it ''slow'' (its not slow) will deffo be quiet, thing would be like a rocket on heat. mind you if this is a daily driver ive basically said make a race car. im not going to tell you how to build your car its yours. but that's what id do. one thing i would say is add some decent pipework and internals that thing looks like its going to overheat. but its all money. i would work on cooling it more efficiently though looks like its holding it back
The 370z already had a huge problem with overheating, so before I'd do anything else (if your going to keep the original engine, which if I ever get one of these then I won't.) to this engine, I wouldn't hesitate to replace the inter cooler, and I would never have had that pipework done on my project to begin with.
yea I got a mild built D15 that really dies after heat soak kicks in
Jaku Ep Nah, it just needs a built bottom lol. the rest is good.
It didn't look slow to me. Looked like a 50-110mph pull in just a few seconds. That's not slow
Wow, after all these years to come across an AE car randomly... I remember being there when we started that club and there were only a few. Nice build.
that flutter, so intoxicating. Love 350z's!
Thank you so much. good to see i have support from some of you guys. im looking forward to coming back too. need to finish my Z! lol
Awesome work man, can't wait to see the finished product when you get back from deployment!
very cool Bro.! i give you props on the build
absolutely the best 350z set up i have ever seen
great build mate!
Thanks man. One can only try. It sucks some times being away from home and all but its worth it all when I look at the big picture.
nice work great set up
That thing looks mean as hell! I can't wait to see what it's doing when you're finished!
Lee Garasich probably 12s or high 11s on 1/4
That camera was pissing me off lol
You have THE most badass Z on this planet. A thousand congrats on this beauty. Your Z is definite inspiration for me to build my Z and i'm sure for others as well. Once again, SICK FUCKING Z MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, thank you for your service, although America is not my homeland, it is certainly a great one.
To be honnest, for numerous reasons, I never liked the 350Z, but yours is really great! Supercharger+turbocharger=cooool car :)
damn not a bad idea .. supercharger for the low end , boost and charger for that amazing top end.. pretty cool
I have forged internals. just not installed. currently deployed right now. car was boosted one week before i left. had no time to install them. just wanted to see what its going to be like when i get back. i can promises you its nothing like any car i have ever driven! its a good feeling to drive a compound set up. not to mention the beautiful sounds you here from inside lol thanks for watching :)
350z bruh 😮😮😮
💯🏆🤙
Damn.. That thing sounds so mean! lol Nice build, cant wait to see more.
Damn that sound!!!!! Still on stock internals? I toasted my bottom end finally after 2 yrs and 500whp of punisment. Time for a build. Cant wait to see some numbers! Come back safe1
Sick shades brah
Thank you for protecting our country. I appreciate your service. Love the 350z as well, sounds amazing.
nice!!! amazing build props man
All that setup, that thing should have been getting loose. I thought it was about to get beat by the camera car!! Should've been scary...but isn't.
+Johney Aimlessly cam car IS a bolt on 335
I think the engine isn't getting enough air somehow
Dariu zilla Because he is probably on extra low boost. a stock vq35de can barely handle 400whp without a blown rod or various other damages. lucky people can get nearly 450whp stock lol..
that wheel fitment is fucking goals.
how much camber in the rear if u dont mind me asking, and were you runnin any spacers?
Nice ride!!!
cool setup man..
this is a fucking sick build man keep up the good work
ive drove in the rain, and no problems. also just the black intercooler pipe off the turbo scrapes sometimes on steep inclimbs in drive ways or big big speed bumps. but when you have something like this you drive more careful.
Great car. Amazing sound. If it was mine I'd have a prettier exhaust and more complete body. Would definitely like to see more videos
so i read that your out in afghan i wish you the best of luck and to come home safely sir.
and great looking car
got i love twin charge.. its the most best way to go if you can do it
sounds amazing!
Avoid water xD The turbo's intake is super low haha
What you all are probably going to find is that it is putting out less than you think it will be as its not a cumulative increase having both, its more of a balance between bands as the turbo spools differently from the rear, but the SC helps remove the turbo lag a bit low speed.
4:25 Amelia Earheart?
Bruh what lmaooo
?????
@parkerbethke his comment is from 7 years ago bro stfu
Haha
4:24 amazing v6 sound 😍😍😍😍😍
Nice car ,never seen that combination. Stay cool on that deployment .I'm looking forward to some dyno..
car looks awsome
Pretty fast camera car as well :)
Such a masterpiece!
My turbo sends compressed air to the supercharger. the sc compresses the compressed air even more. thus the compound effect. Thanks for watching ;) this weekend my car care taker is making a promo for my car. ill let you guys know when its done.
beautiful car
That exhaust setup sounds nice as hell, but it must be loud as fuck!
holy shit man beautiful z
I'm glad to hear it. Keep up the good work.
I have two inter coolers. One for the turbo going to the supercharger. then the second one is in the supercharger plenum. under the supercharger. The supercharger is using a liquid cooler with a heat exchanger mounted on the front. that liquid cooler cools the air after it exits the supercharger and enters the intake ports.
like a boss! haha well good luck with that man, ill be wait on a video of that whenever it happens :)
Amazing! I can't wait!
need to see more of this
We own the car in the states.
Bought it and it wasn't twin charged anymore. We're the 3rd owners of it since it was owned by the guy who had it in Germany
Wow thats an amazing setup, your on stock internals though?Doesnt seem that quick? Was he not hitting full throttle?
sounds gooood. :D
hope to see you next time at streetculture.
At first I saw the intercooler with a Water-to-air heat exchanger on top and was scratching my head. Then I saw the butt-mounted turbo and was like, "Ooooooooohhh.." Im sure that the torque band is as flat as a board.
Interesting build. I would have simply opted for a single front-mounted turbo for mechanical efficiency.
I am so into these twincharged cars. Thumbs up man. How is the cooling, any issues and do you feel like the cooling has taken up too much space or is that part okay? Do you run E85 or race gas or a compound system(race fuel when the turbos engage fx). Did you adjust it so the powerband is equally responsive across the whole rev-range? Does the SC in your car disengage when the turbos kick in or do you just let both run? What boost level normally do you run? What price(est) so far? (tia)
question for you, what happens when you hit a bump and your oil line to the turbo gets torn off? i love this set up! its awesome, im just conceerned with how low the turbo set up is in the back.
Gotta love that sound 2:24
Rich I think you need to relax a little. Based on your comments I am unsure if their reply was deleted but if not I personally think that if you actually built the vehicles you have listed you would not have responded that way. I have a car that I have lots of time and money invested in that is probably faster than this with the current turbo and fuel setup it has but I am not trying to rag on it like a dick. This build is creative and honestly is the beginning of something badass.
dude this whip is fucking sick
There is very similar looking 350Z in Oregon where I live. Not quite as tuned as this, but the same carbon fiber hatch. Very nice though.
Damn your car is to die for but i know tons of people that would buy that right now.
lol Thanks bro, the turbo feeds the s/c. piping came from sts rear mount kit. water lines i did myself. charge pipe hitting the ground...some times but vary vary little. you just have to know how to drive it to avoid scrape. angel of approach i guess ;) thanks for watching my vid. look for more of my car once i get out of afghan, ill be making more vids and hopefully more races with some exotic cars next time.
Sick!!
The turbo feeds boost to the super. It does not rout around the super. Its not the best way to build crazy power, but it is fun to tinker with haha.
clean setup. i like the supercharger popping out the hood. looks like a muscle car but jdm version. you should do a custom intake from turbo to side bumper incase water. or thats safe idk. awesome car though.
have not been able to messure that yet. im currently deployed. i have done 152mph on the autobohn before i deployed. Thanks for watching. once im home ill finish the project
hahaha thank you man, only 5 weeks till i can continue to Tune her! then ill be posting more videos ;)
keep an eye out for more vids this spring!
OOOOOH that tutbo sound left me shook XD
God damn. This is in Ansbach. I LIKE YOU :-)
Nice car. A new GTR will be my next car if i get the raise i've been shooting for. Hell i'd even settle on a used one and that would leave me enough money over to replace first gear. Do the newer ones have stronger first gears?
not in the mood to argue this, but i do have CP pistons and Manly rods. Just had to deploy about 10 days after the turbo was installed. the reason this car is runing stock internals in the vid. was cuz i didn't have time to install my internals before i flew out to afghan where i sit as im writing this. the turbo was thrown on last minute cuz i didn't want to go all year wondering what it would have been like. this vid is really just showing what its going to be"like"not what it is going to "Be"
VERY NICE!!
Cool car. Doesnt seem like it pulls that hard really. Has it been tuned? Do you have all of the supporting mods for this kind of build? Also, from what I have read, the stock bottom end on these arent very strong. Any plans to build it and up that boost?
well the bmw is a 335 twin turbo Modded. so they have good power. the z is not done with puttin power down though. more to come with tune and timing. we tuned off the MAF, when a MAP is needed. so im exspecting 40-70 more once i change out the sensor.
hi nice setup man , Supercharging for low rpms , and turbo for high rpms , interesting location of Turbo tho what turbo you using? , close to exhaust but air from bottom of car cools it down so not bad , im think of getting 350z myself , and then Turbocharge it now really sure what turbos r good for it ... impressive setup and car dude
beautifull!!!!!
sweet so you gain the advantage of supercharger at the low end and and turbocharger at the high end ? was that the idea ?
Why does it barely edge the bmw? Why 19's when 8"-wide 18's would've worked better for traction, why is there no custom air ram system to feed the turbo inlet (and shelter that general area) when that area under the car is subjected to so much turbulence. It just looks like it's performing worse than a stock stillen upgrade. It does sound really cool though.
good question, have not dynoed her yet. still have 7 months of afghan to go before i can finish tune, tweeks and dynoing. check back in 7 months lol
Bad ass car
All the internet mechanics on here and non are even realizing this car is not even tuned yet in the video. That's a good bit of power left on the table, not to mention will allow the car to run properly on a setup that's completely different than stock. Example: on my own setup the initial run even after a slight calibration was 550whp, but its sitting around 621whp after the tune was complete. This car, even if you think the setup is limited, still has a lot left on the table until it's tuned.
Chase car is a BMW 3-Series I can tell by the dash panel vents and cupholders
sure it is. you can make CRAZY psi. makes the turbo more efficient too lol
amazing build man, how much WHP are you putting down ?
The question is, do you it make good power with it? How was the power band and torque curve?
SOOO sick
Yeahhh this is what i plan on doing to my 350z someday
Judging by your plates, I want to say Ansbach, DE?
Anyway I loved being in Germany. Good job on the build. I imagine the timing is pretty conservative to keep things together. You should consider if you haven't already utilizing water/meth. And since you're in Germany I'm sure you've found the 100RON or 102RON gas stations right?
How could people dislike this?
good job car sounds good curious how much horsepower?
Gotcha. What controller you using? I'm running the eboost street in my car right now. But that Eboost2 allows psi-per-gear (which I want lol)
its not only for 1BAR. I do have CP pistons and Manly rods. I just didnt have the time to install them, due to the fact i deployed about ten days after i finished the install. I didnt put the pistons and rods in before the install due to little time and money for odds and ends. I still need gaskets and ARP studs ect. Ill finish her when i get back from this deployment. Thanks for watching.
man if you hit a pothole that would be one very expensive one, couldnt imagine having that turbo set up there
Interesting set up. So you have a screw charger and a centrifugal? Nevermind it's a turbo feeding the SC that's a first for me. Why did t you just throw another turbo in the back.
No changing the boost pully. i just use a boost controler and change boost by my waste gate. ill add boost to my turbo. and i can do this by gear and rpm.
I know this is probably a stupid question but I’m new to the community, is it possible for a twin turbo and supercharger to be put on a stock 370z? Has it been done before cos I can’t find any online anywhere that has
what gearbox are u running? I'm hearing that the 350z gearbox have a weak 3 and 4 gear. i really want to buy one but the gearbox issue make me not to
Thanks man, some times its better to just walk away. Im doing my best i can.
